There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The investigators seek to assess the efficacy of removing cow's milk from an EoE patient's diet. This will be determined by esophageal inflammation and clinical and histological response to the milk elimination treatment.
The ASCEND post-market clinical follow-up study is undertaken to evaluate safety and clinical performance of the On-X Ascending Aortic Prosthesis (AAP) used in surgical aortic valve replacement.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of copanlisib in combination with fulvestrant in advanced hormone receptor-positive (HR+) solid tumors harboring alterations that activate the Phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3K) pathway.
This pilot study will establish a proof of concept for using a systems biology approach to characterize the dynamics of MS disease processes. The primary objective of the study is to identify multi-omic (genetic, proteomic, biochemical and/or microbial) factors that correlate with clinical and subclinical MS disease activity. Identification of such biomarkers could have an immediate clinical utility in identification of MS patients prone to more aggressive disease earlier in their disease course, thus affording the opportunity to better individualize therapy. In addition, insights from better understanding of the complex interplay of various systems biology factors should improve our understanding of MS in general. The study will recruit 14 patients with relapsing MS who are initiating treatment with ocrelizumab, and follow them for 30 months.
Supplements containing goldenseal, a perennial herb native to North America, have consistently ranked among the top 20 highest selling natural products throughout the last decade. Goldenseal products are marketed as licensed natural health products in Canada and as dietary supplements in the United States. Natural products made from dried roots of the goldenseal plant are purported to have therapeutic value and are used to self-treat a range of medical complications, including the common cold, allergic rhinitis, and digestive disorders, such as diarrhea and constipation. Based on a previous clinical study, goldenseal have been shown to precipitate pharmacokinetic interactions with metformin in healthy volunteers. This follow-up study aims to evaluate the goldenseal-metformin interaction in type 2 diabetic patients. Results from this proposed clinical study will (1) characterize the pharmacokinetic interaction between the botanical dietary supplement goldenseal and anti-diabetic drug metformin, (2) provide evidence-based recommendations to mitigate drug interaction risks, and (3) contribute to the development of a comprehensive strategy for effectively assessing other potential natural-product drug interactions.
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of CF33-hNIS-antiPDL1 in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). CF33-hNIS-antiPDL1 is an oncolytic virus. This is a virus that is designed to infect tumor cells and break them down.
Black women have a significantly higher risk of acquiring HIV compared to their non-Black counterparts. The purpose of this study is to refine and test a mobile HIV Prevention and Reproductive Health app developed specifically for Black women.
This study will evaluate the effectiveness of FSST 2.0 (family supportive supervisor training plus support for use of family and sick leaves) using a randomized control trial design. We expect the intervention will increase supervisors' family supportive and leave supportive behaviors, which in turn will increase employees' leave use and decrease employees' work-family conflict, emotional exhaustion, depressive symptoms, and turnover intentions. This study will enroll a minimum 200 groups of managers and their employees. Managers in the intervention condition will complete pre- and 2 post-intervention Workplace Assessments, 2 online training modules, 1 webinar where managers can review intervention content and ask questions and share reactions on the materials. Managers in the control group and employees in both groups will complete pre- and 2 post-intervention Workplace Assessments. The post-intervention Workplace Assessment will be completed 3 and 6 months after the intervention. The total duration of the study is 9 months as the wait list control group will be offered the intervention and 2nd follow up survey after the 6-month trial.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of olezarsen as compared to placebo on the percent change in fasting triglycerides (TG) from baseline.
The researchers are doing this study to find out whether giving 177Lu-PSMA-617 followed by a type of radiation therapy called SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy) is a safe treatment for your cancer. The study agent has been shown to target tumor cells, and the researchers think that adding 177Lu-PSMA-617 to SBRT may prevent or delay the cancer from continuing to spread.
