Inclusion Criteria: - Born 1930 or later - Type 1 diabetes - Nonproliferative retinopathy - Normal serum creatinine - Unsatisfactory blood glucose control Exclusion Criteria: - Alcohol/drug abuse - Proliferative retinopathy |
