Filter by:The general objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of the comprehensive protocol in improving post-stroke upper limb spasticity. The specific objectives were to evaluate pain improvement and changes in quality of life and functional capacity in patients who were subjected to the comprehensive protocol compared with those in the patients who underwent sham interventions.
The purpose of the project is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of the internet-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy treatment (I-Navigator ACT) for parents who experience stress, distress, depression or anxiety that may be associated with being a parent of a child with disabilities. The project consists of three studies: Study 1: An open feasibility trial in which parents participate in an individual, clinician-supported internet-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy treatment. Study 2: A randomized controlled trial in which participants are randomly assigned either: 1. Navigator ACT group treatment, where parents participate in an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy group together with other parents, led by two group leaders, or 2. I-Navigator ACT internet-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy treatment, where the parent participates on their own, coached by a clinician via a message function. Study 3: A qualitative study in which a smaller sample of parents from the open feasibility trial participate in semi-structured interviews. The interviews take place after the parents have completed I-Navigator ACT. All three studies are conducted in a clinical health care context.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about INS018_055 in adults with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The primary objective is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of INS018_055 orally administered for up to 12 weeks in adult subjects with IPF compared to placebo.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is often accompanied by a variety of other symptoms, such as bipolar disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), Avoidant Personality Disorder (AvPD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), etc. The behavioral and social complications often marginalize the population, impact on life satisfaction, undermined societal values that impact on economic and financial fairness, and so forth. Furthermore, persons with ASD are neurodiverse from standardized pharmacological and clinical cares, and are interpreted disadvantaged in the context of neurotypical treatments. The research protocol aims to differentiate the neuropharmacological implications of ASD from its behavioral and social implications. Such a differentiation is beneficial to the quality of care for neurodiverse population, both in terms of precision treatment in medical settings, and in terms of psychotherapeutic treatment efficacy in the interpretation of behavioral and social traits. The study protocol continues from the adverse event of the participant in NCT05711810 trial, after the positive immunological results in the NCT05839236 trial. The intervention medicine continues from Sertraline adjusted on the choice of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) in the previous two trials for complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) of the participant, and its combined used with Duloxetine in the choice of Selective Norephedrine Reuptake Inhibitor (SNRI) for norephedrine regulations. The hypothesized target is on the discrete psychiatric intervention centered approach to ASD treatment care. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection and bacterial co-infection are the most common causes of pneumonia. Currently, there is no vaccine available for RSV prevention, and the use of the antiviral medication ribavirin is not widely recommended for children. Therefore, the primary treatment approach follows the general protocol for pneumonia, and oxygen therapy is recommended for all cases of pneumonia with respiratory failure. However, in children, the treatment of RSV and bacterial pneumonia remains supportive to prevent bacterial co-infection and respiratory failure. Probiotics have emerged as promising and safe options for supporting the treatment of acute respiratory tract infections (ARTIs) and reducing dependence on antibiotics in recent years. In this study, investigators propose that the direct administration of probiotics through a nasal spray can offer rapid and effective symptomatic treatment for children with pneumonia who require oxygen therapy due to RSV and bacterial co-infections. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of nasal-spraying probiotics containing spores of two bacterial strains, Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus clausii (LiveSpo Navax), in preventing and supporting the treatment of severe pneumonia in children (who require oxygen therapy) caused by RSV infection and bacterial co-infection. Study population: The sample size was 100, and the study was conducted at the Vietnam National Children's Hospital. Description of Study Intervention: All 100 eligible patients were randomly divided into two groups (n = 50/each): Patients in the Control group received routine treatment and were administered 0.9% NaCl physiological saline 3 times/day, while the patients in the Navax group received LiveSpo Navax 3 times/day in addition to the same standard of care treatment. The standard treatment regimen typically lasts for 5-7 days, but its duration can be extended based on the severity of the patient's respiratory failure. Study duration: 12 months.

Postoperative agitation is a common complication in pediatric anesthesia, with an incidence ranging from 10% to 80%. Common surgical procedures in children include tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, insidious penis prolongation and circumcision, etc. Postoperative delirium and agitation is a clinical emergency, and can have detrimental effects on the child's health. The primary clinical manifestations include disorganized movements, moaning, incoherent speech, confusion and paranoid characters, inability to be concentrated, and irritability, obstinacy or uncooperative; all these would increase the risks of falling out of bed, possible fractures, and all kinds of tube loss. These symptoms would sustain postoperative recovery significantly and pose a possible long-term neurological dysfunction. As a result, an extended hospitalization, elevated in-hospital mortality rate, escalated medical expenses, heightened risk of cognitive impairment, reduced quality of life, and increased incidence of postoperative complications. Traditional acupuncture has been shown to improve cerebral micro-circulation, correct energy metabolism disorders, alleviate chronic pain and regulate visceral function, lessen fatigue and modulate immune. Moreover, acupuncture is a simple, effective and safe therapy. Electroacupuncture therapy is produced and developed on the basis of acupuncture therapy, which has a regulatory effect on multiple systems of the body and can play a regulatory effect that is consistent with normal physiological regulation. Sevoflurane is an inhale anesthetic which is widely used in clinics for pediatric general anesthesia. Due to the high incidence of postoperative delirium and agitation, it has been given rise to great concern on pediatric clinical anesthesia. In order to reduce delirium and agitation incidence, the investigators apply electroacupuncture in pediatric for sevoflurane combined with intravenous general anesthesia, aim to target a safe way to lessen postoperative brain complications on pediatric. This is a single-center experimental study that employs randomization, triple-blinding, and control study. Pediatric patients were randomly assigned to two groups, sevoflurane general anesthesia group (S group) and electroacupuncture group (E group), 40 patients, respectively. Anesthesia induction, maintenance, and monitoring be performed identically in both groups, the S group will not receive electroacupuncture treatment, the E group will receive electroacupuncture therapy. Electroacupuncture intervention will be performed by blinded acupuncture physicians, visitor who is blind to collect preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative data while visiting patients, data statisticians, who are blind to the intervention, data collection, conducted statistical analyses on the data electronically.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immunogenicity, safety, and reactogenicity of the RSVPreF3 OA investigational vaccine in an immunocompromised (lung and renal transplant recipients) population and assess whether a second dose of the vaccine increases the immune response.
