Despite some controversial results, many patients and animal studies have suggested significant benefit of using hypothermia treatment in stroke patient population. However, certain questions for how to applying this therapy properly such as when to start, what is the optimal temperature, how long is the duration, and what is the best hypothermia technology that may avoid the complications including focal soft tissue injuries are still remain questioned. In this study, we will utilize the linear relationship of temperature vs. chemical shift in MR Spectroscopy to measure the brain temperatures in normal men.

A single-site, randomized study to assess the effectiveness of different types of closed-loop auditory stimulation on slow-wave enhancement using SmartSleep in an astronaut-like sample of adults between the ages of 30 and 55. Secondary analyses will be performed to determine whether slow-wave enhancement influences neurobehavioral performance in this population. Participants will be on study for 8 weeks.
This is a phase 3, randomized, observer-blinded, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 rS with Matrix-M1 adjuvant in adult participants and adolescent participants. Additionally providing a Booster Dose to fully vaccinated participants. A substudy is to be conducted at selected sites to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a fourth dose (second booster) of NVX-CoV2373 in adults and adolescents, previously fully vaccinated and subsequently boosted with a third dose (first booster)
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and tolerability of LY3832479 when it is given by injection just under the skin to healthy participants. Blood tests will be done to check how much LY3832479 is in the bloodstream and how long the body takes to eliminate it. Participation could last up to 16 weeks and may include up to six visits to the study center, with a one-week overnight stay.
Currently, there is no pharmacological intervention for mild symptomatic obstructive sleep disordered breathing (SDB) in the form of loud habitual snoring, inspiratory flow limitation (i.e. upper airway resistance syndrome), or mild sleep apnea. Here the investigators study the effect on SDB of stimulating pharyngeal muscles during sleep with AD036. The key hypothesis of the study is that AD036 is superior to placebo on self-reported and objective measures of SDB severity.
This descriptive, cross-sectional study will evaulate and fully characterize factors associated with cognitive dysfunction in Breast Cancer (BCS) and Colorectal Cancer (CRC) survivors that have cognitive concerns, and factors associated with psychoneurological symptom cluster in BCS and CRC survivors.
The majority of men experiencing opioid use disorder and receiving treatment are fathers. Substance use, transitions between in-patient and out-patient treatment, and reunification as a family, all create considerable strain and are predictive of a host of negative long-term outcomes including increased rates of relapse for fathers and elevated risk for behavioral, emotional, and substance use problems in their children. Evidence-based parenting interventions for fathers are lacking in general, yet are exceedingly rare for fathers participating in opioid use disorder treatment, even though the extant research literature suggests the integration of services is not only timely but may help engage and retain fathers in treatment and produce protective factors for children. The goal of this project is to develop and evaluate a prototype of a usable innovative web-based program that integrates existing evidence-based parenting programs, yet tailored specifically to fathers with opioid use disorder and designed for the opioid treatment context in order to promote the implementation and dissemination of father specific empirically-supported treatment.
This is a randomized, double-blind study comparing two different treatments for acute low back pain, oral ibuprofen and topical diclofenac. Participants will be randomized to one of three study arms: 1) Oral ibuprofen + topical diclofenac; 2) Oral ibuprofen + topical placebo; 3) Oral placebo + topical diclofenac. We will determine outcomes 2 days later.
