Filter by:TRANSFORM is a prospective, randomized, open blinded endpoint (PROBE), event-driven, pragmatic trial in patients who are at increased risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular (CV) disease but with no known symptomatic CV disease. The trial tests the hypothesis that a Cleerly Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) Staging System-based care strategy reduces CV events compared with risk factor-based care.
The goal of this observation is to establish a complete registry for the clinical manifestations, environment, genetic, and other related gene variation information of young-onset diabetic patients. Moreover, according to the physiological and pathological mechanisms of different genes, the impact on the clinical characteristics of diabetes, the therapeutic response to drugs, and the impact on complications will be analyzed. The main questions are: 1. The distribution of different types of MODY 2. The phenotypes and clinical characteristics of different types of MODY 3. Response to antidiabetic drugs among different types of MODY Once the participant is enrolled, their questionnaire information (including disease course and development, health history, family history, drug history, etc.), medication, outpatient/inpatient medical history, etc. will be collected and logged in. Blood and urine samples will also be collected for biochemical tests genetic testing, etc. At the same time, the investigators will conduct a continuous follow-up on a regular basis (3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months, and 5 years after the study subject is enrolled). Young-onset type 2 diabetes will be compared to see the difference in clinical presentations and responses to antidiabetic drugs.
The goal of this clinical trial is to document the efficacy of using a habit change application (app) as an adjunct to standard psychotherapy among individuals with diabetes receiving mental health treatment for depression, anxiety, or substance use disorders. The main questions it aims to answer are: Question 1: When behavioral health treatment is augmented with a habit change app for between visit care, does the use of this tool improve mental and behavioral health outcomes? Question 2: Are there certain populations who benefit more from using a habit change app? Question 3: Does use of a habit change app impact healthcare utilization and costs? Exploratory Research Question: Does use of a habit change app impact physical health outcomes, including A1c levels, blood pressure, and weight? Participants selected to receive the habit change app will be asked to track goals that they set for themselves in adjunct to their current behavioral health treatment; those selected for treatment as usual will have no additional steps to take. Researchers will compare the groups to see if there are different outcomes in symptom reports and healthcare utilization.
FIERCE is an observational cross-sectional study. Approximately 90 individuals living with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and/or individuals living without diabetes will be randomized (2:1). The primary objective of this trial is to determine if there are differences in the content and function of circulating vascular regenerative (VR) progenitor cell subsets isolated from individuals living with T2D versus individuals not living with T2D. The main question this study aims to answer is: Does T2D compromise or enhance VR cell functionality? Each participant will be asked to provide a single blood sample. Blood samples will be processed to enumerate the number of vessel-repairing cells and determine the functionality of the different subtypes of vessel-repairing cells.
Dietary intake of fruits and vegetables (F&V) is a cornerstone for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, however less than 16% of Hispanic adults consume the recommended number of servings each day. F&V prescription (F&V Rx) programs are embedded into clinical settings and provide patients with vouchers to purchase F&V at local retailers. The proposed study aims to test the effects of a F&V Rx on diabetes self-management education and support (DSME/S) uptake and retention, dietary intake of F&V and diet quality, glucose control (hemoglobin A1c), and program implementation outcomes.
The goal of this 16-week clinical trial is to assess the health benefits of a low-fat vegan diet on insulin sensitivity and glycemic control in type 2 diabetes. Participants will receive at no cost, study-related weekly nutrition education classes and one-on-one consultation with a registered dietitian.

The investigators recruited 32 diabetic IOD patients with a total of 110 problematic implants who had completed the treatment for peri-implantitis between January 2021 and March 2023 as research subjects. The patients were randomly assigned to the control group or the experimental group using the random number table. The control group received routine postoperative medical advice, whereas the experimental group was given an IMB model-based continuity of care.

This EmLina Renal trial is an investigator initiated, single-center, prospective, open-label, randomized clinical study to examine the safety and effect of empagliflozin 25 mg once a day vs. linagliptin 5 mg once a day for 12 months on glycemic outcomes, renal outcomes and body composition in renal transplant recipients with diabetes mellitus. Glycemic variables will include fasting glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c). Renal outcomes will include change in eGFR, spot urine albumin-creatinine ratio (UACR) and spot urine protein-creatinine ratio (UPCR). Body composition variables will include total fat mass, fat percentage, total lean mass, and bone mineral content as measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). Body composition will also be measured by BIA. The study will be conducted according to the CONSORT guidelines. The patient population for the trial will be derived from Medanta-The Medicity Hospital endocrine and nephrology out-patient clinic. The study will be conducted in Medanta-The Medicity Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana, which is a tertiary care center in North India. Patients deemed eligible will be screened for the trial
