Open-label pilot study of early inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) for patients developing de novo pulmonary hypertension during Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS.) The study aims to determine whether iNO has possible hemodynamic and clinical benefits when given early in the course of ARDS to patients with evidence of elevated pulmonary artery pressure.
This research project seeks to learn more about how lifestyle interventions can help liver and kidney transplant recipients achieve weight loss goals. The investigators want to evaluate if an intervention using weight and activity wrist monitors, as well as nutritional coaching group sessions is acceptable and useful for post-transplant patients aiming for weight loss. All participants will be given a wrist activity monitor, and a scale. Half of participants will be invited to participate in the nutritional coaching group sessions. The research team will look at weight loss, devices' usage, and satisfaction, and see if there are any difference among the two groups.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare an adaptation of Behavioral Activation, a behavioral intervention, to Relapse Prevention treatment, another behavioral intervention, in a sample of U.S. military veterans with co-occurring alcohol use disorder (AUD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The primary aims of this study are to: 1. Adapt Behavioral Activation to treat veterans with AUD/PTSD, 2. Evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effects of Behavioral Activation for AUD/PTSD, and 3. Explore geospatial analysis as a new method for measuring AUD/PTSD recovery. Participants will complete self-report and interview measures immediately before and immediately after treatment. Participants will also be asked to participate in passive geospatial assessment for 14-day periods immediately before and immediately after treatment. Participants will be randomized to treatment condition, which involves 8 sessions of either Behavioral Activation or Relapse Prevention, delivered individually by a trained study therapist.
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of carfilzomib in combination with sotorasib in treating patients with KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced) or that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Carfilzomib is a drug that binds to and inhibits the activity of the protein complex that is responsible for degrading other damaged or unneeded proteins. The inhibition of this protein by carfilzomib can then cause tumor growth inhibition and cell death. Sotorasib is a drug that binds to and inhibits the activity of the KRAS G12C mutant. This may inhibit growth in KRAS G12C-expressing tumor cells. Combining carfilzomib and sotorasib may be a safe and effective treatment option for patients with KRAS G12C-mutated advanced or metastatic NSCLC.
The purpose of this study is to pilot a randomized clinical trial designed to improve the sleep environments, sleep hygiene practices, and the duration and quality of sleep of children and parents in low-income families. It is hypothesized that child and parent sleep (assessed through subjective reports of sleep, sleep environments, sleep hygiene practices, and objective sleep data via sleep actigraphy collected with Fitbit watches) in the intervention group will improve between Week 2 (intervention session) and Week 4 (post-intervention session) as compared to child and parent sleep in the waitlist-control group.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare staff outcomes in long-term care communities who participate in the intervention versus those who do not. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is employee satisfaction impacted by the intervention and 2. Is dementia care confidence impacted by the intervention. Participants will include monthly coaching visits for the intervention group and completion of surveys pre, immediately post and three-months post. Researchers will compare the intervention group to the control group to see if the intervention impacted the outcomes.
This phase Ib/II clinical trial tests the safety, side effects, and effectiveness of mosunetuzumab with chemotherapy for the treatment of patients with untreated, c-Myc rearrangement positive, high grade B cell lymphoma or diffuse large B cell lymphoma. A monoclonal antibody is a type of protein that can bind to certain targets in the body, such as molecules that cause the body to make an immune response (antigens). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as mosunetuzumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as etoposide, doxorubicin, vincristine, cyclophosphamide and prednisone work in different ways to stop the growth of cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving mosunetuzumab with chemotherapy may be safe, tolerable and/or effective in treating patients with untreated, c-Myc rearrangement positive, high grade B cell lymphoma or diffuse large B cell lymphoma.
The goal of this prospective observational cohort study of pregnant people at-risk of preeclampsia receiving aspirin as part of clinical care or a planned randomized controlled trial of 81mg vs. 162mg of aspirin is to generate proteomic data to show a distinct maternal and fetal Extracellular Vesicle (EV) proteome profile with aspirin treatment, and develop and validate a multi-marker panel for the monitoring of placental function in people at-risk of Preeclampsia and in response to aspirin treatment. The primary research question is: 1. Does the maternal and fetal Positive for Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP+) Extracellular Vesicle (EV) proteome profile in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy differ between people who receive aspirin and develop (or not) preeclampsia? Participants will be asked to give blood samples up to four times during and at the end of their pregnancy.

The purpose of this Phase II research is to continue the successful work of the pilot development and testing by conducting a rigorous scientific study of the effects of Compass for Care, a digital program that customizes behavior change guidance for using five self-care behaviors critical to ADRD caregiver well-being: 1) taking time to recharge; 2) finding information about your loved one's diagnosis and needs; 3) discovering your strengths and limits; 4) exploring outside help; and 5) seeking emotional support.
