The goal of this study is to test the ability of small grants and/or peer support to improve mental health among transgender people experiencing material hardship. The main questions the study will answer are: 1. Do microgrants with or without peer mentoring improve mental health? 2. Do microgrants with or without peer mentoring improve mental health by reducing material hardship and/or increasing a sense of community connection? Researchers will compare mental health outcomes among three groups of participants: A. Participants who receive one small grant and monthly financial education videos B. Participants who receive a small grant every month and monthly financial education videos for a total of 6 months. C. Participants who receive a small grant every month, peer mentoring support, and monthly financial education videos for a total of 6 months.

Providing Cancer Care Closer to Home for Patients With Multiple Myeloma

There is very limited data on the utilization of National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center (NCI-CCC) satellite sites in general. Of what is available, most is in regards to providing chemotherapy at facilities closer to patients' home. These "satellite chemotherapy infusion centers", typically community-based treatment locations at community hospitals/facilities, freestanding clinics, or mobile units, are reported to be well liked by patients who utilize their services and reduce their travel times and expenses. In these studies patients still remained in the care of their current provider and site and are required to travel to the site for clinical visits and other appointments. It is currently unknown if patients are willing to transfer their care to a different provider to alleviate travel burden. In addition, although increased travel burden has been lower quality of life in cross-sectional studies, no data exists suggesting that these reducing travel burden can improve these outcomes intra-patient, to the knowledge of the investigators. The patient roles of the multiple myeloma clinical providers at the Siteman primary location have grown in recent years. The providers have determined a need to refer some patients to the satellite sites to relieve congestion at the site while also hopefully improving the clinical experience for those patients. This study is a natural experiment of this process.

Healthcare providers' implicit bias has been identified as a contributor to longstanding health inequities via negative impacts on the patient-clinician relationship and biased delivery of high-quality evidence-based practices (EBP). The implementation of any EBP runs the risk of worsening existing health disparities due to inequitable access, delivery, or benefit of the intervention. Clinician bias can be a critical and unaddressed determinant of implementation for any EBP. Although some implicit bias interventions for healthcare providers are emerging, studies have rarely included mental health professionals. In a previously NIMH funded project, our research team iteratively developed a brief (~45 minutes), interactive online Virtual Implicit Bias Reduction and Neutralization Training (VIBRANT) for school mental health clinicians with promising preliminary findings. The current study will test the effectiveness of VIBRANT-an implementation strategy for promoting equitable adoption, penetration, fidelity, and sustainment of EBPs. One highly learnable, efficient, and scalable EBP that is particularly well-suited for the education sector is Measurement-Base Care (MBC)-the systematic collection of patient-reported progress data to inform clinical decision-making. The proposed study aims to (1) evaluate VIBRANT's feasibility to promote equitable adoption, penetration, fidelity, and sustainment of MBC, with a validated, brief, interactive online training for MBC; (2) examine VIBRANT's impact on proximal mechanisms of change including clinicians' implicit bias as well as distal youth mental health outcomes (i.e., symptoms and functioning) with Black and Latinx youth, and (3) assess feasibility of research procedures for a future large-scale efficacy trial.

A Study to Test How Well Different Doses of BI 3006337 Are Tolerated by People With Overweight or Obesity and With Fatty Liver Disease

This study is open to adults with overweight or obesity who also have fatty liver disease. The purpose of this study is to find the highest dose of BI 3006337 that people with overweight or obesity and with fatty liver disease can tolerate. Participants are divided into 4 groups of equal size randomly, which means by chance. Different doses of BI 3006337 are given to participants in each group. Participants in each group receive an injection of either BI 3006337 or placebo once a week. Placebo injections look like BI 3006337 injections but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for about 4 months. During this time, they visit the study site 18 times. Three of the visits include overnight stays at the study site. The doctors check the health of the participants and note any health problems that could have been caused by BI 3006337.

KB707-01 is a Phase 1, open-label, multicenter, dose escalation and expansion study to evaluate the safety and tolerability of KB707 in adults with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors who have progressed on standard of care therapy, cannot tolerate standard of care therapy, refused standard of care therapy, or for whom there is no standard of care therapy. In this study, patients will receive KB707 via direct intratumoral (IT) injection into solid tumors to assess the safety and tolerability as well preliminary efficacy of KB707 monotherapy treatment.

EMLA Cream as Analgesic for Outpatient Gynecological Procedures

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare pain perception in the study participant population undergoing the following gynecological procedures: Intra Uterine Device (IUD) insertion, hysteroscopy, and endometrial biopsy and given either Eutectic Mixture of Local Anesthetics (EMLA) cream or a placebo. The main question to answer is: • Does EMLA cream reduce pain when administered during the following gynecological procedures: IUD insertion, hysteroscopy, and endometrial biopsy? Participants will be asked to do assess their pain on the Visual Analogue Scale through 3 times during the procedure. Researchers will compare the study group with those receiving placebo group to see if there is a difference in pain scores.
