There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The objective of this research study is to better understand patterns of recovery after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) amd Total Hip Replacement (THA). The study will evaluate how pain, activity and cognitive (i.e., thinking style) responses determine patterns of recovery, and the study will evaluate the efficacy of gabapentin versus placebo for improving recovery after surgery.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single-center, chronic-dosing (7 days), two-period, two-treatment, cross-over study to evaluate the treatment effect of PT003 compared with that of Placebo MDI on Cardiovascular Hemodynamics following chronic-dosing (7 days) in subjects with moderate to severe COPD.
This is a prospective randomized phase II clinical trial where patients who are receiving enzalutamide in the pre-chemotherapy space are randomized upon objective progression (radiographic and/or clinical per PCWG2 criteria) to docetaxel/prednisone alone or the same combination plus enzalutamide. The primary aim is to evaluate whether continuing enzalutamide in combination with docetaxel in patients who failed or progressed while on enzalutamide would increase progression-free survival (PFS) by 4 months. The secondary end points are PSA responses, percent of patients alive at 1 and 2 years, decline in circulating tumor cells (CTCs), and quality of life (QOL) using validated scales.
This randomized open-label study will be comprised of 2 cohorts: one control group and one treatment group. The trial will be conducted as an open label randomized trial to evaluate the efficacy of tamsulosin in the prevention of post-operative urinary retention. The study will include pre- and post-surgical evaluations of patients including symptoms of urinary retention and any adverse effects contributable to the study medication.
This study will compare sleep, pain and daytime sleepiness/fatigue in people with insomnia co-morbid with fibromyalgia while treated short-term with suvorexant 20 mg versus placebo.
The purpose of this research study is to test an experimental treatment method for recurrent or progressive brain tumors in children aged from 0-22 years. The use of methotrexate and chemotherapy (topotecan and cyclophosphamide) is experimental in this study. This means that their use by themselves or together has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for this usage.
This is a Phase 3, prospective, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, study evaluating the efficacy and safety of LAN plus BSC versus placebo plus BSC for the treatment of well-differentiated, metastatic and/or unresectable, typical or atypical bronchopulmonary NETs. This study contains two phases: the Double-Blind (DB) Phase, and the Open Label (OL) Phase. The DB Phase includes: Screening, Baseline and Treatment period. The OL Phase will consist of two periods: Treatment Period and Follow-Up Period. The primary objective will be to describe the antitumour efficacy of Lanreotide Autogel/Depot 120 mg (LAN) plus Best Supportive Care (BSC) every 28 days, in terms of progression-free survival (PFS), measured by central review using Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumours (RECIST) v1.1 criteria, every 12 weeks, in subjects randomized to LAN with unresectable and/or metastatic well differentiated, typical or atypical bronchopulmonary neuroendocrine tumours. Recent updates of National Cancer Institute Cancer Network (NCCN) & European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) guidelines recommend SSA in first line for the treatment of locoregional unresectable or metastatic bronchopulmonary NETs as an option beyond 'observation' leading to slow and difficult recruitment in SPINET study. Consequently, it was decided to prematurely stop the recruitment in the SPINET study and to transition all subjects still treated in the double-blind phase to the open label (OL) treatment and follow-up phases following respective country approvals of Amendment #5. The new aim of this Phase 3, multicenter, prospective, randomized placebo-controlled clinical study is to describe the antitumor efficacy and safety of Lanreotide Autogel/Depot 120 mg (LAN) plus Best Supportive Care (BSC) in subjects with well-differentiated, metastatic and/or unresectable, typical or atypical, bronchopulmonary NETs.
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of the investigational drug PLX51107 in subjects with advanced solid tumors (including lymphoma), and advanced hematological malignancies
The study will evaluate the feasibility of integrating an intensive pre- post-surgical smoking cessation intervention into a hospital setting, and assess measures of postsurgical recovery as a function of smoking cessation status.
DHEA is a natural allosteric inhibitor of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD). G6PD is a key regulatory enzyme for the survival of synovial sarcoma. The investigators postulate that they can inhibit the production of NADPH in synovial sarcoma and cause cell death by using a naturally occurring G6PD inhibitor.
