his study is being done to collect pictures of burns using an investigational device called the Spectral MD Deep View Snapshot Handheld (DV-H), similar to a camera. The data collected will be used to assess the performance of the DV-H device, and to determine the device's ability to differentiate healing versus non-healing burn tissue. This device, if approved, is expected to give caregivers a better understanding of what parts of burn wounds will likely not heal on their own and as a tool used by the military in the field. This current study involves the collection of images over the course of your clinical treatment and follow-up according to your routine standard of care. The device will not be used to diagnose or prescribe treatment for your burn

SMART-IBD App Trial

The objective of this trial is to test whether a smartphone app, SMART-IBD, is effective in improving medication adherence and self-management skills in adolescents with IBD. The investigators will conduct a randomized control trial to compare a sample of 15 youth (ages 13-17) with IBD using an app that has educational content and medication reminders to 15 youth in an attention control group. The length of the intervention will include one month of baseline adherence data collection, one month of intervention, and one month of post-treatment adherence data collection.

Effect of Virtual Reality-based Training on Balance and Walking in Youth With Autism Spectrum Disorder

The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the effect of short-term (3 days/week for 2 weeks) Virtual Reality (VR) active video gaming intervention on static and dynamic balance, versus traditional balance training exercises, in youth with ASD. The participants in the intervention group will engage in VR active video gaming using the Nintendo Switch Sports under supervision via Zoom for 6 sessions occurring over 2 weeks, from their home. While, the participants in the control group will engage in standard physical therapy exercises for balance and walking under supervision via Zoom, for 6 sessions occurring over 2 weeks, from their home. Their balance and walking will be assessed 3 times, 3-5 days before the intervention, 3-5 days after the intervention and 4-weeks after the intervention. - Participants static balance will be assessed by standing on pressure mat, under 2 conditions, eyes open and eyes closed for 30 seconds each. - The Pediatric Berg's balance Scale (PBS), a 14-point scale containing everyday activities, will be used as a clinical measure for assessing the static and dynamic balance. - 13-infra-red camera motion capture system, Qualisys, will be used for assessing the walking. The difference in the balance and walking parameters will be assessed and compared.

Every patient admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is at risk of developing "Intensive Care Unit Acquired Weakness" (ICUAW). ICUAW is associated with increased rate of mortality, prolonged duration of mechanical ventilation, ICU and hospital stay, rehabilitation time, and reduced quality of life. Currently, there is no effective treatment for ICUAW. Health Discovery Labs is conducting a research study to evaluate the safety of using an innovative experimental medical device in ICU settings that could mitigate ICUAW. This study is meant to demonstrate whether this new device interferes with standard ICU monitors.

A Randomized-Controlled Trial to Investigate the Effect of a Novel Music Therapy Application to Reduce Anxiety and Stress

This virtual, open-label, three-group, randomized-controlled trial will last six weeks. Participants will be allocated into three groups; the Intervention Group, Spotify Group, and Control Group. All participants will complete a baseline questionnaire before completing their designated regime daily for six weeks. In addition, participants will complete study-specific surveys and validated questionnaires at the end of each week (Week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6). The study will include 75 [participants in total, 25 per group, who all have self-reported concerns around anxiety, stress, or depression. Questionnaires will be used to monitor sleep, cognitive ability, and changes in symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Both study-specific questionnaires and validated questionnaires will be utilized, including the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Assessment (GAD-7), the 9-question Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), and The World Health Organisation- Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5). Likert scale responses will be examined from baseline to each check-in. Participant responses on product feedback will be presented as % scores.

Impact of After Visit Instructions on Patient Comprehension

This prospective study aims to analyze the influence of standardized after visit instructions (AVI) and teach back (TB) method on patients' understanding of health information. The study divided routine clinic patients into three groups: standard care, standardized AVI, and standardized AVI with TB. Patient health literacy, satisfaction, and AVI comprehension were gauged through surveys and post-visit follow-up calls. The investigators hypothesized that there would be an improvement in patient comprehension with the standardized AVI or TB when compared to controls.
