NCT ID: NCT02398617 Withdrawn - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

End-Of-Life Decision Making and Preparedness Planning Among Heart Failure Patients Hospitalized for Advanced Disease

Start date: December 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Heart failure is a chronic and frequently terminal illness associated with poor quality of life and high burden of morbidity, re-hospitalization, and cost. Accordingly, recent guideline updates have highlighted the need for improved focus on end-of-life and palliative care of advanced heart failure patients, in whom symptom burden can be high and treatment options are often limited. The aims of this study are to evaluate the feasibility of implementing a semi-structured, outpatient, nurse practitioner-led, educational supportive care intervention concerning multiple domains of end-of-life care not often included in regular, outpatient clinic visits.

NCT ID: NCT02396368 Withdrawn - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Radium-223 in Combination With Tasquinimod in Bone-only Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Radium-223
Start date: March 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase I/Ib study of Radium-223 in combination with Tasquinimod for patients with bone metastases from castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). The investigators propose to determine the spectrum of tolerability of the combination of tasquinimod and radium-223 and determine a dose for a subsequent randomized phase II study (first cohort) and the proportion of men with bone-specific alkaline phosphatase response (second cohort).

NCT ID: NCT02395952 Withdrawn - Cornea Clinical Trials

Healing of Persistent Epithelial Defects

Start date: March 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the relative efficacy of four different treatment modalities (i.e. aggressive lubrication, bandage contact lens, Ambiodisk amniotic membrane, Prokera amniotic membrane) in the healing of persistent corneal epithelial defects following retina surgery.

NCT ID: NCT02395393 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Disorder Related to Lung Transplantation

Confocal Fluorescence Microscopy of the Human Airways in Diagnostics of Lung Transplantation

Start date: November 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Bronchoscopy-guided tissue sampling is a central technique in many diseases including diagnosing and staging lung cancers, diagnosing interstitial lung diseases, and acute and/or chronic rejections following lung transplantation. Confocal fluorescence microscopy is a novel technique used for real-time microscopic imaging of proximal and distal airways, microvessels, and inflammatory cells. We hypothesize that confocal fluorescence microscopy images of airways and alveolar structures during standard bronchoscopy could help recognize and classify the presence or absence of acute or chronic rejection in lung transplant recipients.

NCT ID: NCT02393807 Withdrawn - Healthy Clinical Trials

The Bioavailability of a Spray Dried Dispersion Solid Dose Formulation of PF-06260414 Relative to a Suspension Formulation

Start date: June 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The current study will investigate the relative bioavailability of a spray dried dispersion solid dose formulation of PF 06260414 administered as a single oral dose of 30 mg of PF 06260414 relative to a single oral dose of 30 mg of PF 06260414 administered as a nanosuspension under fasted or fed conditions in healthy adult subjects.

NCT ID: NCT02392676 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Platinum Sensitive Relapsed Ovarian Cancer

Olaparib Maintenance Treatment Versus Placebo in Patients With PSR Ovarian Cancer Who Are in CR or PR to Platinum-based Chemotherapy and Whose Tumours Carry sBRCAm or HRR-associated Genes Mutations

Start date: July 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Olaparib administered as monotherapy in the maintenance setting improves progression free survival compared to placebo in patients whose tumours carry loss of function (deleterious or suspected deleterious) somatic BRCA mutations or loss of function (deleterious or suspected deleterious) mutation in non-BRCA Homologous Recombination Repair (HRR) -associated genes who have a complete or partial response to platinum-based chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT02392546 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Chronic Idiopathic Constipation

Elobixibat Colonic Motor Function Study

Start date: April 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized trial of 36 otherwise healthy patients with chronic idiopathic constipation. The purpose of the study is to compare the effects of daily single-dose oral elobixibat and placebo for 7 days on colonic motor effects.

NCT ID: NCT02390440 Withdrawn - Pain Clinical Trials

Exparel for Pain Control During Care of Rib Fractures

Start date: April 2015
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is looking at a novel therapy of numbing medication injected directly around the fracture site. The purpose of this study is to determine if the study medication, EXPAREL®, is a viable alternative to current therapies for rib fractures.

NCT ID: NCT02389907 Withdrawn - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Association Between Patients' Perceptions of Success in Post-op Pain Management and Overall Experience With Care

Start date: June 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Assessing the association between patients' perceptions of success with post-operative pain management and overall experience with care.
