This study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of QuitBet, a digital contingency management program for smoking cessation. QuitBet combines social gaming elements with participant-funded financial incentives in the form of a deposit contract. QuitBet "players" deposit (called the "bet") a specified amount of their own money into the game's "pot." All "winners" who achieve the game's goal split the pot equally, such that their bet is fully refunded plus they receive extra money from the forfeited bets of players who did not meet the goal. Participants (N = 550) will be randomly assigned to QuitBet or QuitBet-NS (deposit contract only, no social elements). All participants will be offered a second game after their first game (up to 8 weeks total game duration) and will be asked to complete a survey after each game and at 1 and 4 months after the end of the second game (3 and 6 months after the start of their first game). The study will compare QuitBet vs. QuitBet-NS on smoking behavior outcomes and examine potential mediators of outcomes such as motivation, engagement, and satisfaction.
The proposed research focuses on evaluating the mobile application, Easing Anxiety Sensitivity for Everyone (EASE), to improve overall public health that concerns risks and mental health status during the COVID-19 pandemic and to minimize the existing health disparities among Black, Latinx, and American Indian (BLAI) individuals during this time. EASE provides COVID-19 symptom monitoring, exposure management skills, and psychoeducation on stress and it's impact on infection and disease susceptibility. This study aims to compare the effect of EASE to an empirical measurement of standard-of-care digital intervention and to identify the effective mechanisms in EASE.
This data bank will serve as a data resource for a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and basic scientists. Specifically, this data bank will allow investigators to generate preliminary data for competitive consideration in intermural and extramural funding while enabling advanced analytical tool development and deep learning methodologies. This effort will enable the use for leading edge innovation in biomedical imaging by using clinical imaging studies that otherwise could not be used for such developments. We aim to use these data to improve diagnostics and disease management. With this data bank, we hope to improve the quality of imaging and the precision of imaging based analytics to better detect potential health risks, predict treatment response, and monitor disease progression in order to guide management of future patients.

Postoperative pain management in the pediatric patient undergoing tonsillectomy is challenging. Despite being used in many procedures for postoperative pain management, perioperative ketorolac usage in pediatric tonsillectomy surgery is very limited. A recent survey showed that only 8.2% of anesthesiologists use NSAIDS for perioperative management of children with OSA undergoing adenotonsillectomy. We propose to conduct a prospective, randomized study to investigate the opioid-sparing effect of perioperative ketorolac in pediatric patients who undergo tonsillectomies.
This pilot study seeks to learn more about people's experiences with being asked to exercise consistently at a specific time of the day (e.g., in the morning) and whether a certain exercise time is most helpful for becoming more active. All participants will be asked to walk for at least 15 minutes per day at a specified time of day (morning, evening, or time of choice) for 3 weeks each (9 weeks of walking total). Each 3-week exercise period will be separated by 2 weeks with no exercise goal. Participants will be emailed a brief survey about barriers/facilitators to exercise each night during the exercise periods and will receive a weekly email that provides support and encouragement for increasing physical activity. Participants will also wear a physical activity monitor on their waist each day during the study to measure physical activity. Participants will complete questionnaires about their experiences at the end of the study.
The study is a prospective cohort of young MSM who are followed for 2 years either in-person at the PRISM Health Research Clinic and/or virtually with telehealth study visits. Follow-up visits occur as frequently as every 3 months, or as appropriate to clinical needs of HIV PrEP or STI PEP. The investigators will enroll men who may decide to start or stop PrEP, change from daily oral PrEP to on-demand oral PrEP or from on-demand oral PrEP to daily PrEP, to start or stop STI PEP at any point in the study period, or injectable PrEP as an alternative to daily oral PrEP or on-demand oral PrEP. All men will be provided with the study's mobile smart phone app to support early identification of risks for PrEP discontinuation, to provide information about STI PEP and document usage patterns of on-demand oral PrEP and STI PEP, and to support easy linkage to support services for PrEP counseling and addressing concerns or questions about STI PEP and injectable PrEP.

Study RNLC3131 is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter study to assess the efficacy and safety of rifaximin SSD-40mg IR for the delay of the first episode of overt hepatic encephalopathy (OHE) decompensation in liver cirrhosis, defined by the presence of medically controlled ascites.
