NCT ID: NCT02781168 Active, not recruiting - Premature Newborn Clinical Trials

Influence of the Use of Hearing Protection in the Salivary Cortisol Level and in the Sleep of Premature Infants

Start date: June 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of the use of headphones in salivary cortisol levels in newborns (NB) during periods of nap aimed at noise reduction, brightness and handling NB, measure the concentrations of salivary cortisol before (baseline) and after the use of hearing protection (response) in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). A NICU nap periods and compare the influence of the use and non-use of hearing protection in salivary cortisol levels and sleep patterns of infants during nap periods of the NICU.

NCT ID: NCT02777580 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

STrategic Reperfusion in Elderly Patients Early After Myocardial Infarction

STREAM-2
Start date: August 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

In patients ≥ 60yrs with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction randomised within 3 hours of onset of symptoms the efficacy and safety of a strategy of early fibrinolytic treatment with half-dose tenecteplase and additional antiplatelet therapy with a loading dose of 300 mg clopidogrel, aspirin and coupled with antithrombin therapy followed by catheterisation within 6-24 hours or rescue coronary intervention as required, will be compared to a strategy of primary PCI with a P2Y12 antagonist and antithrombin treatment according to local standards.

NCT ID: NCT02772991 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Coronary Syndrome

Analysis Between Coronary Angiotomography and Sensitive Troponin in Intermediate Risk of Acute Coronary Syndrome

CONECTTIN
Start date: March 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In recent years, a large number of studies have been conducted on how to improve the treatment of patients in the Emergency Room (ER) complaining of chest pains. Great advances have been achieved recently regarding diagnostic methods aided by coronary CT angiopraphy (CCTA) and sensitive troponins. However, various questions about these methods still remain obscure and there is no effective comparison between them in patients with intermediate risk. The aim of the study is to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of sensitivity troponins in the detection of coronary artery disease in patients with chest pain and the intermediate probability of ACS compared with CCTA.

NCT ID: NCT02771509 Active, not recruiting - Acute Kidney Injury Clinical Trials

Study to Prevent Acute Kidney Injury After Cardiac Surgery Involving Cardiopulmonary Bypass

Start date: February 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The objective of the study is to assess the safety and efficacy of ANG-3777 in preventing AKI compared to placebo when administered to patients at risk for developing acute kidney injury (AKI) following cardiac surgical procedures involving cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).

NCT ID: NCT02767804 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

eXalt3: Study Comparing X-396 (Ensartinib) to Crizotinib in ALK Positive Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Patients

Start date: June 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of X-396 (ensartinib) vs. crizotinib in patients with ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer that have received up to 1 prior chemotherapy regimen and no prior ALK inhibitor.

NCT ID: NCT02766361 Active, not recruiting - Bipolar Disorder Clinical Trials

Cognitive-Behavioral Rehabilitation for Bipolar Disorder

REHABBipolar
Start date: March 2016
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study consists of a clinical trial comparing a new structured group intervention, denominated "Cognitive-Behavioral Rehabilitation", to treatment as usual (TAU) for bipolar patients. The new approach is a combination of cognitive behavioral strategies and cognitive rehabilitation exercises, consisting of twelve weekly group sessions of 90 minutes each. To be included in the study, patients must be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, type I or II, be 18 to 55 years old, in full or partial remission and have an IQ of at least 80. A comprehensive neuropsychological battery, followed by mood, social functioning and quality of life assessments will occur in three moments: pre and post-intervention and after 12 months.

NCT ID: NCT02763566 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Abemaciclib (LY2835219) in Participants With Breast Cancer

MONARCH plus
Start date: December 5, 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the study drug abemaciclib in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) locoregionally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02761590 Active, not recruiting - Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Circuit Training on Knee Osteoarthritis Patients

Start date: March 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Introduction: The increase in intermuscular adipose tissue (IMAT) can contribute to muscle weakness and consequently on progression of knee OA. The prescription of exercise protocols has been used as a treatment strategy to minimize some of the bouts. Circuit training (CT) involves the combination of strength training and aerobic in the same session and has shown benefits in body composition and physical function. But the literature is unclear with respect to the influences of CT in the concentration of IMAT in the population with knee OA. Objective: To investigate the influence of a 14-week CT protocol in body composition and thigh IMAT concentration as well as cartilage degradation indicators and systemic inflammation and its impact on quality of life in patients with knee OA.
