NCT ID: NCT04291027 Terminated - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

Aquatic Group Exercise for People With Parkinson Disease

Start date: February 28, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will investigate the impact of land based or aquatic based group exercise on the balance, walking, balance confidence, and quality of life of people with idiopathic Parkinson disease. Participants will be randomized to participate in a land based or aquatic based group exercise program 2 times per week for 12 weeks. Prior to and after participation, balance, walking, quality of life, and balance confidence will be measured by a blinded examiner.

NCT ID: NCT04290455 Terminated - Clinical trials for Anterior Blepharitis

Treatment of Anterior Blepharitis With Microblepharoexfoliation Procedure

Start date: June 2, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of microblepharoexfoliation by BlephEx™ as an adjunct to eyelid cleansing in the treatment of anterior blepharitis and to validate the grading score of lid contamination to describe the severity of anterior blepharitis. Design: A prospective, randomized, paired-eye trial. Methods: One of patients' eyes will be randomized into the microblepharoexfoliation group which will use the BlephExTM device during the in-house lid cleansing procedure. The other eye will be in the control group which will receive conventional lid cleansing. The parameters indicating the efficacy of the microblepharoexfoliation procedure including the symptom scoring system; the Standard Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness Questionnaire (SPEED), lashes contamination, lid margin redness, number of preservative free artificial tears used per day, meibomian gland quality and expressibility will be recorded at the screening visit and 3-week follow-up visit. The patient will be instructed to do warm compression and lid cleansing at home once a day with Optase eyelid scrubs for 3 weeks on both eyes before follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT04288856 Terminated - Clinical trials for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Study to Assess the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Effect on Disease Progression of BIIB078 Administered to Previously Treated Adults C9ORF72-Associated Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

Start date: April 28, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of BIIB078 in participants with chromosome 9 open reading frame 72-amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (C9ORF72-ALS). The secondary objective is to evaluate the pharmacokinectic (PK) of BIIB078 in participants with C9ORF72-ALS.

NCT ID: NCT04288180 Terminated - Clinical trials for Social Anxiety Disorder

Social Anxiety Virtual Reality Study

SAVR
Start date: January 15, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This project aims to validate a virtual reality paradigm that assesses maladaptive avoidance behavior in social anxiety disorder. It also aims to generate a significant scientific advance by testing the hypothesis that maladaptive avoidance maintains anxiety through disruptions in safety learning.

NCT ID: NCT04287790 Terminated - Clinical trials for Alcohol Use Disorder

Promoting Medications for Alcohol Use Disorder on the General Medicine Service

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Medications for Alcohol use disorder (MAUD) (acamprosate, naltrexone, and disulfiram) remain underutilized despite guideline recommendations and rising alcohol-related morbidity and mortality. Alcohol use disorder (AUD)-related hospitalizations are opportunities to initiate MAUD, but optimal implementation strategies are unclear. We will complete a 6 month pilot implementation intervention involving audit and feedback, educational meetings, and academic detailing for health professionals at Yale New Haven Hospital to determine the impact on: 1) health professional satisfaction with intervention components, 2) health professional knowledge and attitudes about medications for alcohol use disorder, 3) receipt of medication among hospitalized patients diagnosed with an alcohol use disorder and 4) 30 day readmission among hospitalized patients with alcohol use disorder. Health professional satisfaction and knowledge with be assessed using a pre-post design and receipt of medications and 30 day readmission will be assessed using a interrupted time series design. We hypothesize health professional knowledge and attitudes about MAUD will be greater after the pilot intervention compared to before. We hypothesize receipt of MAUD will be greater after the pilot intervention compared to before. We hypothesize 30 day readmission will be less after the pilot intervention compared to before.

NCT ID: NCT04287478 Terminated - Clinical trials for Urinary Tract Infection Bacterial

Bacteriophage Therapy in Patients With Urinary Tract Infections

Start date: December 9, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase I/II trial designed to evaluate bacteriophage therapy in patients with urinary tract infections.

NCT ID: NCT04287075 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Neuropathic Pain

Surgical Treatment of Chronic Neuropathic Pain

Rethink Pain
Start date: February 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Observational registry study assessing the subject's pain history and the impact of surgery for the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain by comparing post-operative outcomes (pain level, pain medication usage, quality of life outcomes, and nerve functional outcome) to pre-operative levels.

NCT ID: NCT04286594 Terminated - Anxiety Clinical Trials

A Clinical Trial of a Hemp-Derived Cannabidiol Product for Anxiety

Start date: February 1, 2021
