There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Autism Access Link for Early Referral and Treatment [ALERT], the intervention proposed in this application, is a novel state-wide referral and case management platform that PCPs can activate to ensure that a child with suspected ASD receives all necessary ASD diagnosis and treatment resources in a single referral, radically simplifying a complex diagnostic and treatment process. We hypothesize that Autism ALERT will have strong acceptability and high rates of use among primary care providers as well as among diverse low-income parents of children at risk for ASD, and that we will see increased rate of child ASD educational evaluations within six months, and shortened time between referral and ASD treatment.
The goal of this quasi-experimental study is to assess and compare the effectiveness of text message interventions and a competition-based intervention and evaluate participants' acceptability and experiences in university students. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What are the effects of text message interventions and competition-based interventions on university students' physical activity levels, self-efficacy, self-regulation, social support, incentive motivation, and mental well-being? 2. What are participants' perceptions regarding their experience with and acceptability of text message interventions and competition-based interventions? Participants will 1. participate in a fitness competition 2. participate in a fitness competition and receive text messages 3. enroll in control group
The goal of this randomized, open labelled clinical trial is to examine the efficacy, durability, and mechanism of HbA1c reduction produced by the combination of pioglitazone plus tirzepatide versus metformin plus sitagliptin in recently diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: How effective is the combination of pioglitazone plus tirzepatide in managing blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes? How does this combination compare to the use of metformin plus sitagliptin in controlling blood sugar levels? Participants will receive Pioglitazone beginning at 15 mg daily and ending 45 mg daily. (15mg month 1, 30mg month 2 and 45mg at month 3 onwards)
This will be a single arm, non-randomized, pre-surgical clinical trial of women with newly diagnosed triple negative breast cancer with high g-H2Ax (gamma H2AX antibodies) comparing changes in biomarkers from a diagnostic core needle biopsy to surgical pathology specimen or repeat core needle biopsy.
The purpose of this study is to strengthen the skills and self-efficacy of women by addressing the social and emotional trauma that they have experienced from interpersonal violence (IPRV) and homelessness and to promote positive parenting strategies through Play and Learning Strategies (PALS), an evidence based intervention.
The goal of this pilot randomized clinical trial was to assess the feasibility of telerehabilitation (TR) for patients with Parkinson's Disease (PD). The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. whether the recruitment to such a study will be successful and the satisfaction of both participants and clinicians will be good. 2. Clinical effectiveness of TR for patients with PD was also explored. Participants were randomized to 3 groups : 1. Clinic+TR. 2. TR-only group and 3. A usual control group. Results were compared between the groups.
This research will assess the effect of companion robotic pets on the wellbeing of older adults and their family caregivers.
Burnout shares symptoms with anxiety and depression. While there is no single intervention for burnout, there are validated interventions (which are amenable to virtual reality (VR)) for anxiety and depression. UMassMemorial data from the Professional Well-Being Academic Consortium show that MD burnout and distress has increased since 2020. The investigators believe providing clinicians with a unique tool (VR) will be a feasible and efficacious way to tackle distress. It is known that only 1% of our MDs have done mindfulness training but nearly 50% are interested in doing so. Therefore, a self-administrable, interactive mindfulness program delivered over VR has great potential to reach clinicians who want to practice a more active form of mindfulness at a time convenient to them. The results of the study will provide preliminary evidence to determine if a take-home VR mindfulness program decreases clinician stress.
This observational, prospective data collection is designed to evaluate the efficacy of CL-SCS therapy in real-world patients suffering from chronic pain.
This is a multicenter, global study of the effects of a single systemic dose of SRP-9003 on beta-sarcoglycan (β-SG) gene expression in participants with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, type 2E/R4 (LGMD2E/R4). This study will consist of both ambulatory participants (Cohort 1) and non-ambulatory participants (Cohort 2).
