Effects of Voluntary Adjustments During Walking in Participants Post-stroke

People post-stroke retain the capacity to modify walking patterns explicitly using biofeedback and implicitly when encountering changes in the walking environment. This proposal will assess changes in muscle activation patterns associated with walking modifications driven explicitly vs. implicitly, to determine whether individuals generate different amounts of co-contraction during explicit vs. implicit walking modifications. Understanding how walking modifications driven explicitly vs. implicitly influence co-contraction will allow the investigators to identify approaches that can more effectively restore muscle activation toward pre-stroke patterns, promoting mechanism-based recovery of walking function.

Telehealth Delivered Home-based Walking for Vets With Peripheral Artery Disease

Walking is beneficial for adults with peripheral arterial disease. Benefits include the ability to walk for longer periods and general well being (quality of life). This study will look at two types of delivery methods for a home-based walking program. The walking program includes step count goals, information on healthy walking and motivational messages. The two delivery methods include a web-based delivery and an telehealth delivery. Participants are randomized to either one of the delivery methods or usual care. After 12 weeks participants in the web based or telehealth based groups maybe re-randomized to receive a combination of both web-based and telehealth for a second 12 week period. After 24 weeks, everyone is followed for an additional 12 weeks, so the total time a participant is in the study is 36 weeks. At baseline, 12, 24 and 36 weeks the investigators ask participant to walk (slowly) on a treadmill, perform a six-minute walk test, and several questionnaires on quality of life. Vouchers are provided at each study visit. All participants who complete the study also keep their pedometer.

Inactivity Duration on Lipid Metabolism

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of different periods of physical inactivity on postprandial lipid metabolism in the morning after exercise by measuring plasma triglyceride levels and fat oxidation (burning). The study is a crossover intervention with all healthy participants performing three trials varying in length of physical inactive (12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours). All trials include a physical activity control phase (>10,000 steps/24hr), a physical inactive phase (<1,000 - 1,500 steps/12hr), a moderate intensity cycling session, and a high-fat tolerance test.

This is a study of amlitelimab for the treatment of participants with moderate-to-severe asthma. The study will have a double-blind treatment period until Week 24 for each participant and an open-label treatment period where each participant will receive open-label amlitelimab from Week 24 onwards. The purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of amlitelimab for the treatment of adult participants with moderate-to-severe asthma who have previously been enrolled and completed the treatment period of the parent study. The study duration will be up to 156 weeks. The treatment duration will be up to 144 weeks. The number of visits will be 18.

The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the efficacy of CBT-NC intervention to determine its impact on mental health and suicidality in children ages 6-17. The main aims are: Aim 1: Examine CBT-NC efficacy for improving nightmare distress and frequency in youth with chronic nightmares by comparing the treatment and waitlist group. Aim 2: Examine whether improvements in nightmares relate to fewer mental health problems for youth by determining by comparing the treatment and waitlist group.

Grocery Prescription Program for Medicaid Adults With Hypertension or Type 2 Diabetes

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a grocery prescription program in adults diagnosed with either Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus or Hypertension. Participants will enroll in Instacart Fresh Funds program. Once enrolled each week participants will select foods that are eligible in the Fresh Funds Program to be delivered to their home for 12 weeks. Participants will also participate in a survey at the beginning of the study and at the end of the study.
