NCT ID: NCT04146766 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Effectiveness of eHealth on the Self-management of Health Status and QOL Among CAD Patients

Start date: September 18, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This article uses the smart medical case management tracking system, combined with various terminal devices to fully record the measured data (pulse, blood pressure) for case home care tracking to prevent the occurrence and deterioration of the disease. Therefore, with the promotion of the eHealth medical staff and members of the family can instantly grasp the health of the body and cultivate the habits of self-health management and enhance the quality of care. Therefore, we hope to use the Smart Health Cloud as an interventional measure to improve the care of patients with coronary artery disease, improve self-management ability and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT04146090 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Low-pressure vs Standard-pressure in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Start date: October 23, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Background. Many studies have demonstrated reduced postoperative pain in patients undergoing lower pneumoperitoneum pressure level during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, most of them has shown a high risk of bias and low or very low quality of evidence. Considering the need to evaluate, not only the postoperative pain, but the effect of anesthesia and surgery on patient recovery and satisfaction, we have designed a prospective, randomised and double-blinded study to evaluate the quality of recovery, using the Quality of Recovery Questionnaire (QoR-40), in patients undergoing LC under low-pressure or standard pressure pneumoperitoneum. Methods. Eighty patients aged 18 to 65 years of age will be randomised into 2 groups: LP (low-pressure - 10mmHg) or S (standard - 14 mmHg) enrolled in the study. Anesthesia will be induced with remifentanil, propofol and rocuronium and the maintenance will be achieved with sevoflurane and remifentanil Anesthesiologists and surgeons will not have access to insufflation pressure display. The primary outcome will be assessed using the Quality of Recovery Questionnaire (QoR-40) which is a 40-item quality of recovery scoring system. In addition, the intraoperative rocuronium consumption, time to eye opening (time from the discontinuation of anesthetics to eye opening), post-operative nausea and vomiting, pain score, analgesic use, and length of PACU stay (time to Aldrete score ≥ 9) will be recorded.

NCT ID: NCT04143308 Completed - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

The Effects of Simultaneous Training of Walking and Cognitive Tasks on Cognitive Functions of People With Schizophrenia

Start date: November 5, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The object is to develop a training system of simultaneous walking and cognitive training for improving cognitive function of people with schizophrenia. The training program, called "Simultaneous Walk And Think for Cognitive Health mobile application software"(SWATCH App), is developed by researchers. A randomized controlled trial will be carried out to test the effectiveness of the training system. Ninety participants will be randomly assigned to: simultaneous training of walking and cognitive group, the cognitive training group, and treatment as usual group. The intervention for those groups will lasts for 12 weeks, with a 12 week of followup. The measurements include the cognitive function, physical fitness, and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT04141566 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Pseudo Continent Perineal Colostomy vs Permanent Left Iliac Colostomy After Abdominoperineal Resection for Ultra Low Rectal Adenocarcinoma

Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Aim of this study is to compare the cost-effectiveness and the quality of life in the 6 months following the surgery of a pseudo continent perineal colostomy (PCPC) and a permanent left iliac colostomy (PLIC) following an abdominoperineal resection (APR) for ultra low rectal cancer

NCT ID: NCT04122040 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Effects of Roxithromycin on Quality of Life and Physiological Outcomes in Bronchiectasis

Start date: March 1, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

roxithormycin 300 mg per day for 12 weeks could improve quality of life and physiological outcomes in bronchiectasis

NCT ID: NCT04116255 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Effects of Occlusal Splint and Therapeutic Home Exercises

Start date: October 5, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this randomized controlled study, investigators planned to investigate the efficacy of oral occlusive splint and therapeutic home exercises in increasing the quality of life and reducing somatic and neuropathic pain in patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction, determine their effects on other clinical data, and report long-term outcomes

NCT ID: NCT04115930 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Correlation Between Daily Physical Activity and Disability, Fatigue, Cognition and Quality of Life in MS Patients

NCT ID: NCT04114591 Completed - Cancer Clinical Trials

Contributing Factors to Anterior Resection Syndrome and Its Impact on Quality of Life: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study adds to the understanding of the contributing factors leading to LARS, the long term effects of this syndrome post-operatively and its impact on quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT04110106 Completed - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

Correlation Between Quality of Life and Severity of Parkinson's Disease

Start date: February 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aim to evaluate the correlation between Quality of Life (QoL) and severity of Parkinson's Disease (PD) by assessing the presence of an optimal cut-off point on the Parkinson's disease questionnaire (PDQ-39) as related to the Hoehn & Yahr (H&Y) scale in a cohort of Italian adults with PD. A multicenter, cross-sectional study was performed in central and northern Italy. This study was conducted on a cohort of consecutive individuals at three neurologic outpatient clinics. All participants were evaluated with the PDQ-39, and the severity of PD was recorded according to the H&Y scale by a neurologist. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and coordinates of the curve, which were visually inspected, were used to find cut-off points with optimal sensitivity and specificity. These were in turn used to determine the optimal PDQ-39 cut-off score for identifying disease severity according to H&Y stages.

NCT ID: NCT04109378 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

The Impact of NOSE-colectomy on Fertility and Quality of Life Among Patients With Colorectal Endometriosis

NOSERES
Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) represents the most severe form of endometriosis and is present in 20-35% of all women suffering from the disease. Intestinal nodules are observed in 3% to 37% of endometriosis patients. In cases of colorectal DIE, adequate therapy depends on the depth of infiltration and the size of the lesion as well as the woman's quality of life. Removal of the specimen after segmental bowel resection can be performed by either mini-laparotomy or by the natural orifice specimen extraction (NOSE) technique . The assessment of the quality of life and fertility outcome of the patients was done by using electronic questionnaires before and after surgery.
