NCT ID: NCT05722847 Active, not recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Risk Stratification for Patients With Hospital-diagnosed Advanced Lung Cancer

Start date: March 14, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study explores whether supportive care interventions that might reduce rehospitalization could be implemented and feasible, in subjects within a high-risk group of subjects with newly diagnosed hospitalized advanced lung cancer (ALC). This study screened 50 subjects from health records and consented to 15 of these screened subjects. These 15 subjects responded to PRO questionnaires.

NCT ID: NCT05722834 Active, not recruiting - Asthma Clinical Trials

Self-regulation for Older Adults With Asthma Through Remote Education

SOAR
Start date: June 13, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This research is studying whether changing an individual's behaviors may have an impact as a treatment or outcome for asthma. The purpose of this study is to implement and evaluate an asthma self-management intervention through multiple locations in the United States that is tailored to the challenges older adults face and is based on an individual behavioral theory of change. Eligible participants will be enrolled and participate for six weeks in the SOAR intervention.

NCT ID: NCT05722522 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy

Study of Efficacy and Safety of Secukinumab in Participants With Moderate-severe Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy

Start date: August 10, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the present study is to assess the efficacy of secukinumab 300 mg s.c. (subcutaneous) compared to placebo, each in combination with standard of care, in improving signs, symptoms and physical function in participants with moderate to severe rotator cuff tendinopathy (RCT), using a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, parallel group design to minimize bias.

NCT ID: NCT05722444 Active, not recruiting - Menstruation; Heavy Clinical Trials

Sleep and Health Outcomes in Women With Heavy Menses

Start date: February 6, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate subjective sleep over three consecutive menstrual cycles (menses and non-menses) in females reporting heavy menstrual bleeding. Following a baseline phase of one menstrual cycle, study subjects will use a standardized nighttime feminine product during menstruation for their second cycle. For the third cycle, subjects will continue to use the standardized menstrual product with behavioral modification that includes refraining from those sleep behaviors used to avoid nighttime menstrual leakage.

NCT ID: NCT05722015 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Subcutaneous (SC) Pembrolizumab Coformulated With Hyaluronidase (MK-3475A) vs Intravenous Pembrolizumab in Adult Participants With Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) (MK-3475A-D77)

Start date: February 14, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is to assess the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of SC MK-3475A vs intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab, administered with chemotherapy in first line treatment of adult participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The primary hypotheses of this study are MK-3475A subcutaneous (SC) is noninferior to pembrolizumab IV with respect to PK parameters.

NCT ID: NCT05721729 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Postbariatric Hypoglycemia

Effect of Mizagliflozin Repeat Dosing on Adverse Events and Postprandial Glucose Excursions

Start date: June 23, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase 2 crossover, randomized, placebo-controlled, single-blind, repeat dose study in PBH subjects to determine the effect of mizagliflozin on adverse events and postprandial glucose excursions.

NCT ID: NCT05721573 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Inclusion Body Myositis

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of ABC008 for Inclusion Body Myositis

Start date: February 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A Phase II/III Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Multicenter Study to Determine the Efficacy and Safety of ABC008 in the Treatment of Subjects with Inclusion Body Myositis

NCT ID: NCT05721482 Active, not recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Stress and Hypertension in Dementia Caregivers

MIM-DASH
Start date: January 17, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

No demographic group is more at risk for the double jeopardy of caregiving stress and hypertension (HTN) than African American women caring for a family member with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). Both situations lead to reduced quality of life and cardiovascular disease-a complication of uncontrolled hypertension. Maintaining the health of these caregivers is critical to support the well-being of the care recipients. Although some multi-component interventions have addressed ADRD caregiver's stress and quality of life, gaps remain in targeting interventions to address the complexity of chronic caregiving stress and hypertension self-care in African American women. This pilot study builds on the investigator's earlier work which showed that stress, blood pressure knowledge, and complex diet information deficits all interfered with older African American women's hypertension self-care. Lifestyle changes (stress management, reducing sodium, eating fruits/vegetables, and physical activity) are effective in managing hypertension. The investigator's Stage I pilot study is based on the scientific rationale that these lifestyle changes can be promoted by addressing stress reactivity/stress resilience, the psychological and physiological response of the body to stress, as the underlying mechanism to facilitate behavioral change. In this way the study can improve health outcomes (caregiver stress, quality of life, cardiovascular disease risk).

NCT ID: NCT05720611 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Growing Healthy Hearts: An Online Gardening Program for Adults With Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Disease

Start date: January 27, 2023
Phase: N/A

This study aims to assess the effectiveness on an online gardening study for beginner gardeners with the goal of improving diet and physical activity in those with at least one risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

NCT ID: NCT05720494 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Healthy Participants

A Multiple Ascending Dose Study to Investigate the Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of JZP441 in Healthy Participants

Start date: January 26, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Treatments for narcolepsy and hypersomnolence disorders should have good oral bioavailability and brain penetration properties. JZP441 has demonstrated wake-promoting efficacy and anticataplectic activity in nonclinical studies and may represent a novel approach for these patients.
