NCT ID: NCT05797246 Recruiting - Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Bevacizumab in Adults With Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (RRP)

Start date: August 2, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Background: Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP) is a rare disease that causes wart-like growths in the airways. These growths come back when removed; some people may need 2 or more surgeries per year to keep their airways clear. Better treatments are needed. Objective: To see if a drug called bevacizumab can reduce the number of surgeries needed in people with RRP. Eligibility: People aged 18 and older with recurrent RRP; they must need surgery to remove the growths in their airways. Design: Participants will be screened. Their ability to breathe and speak will be evaluated. They will have an endoscopy: a flexible tube with a light and camera will be inserted into their nose and throat. They will have a test of their heart function and imaging scans of their chest. Participants will have surgery to remove the growths in their airways. Bevacizumab is given through a small tube placed in a vein in the arm. After the surgery, participants will receive 11 doses of this drug: every 3 weeks for 3 doses, and then every 6 weeks for 8 more doses. They will come to the clinic for each dose; each visit will be about 8 hours. Tissue samples of the growths will be collected after the second treatment; this will be done under general anesthesia. Participants may undergo apheresis: Blood will be drawn from a needle in an arm. The blood will pass through a machine that separates out the cells needed for the study. The remaining blood will be returned to the body through a second needle. Follow-up will continue for 1 year after the last treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05796570 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

A Pilot Study to Evaluate the Feasibility of Post-Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Prophylaxis With Decitabine Combined With Filgrastim for Children and Young Adults With AML, MDS and Related Myeloid Malignancies

MORE
Start date: April 19, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to examine if it is feasible to administer decitabine and filgrastim after allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HCT) in children and young adults with myelodysplastic syndrome, acute myeloid leukemia and related myeloid disorders, and if the treatment is effective in preventing relapse after HCT. The names of the study drugs involved in this study are: - Decitabine (a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor) - Filgrastim (a recombinant granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)

NCT ID: NCT05794841 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Malignant Tumors of Digestive Tract

Multi-omics Study of Tongue Coating in Malignant Tumors of Digestive Tract

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective, multi-center, observational cohort study and seeks to enroll 20000 patients with one malignant tumor of digestive tract or healthy individual. This study collected tongue coating samples non-invasively and analyzed the tongue coating metaproteomics, metagenomics and metabolomics profiles of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. The performance characteristics(sensitivity and specificity) of tongue coating morphology, metaproteomics, metagenomics and metabolomics tests for detection of gastrointestinal malignancies are evaluated in comparison to pathology.

NCT ID: NCT05794477 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Advanced Solid Tumor

A Study of SHR-1802 in Combination With Adebrelimab in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: April 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to observe and evaluate the tolerability, safety, pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity of SHR-1802 combined with adebrelimab in patients with advanced solid tumors, determine the RP2D of SHR-1802 combined with adebrelimab ± chemotherapy, and evaluate the efficacy of SHR-1802 combined with adebrelimab ± chemotherapy in patients with advanced solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT05793957 Completed - Clinical trials for Malignant Solid Neoplasm

Use of Virtual Reality Goggles During Chemotherapy Infusion to Reduce Anxiety-Related Symptoms

Start date: April 20, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial evaluates the use of virtual reality (VR) goggles during chemotherapy infusion to reduce anxiety-related symptoms in patients with head and neck, thoracic, hematologic, and breast cancers. Virtual reality headsets provide the ability for users to explore a simulated, three-dimensional environment with which users can interact. In virtual reality users can play interactive games, enjoy relaxing experiences, and watch immersive videos. The use of VR goggles may help with anxiety management during chemotherapy infusion.

NCT ID: NCT05793749 Recruiting - Lymphedema Clinical Trials

Early Intervention to Prevent Lower Limb Lymphedema of Gynecological Malignancy

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trial of a single center in China and plans to enroll 400 patients. 1. Patients with diagnosed gynecological malignancies who underwent pelvic and abdominal lymphadenectomy and required pelvic radiotherapy; 2. Random grouping (A:B=3:1): A. Prophylactic lymphoedema treatment; B. Standard care group; 3. Preventive lymphedema health education was given to patients with gynecological malignant tumors without contraindications before surgery. All patients were randomly divided into an intervention group and a nonintervention group. The intervention group received preventive lymphedema treatment twice a week. 10 times, and the interval between the two treatments was not less than 48 hours and not more than 2 weeks. The intervention measures included four parts: manual lymphatic drainage, skin care, functional exercise, and wearing lymphedema preventive compression stockings. In the nonintervention group, knowledge education and telephone follow-up were routinely conducted. 4. All patients were evaluated for edema, lymphedema symptoms and quality of life 1 day before radiotherapy, every Friday during radiotherapy and every 3 months thereafter. Bioelectrical impedance measurement and leg diameter measurement were used to evaluate edema, the Gynecologic Cancer Lymphedema Questionnaire (GCLQ) was used to evaluate lymphedema symptoms, and the EORTC Quality of Life Scale (QLQ-C30) was used to evaluate quality of life. followed up to 2 years after the end of lymphedema prophylaxis.
