Narrative Writing to Promote Healthy Decisions About Alcohol During the Transition Out of High School

The purpose of the proposed research is to evaluate (1) whether a future possible self task (FPST) can lead to changes drinking identity (DI; how much one associates one's self with drinking) and (2) whether the FPST and changes in drinking identity also change indicators of alcohol misuse . This study focuses on individuals who are graduating from highly school, which is a time of transition and identity change. If such changes can be demonstrated, DI may be a mechanism for alcohol misuse and the FPST may be an additional, novel intervention strategy to reduce alcohol misuse during the post-high school transition. The goal of this clinical trial is to test the future possible self task (FPST) in individuals who are about to graduate from college. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Can the FPST change drinking identity (a risk factor for alcohol misuse)? - Can the FPST reduce risks for alcohol misuse? Participants will complete the FPST, a task that involves writing for 20 minutes, and will answer a series of questionnaires and computer-based word categorization tasks. Participants will be followed for a year after completing the FPST. Researchers will compare different versions of the FPST and different doses (one writing sessions vs. 3 writing sessions) to see which are more effective for changing drinking identity and reducing risks for alcohol misuse.

Study of Subcutaneous Epcoritamab in Combination With Intravenous Rituximab and Oral Lenalidomide (R2) to Assess Adverse Events and Change in Disease Activity in Adult Participants With Previously Untreated Follicular Lymphoma

Follicular lymphoma (FL) is the second most common B-cell cancer and the most common type of cancer of lymphocytes. Unfortunately, this disease is incurable with conventional treatment and the disease recurs in almost all patients. This study will assess how safe and effective epcoritamab is in combination with lenalidomide and rituximab (R2) in treating adult participants with previously untreated FL. Adverse events and change in disease condition will be assessed. Epcoritamab is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of FL. Study doctors put the participants in 1 of 4 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. Around 1080 adult participants with previously untreated FL will be enrolled in approximately 250 sites across the world. Participants will receive R2 (intravenous [IV] infusion of rituximab (R) and oral capsules of lenalidomide) alone or in combination with subcutaneous injections of epcoritamab. Participants may also receive investigator's choice chemoimmunotherapy (CIT): IV infusion of obinutuzumab (G) and IV injections of cyclophosphamide, IV injections of doxorubicin, IV injections of vincristine, oral tablets of prednisone (CHOP) [G-CHOP]/ R-CHOP or G and IV infusion of bendamustine (Benda) [G-Benda]/R-Benda. The total treatment duration will be 120 weeks. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

Decision Aid for Education and Support About Cancer Treatment

The goals of this clinical trial are to evaluate DECIDES, a web-based decision support application that provides education about cancer and cancer treatment and provides support to encourage adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients, their caregivers, and oncology health care providers to make informed decisions about cancer treatment together. The main questions this study aims to answer are: - Is DECIDES acceptable, usable, and feasible for AYA, caregivers, and oncology health care providers? - Is DECIDES helpful for AYA, caregivers, and oncology health care providers that are making cancer treatment decisions together? AYA and caregiver participants will complete a questionnaire and be randomly assigned to participate in one of three groups: (1) Usual Care, (2) DECIDES, or (3) DECIDES + Coach. Participants in 'Usual Care' will continue to have access to their oncology health care team for questions related to cancer and cancer treatment, as per usual standard of care. Participants in both 'DECIDES' and 'DECIDES + Coach' groups will receive access to DECIDES, and those in 'DECIDES + Coach' will receive additional live, coach-assisted support. After 8 weeks, AYA and caregivers will complete a follow-up questionnaire and those in the 'DECIDES' and 'DECIDES + Coach' groups will complete a semi-structured qualitative interview. Oncology health care providers of participating AYA will be invited to participate in a questionnaire and semi-structured qualitative interview. Researchers will compare groups to see if AYA and caregivers that receive access to DECIDES (with and without coach-assisted support) report more positive decision-making processes compared to those that receive usual standard of care.

Sinus Disease in Young Children With Cystic Fibrosis

This is a prospective, observational study examining the impact of highly effective cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulators on chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and olfactory dysfunction (OD) in young children with cystic fibrosis (YCwCF). This study involves two groups: children 2-8 years old, inclusive at initial visit, receiving highly effective modulator therapy (HEMT), and a control group of children 2-8 years old, inclusive at initial visit, not receiving HEMT. Outcomes will include sinus magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, olfactory tests, and quality of life surveys obtained over a two-year period.

Patient Experience and Quality of Patch Testing on the Legs vs Back

The gold standard for the diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis is patch testing, during which allergens are affixed to the skin underneath tape and left for multiple days. A large area of clear skin is thus required for successful testing. While the back is traditionally thought to be the ideal area for testing, the thighs may be more available or advantageous. This study seeks to randomize patients undergoing patch testing to have patches placed on the back or the thighs. The investigators seek to understand the benefits of testing on the legs versus the back in terms of patient experience as well as achieving a successful test. This study will measure patient experience using a survey administered to patients. Quality of testing will be assessed by study coordinators prior the removal of patches.

7 Tesla MRI Neuroimaging in Testicular Cancer Patients With Hypogonadism and on Androgen Replacement Therapy

This study evaluates 7 Tesla (T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in observing changes in the brain (neuroimaging) in testicular cancer patients who have decreased testosterone (hypogonadism) and are on testosterone (androgen) replacement therapy. Symptoms of hypogonadism can include fatigue, weakness, loss of libido, depression, poor concentration and erectile dysfunction. Some patients experience mental changes after diagnosis and treatment. There is some evidence that hypogonadism produces structural changes in the brain. The 7T MRI uses radio waves and a very powerful magnet linked to a computer to create detailed pictures of areas inside the body. This study may help researchers learn if 7T MRI can produce better images to assess the changes in the brain structure of testicular patients with hypogonadism and on androgen replacement therapy (ART).

Posterior vs. Anterior Tympanostomy Tube Placement

The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to compare the results of ear tube placement in two different parts of the ear drum. The ear drum can be divided into four parts (called quadrants). Ear tubes are usually placed in one section of the ear drum, called the anterior-inferior quadrant. However, tubes can also be placed in another section, called the posterior-inferior quadrant. Ear tubes usually fall out of the ear drum on their own. In most patients, the hole in the ear drum where the tube used to be closes on its own. Sometimes (in about 2% of patients), the hole does not close on its own and might need surgery. We want to study ear tube placement in the posterior-inferior quadrant because surgery to repair a hole in the eardrum is easier in this location. For this study, children will receive an ear tube in the usual location (anterior-inferior quadrant) in one ear and the new location (posterior-inferior quadrant) in the other ear. Researchers will determine which ear has the new location using random assignment (like flipping a coin). Researchers will collect information about hearing tests, whether there is ear drainage (otorrhea), if the tube is blocked (occluded), and how the ear drum looks for up to 37 months after tube placement. Participants will answer study questions at 2-12 weeks and 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 months after surgery. These questions will ask about whether tubes have fallen out of the ear drum, whether there is a hole in the ear drum, whether there has been drainage from the ear or other ear symptoms, and whether there have been any visits to the doctor for ear problems. Researchers will use this information to compare ears with anterior-inferior tube placement and ears with posterior-inferior tube placement to see if there are differences in common complications following tube placement.
