Family History and Cancer Risk Study

FOREST
Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Investigators from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Duke University, and Meharry Medical College (MMC) are collaborating on a family health history study to deploy a family health history (FHH) platform, MeTree. Recruited participants will complete surveys, the MeTree questionnaire, and MeTree will determine the participant's cancer risk based on current guidelines. The study team will offer genetic counseling to high-risk participants. Investigators will track participant outcomes and behaviors from the use of MeTree to determine the efficiency of the use of MeTree compared to completion of pedigrees in clinic.

To generate meaningful data regarding ctDNA that would infer risk of recurrence in stage III melanoma patients.

NCT ID: NCT05079035 Active, not recruiting - Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Lyophilized and Micronized Particulate Human Amniotic and Umbilical Cord (TTAX03) for KL Grade 3-4 Knee OA

This master protocol serves as a common reference for the inpatient and outpatient clinical studies that share common elements.

NCT ID: NCT05077254 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Kidney Transplant Recipients

COVID Protection After Transplant-Immunosuppression Reduction

CPAT-ISR
Start date: December 6, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will enroll individuals who have: - Completed primary series of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, and - An antibody response ≤ 2500 U/mL measured at least 30 days after the last dose of vaccine. This group of patients is at high risk for severe COVID-19 disease due to pharmacologic immunosuppression and a high prevalence of non-transplant risk factors such as obesity and diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT05076838 Active, not recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

The Effects of IQOS Use on Cigarette Smoking Behaviors

IQOS
Start date: August 26, 2021
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This within-subjects study aims to evaluate the effects of IQOS use on combustible cigarette smoking behaviors among 100 cigarette smokers who completed the study. After measuring baseline cigarette smoking rate, participants will receive an IQOS device and be instructed to use it (versus cigarettes) over a 14-day period. The investigators will also examine which objective and subjective effects of IQOS use predict a complete and incomplete switch from cigarettes to IQOS.
