NCT ID: NCT06094062 Recruiting - Dyspepsia Clinical Trials

Smartphone App-assisted PPI

PIPPI
Start date: September 5, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are frequently prescribed for 30 days but taken infinitely. PPIs belong to the most often inappropriate medicines (PIMs). Correct intake of medicines (named adherence) can be supported by digital devices such as smartphone applications. The goal of this interventional study is to test the feasibility of an app-based treatment support provided by community pharmacists in patients prescribed a short-term PPI (30 days). The intervention consists in tracking medication intake, symptom course and well-being over the treatment duration of 30 days with the mednet app on patients' personal smartphones.

NCT ID: NCT06092385 Recruiting - Liver Cirrhosis Clinical Trials

SASL Swiss Cirrhosis Cohort

SSCiCoS
Start date: January 20, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a national prospective long-term multicentre observational cohort study following patients with cirrhosis in order to systematically and longitudinally record epidemiological, clinical, histological, psychosocial and patient-reported data and biobank biological material from patients with cirrhosis. The central element of all scientific operation and productivity in the Swiss Cirrhosis Cohort Study (SSCiCoS) is the so-called "nested project" (NP). Based on the evolving large pool of data and biological samples, SSCiCoS investigators use the data pool in order to investigate specific hypotheses and questions.

NCT ID: NCT06091254 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Follicular Lymphoma (FL)

A Trial to Learn if Odronextamab is Safe and Well-tolerated and How Well it Works Compared to Rituximab Combined With Different Types of Chemotherapy for Participants With Follicular Lymphoma

OLYMPIA-1
Start date: December 12, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is researching an experimental drug called odronextamab, referred to as study drug. The study is focused on participants with previously untreated follicular lymphoma (a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma or NHL). This study will be made up of two parts: Part 1 (non-randomized) and Part 2 (randomized - controlled). The aim of Part 1 of the study is to see how safe and tolerable the study drug is. The aim of Part 2 of the study is to see how the study drug works compared to rituximab and chemotherapy (the current standard of care for NHL). Standard of care means the usual medication expected and used when receiving treatment for a condition. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: - What side effects may happen from taking the study drug - How much study drug is in your blood at different times - Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the drug less effective or could lead to side effects) - The impact from the study drug on your quality of life and ability to complete routine daily activities.

NCT ID: NCT06090539 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Relapsed/Refractory Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Start date: December 29, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, drug levels, and preliminary biological and clinical activity of BMS-986458 as a single agent and in combination with anti-lymphoma agents in participants with relapsed/refractory non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

NCT ID: NCT06090396 Recruiting - Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Non-invasive Cardiac Index in Children

NICIM
Start date: October 15, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study investigates the level of agreement of two non-invasive cardiac output monitors (transthoracic echocardiography and electrical cardiometry) in young children under anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT06090162 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-hodgkin Lymphoma, B Cell

LIBERTY: Liquid Biopsy to Diagnose and Monitor CNS Involvement in High-risk B Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

SAKK 38/23
Start date: March 12, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prevention and treatment of CNS relapse remains a great unmet clinical need in the management of aggressive B-NHL. Hence, investigating novel diagnostic tests is of paramount importance to improve risk-stratification of lymphoma patients at diagnosis, as is the evaluation of novel therapeutic approaches that may prevent and / or treat CNS recurrence. Based on the highlighted evidence, the investigators hypothesize that ctDNA detected within the CSF could potentially improve the detection rate of CNS involvement and consequently improve patients' stratification and better discriminate those in need of consolidative CNS prophylaxis on a molecular basis. Similarly, the investigators postulate that CSF ctDNA could be used as a monitoring tool to assess treatment response and guide therapeutic management.

NCT ID: NCT06089902 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Congenital Heart Disease

European Prospective Registry on Anomalous Aortic Origin of the Coronary Arteries

EUROAAOCA
Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Anomalous aortic origin of a coronary artery (AAOCA) is a group of rare congenital heart defects with various clinical presentations. The lifetime-risk of an individual living with AAOCA is unknown, and data from multicentre registries are urgently needed to adapt current recommendations and guide optimal patient management. The European Registry for AAOCA (EURO-AAOCA) aims to assess differences with regard to AAOCA management between centres.

NCT ID: NCT06084325 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Functional Neurological Disorder

The Role of Oxytocin and Interoception in Functional Neurological Disorder

Start date: October 5, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main goal of this project is to better understand the role of oxytocin and Interoception in FND. More specifically oxytocin's association with precision weighing, prediction errors and priors in the interoceptive domains will be investigated. To this end, several methods will be employed: analysis of interoceptive accuracy and sensibility (interoceptive tasks and questionnaires), biomarkers of oxytocin (peripheral, endogenous oxytocin), genetic oxytocin markers (such as allele-frequency in the oxytonergic receptor gene), epigenetics (methylation rates of genes related to oxytocin), neuroactivity (EEG).

NCT ID: NCT06081179 Recruiting - Healthy Clinical Trials

Does Serotonin System Stimulation Increase Pro-social Behavior? - A Comparative Pharmacological Neuroscientific Study in Healthy Humans

Start date: October 24, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The study looks into whether administering psychedelic substances that stimulate the serotonin system influences pro-social behavior when compared to administering substances that stimulate the dopamine system in healthy individuals.

NCT ID: NCT06079970 Recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy VERification

CLEVER
Start date: October 18, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this multi-center randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the added value of needle based confocal laser endomicroscopy (nCLE)-imaging to regular diagnostic bronchoscopic peripheral lung lesion analysis on the diagnostic yield in patients with peripheral pulmonary nodules suspect for malignancy. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: To determine if the addition of nCLE-imaging to conventional diagnostic bronchoscopic peripheral lung lesion analysis results in an improved diagnostic yield (defined as the proportion of patients in whom the bronchoscopic procedure results in a definitive diagnosis out of the total number of patients that have received the diagnostic bronchoscopic procedure). Participants will undergo diagnostic bronchoscopy either with or without the addition of nCLE imaging before each TBNA. Based on the feedback of the CLE images on (in)correct placement of the needle, the needle might be repositioned before sampling. Comparison between the diagnostic yield of these groups will be done including subgroup analysis.
