There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a multi-centre, single-blind, placebo-controlled trial with an open label follow up. After the baseline assessment, all participants will receive the GyroGlove for two weeks during the open label follow up part of the trial. All gloves will be retrieved and returned to GyroGear after closure of the study.
The purpose of this study is to find out if reSET, an FDA authorized mobile therapeutic, is effective in treating stimulant use disorder and helping keep HIV viral load suppression stable among men who have sex with men who are living with HIV and have a stimulant use disorder.
The goal of this research study is to assess the FDA approved technique for inserting a feeding tube (gastrostomy) along with a breathing tube (tracheostomy) for patients that cannot breathe or eat on their own in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). All subjects in the study will receive a tracheostomy, but each patient will be randomly assigned a common method for gastrostomy placement. The placement of the tube and tracheostomy will occur as part of normal clinical practice. Researchers will compare subjects in the control group and the intervention group to evaluate the benefits of performing a tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube at the same time. Researchers will also evaluate the likelihood of the PUG procedure decreasing a patient's length of stay in the ICU.
The goal of the study is to develop and pilot a personalized behavioral parent training intervention for caregivers of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The behavioral intervention will teach positive parenting through videos and quizzes that caregivers can access through a smartphone application. The program also gives parents and caregivers in-the-moment feedback their use of parenting strategies. The main questions to answer are: Is parenting feedback provided by a smartphone application acceptable to caregivers? Is the phone application usable and acceptable to parents and caregivers of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder? In the pilot trial, participants (parents/caregivers) will be randomly assigned to either (1) use the positive parenting intervention phone application (mobile Behavioral Parent Training: mBPT) or (2) use mBPT and receive brief, personalized phone prompts throughout their participation that target parenting behavior and intervention engagement.
Elucirem (Gadopiclenol) is a new macrocyclic gadolinium-based contrast agent (GBCA) with high relaxivity indicated for use in adults and children aged 2 years and older for contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging. The product was approved in 2022 by FDA to be used to detect and visualize lesions with abnormal vascularity in the central nervous system (brain, spine and associated tissues) and the body (head and neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system). However, given its at least twofold higher relaxivity than other GBCAs, the performance of Elucirem in cardiac MR (CMR) has yet to be demonstrated. The hypothesis for the study: Half dose (0.05mmol/kg) Elucirem is not inferior to double dose (0.2 mmol/kg) Dotarem in the myocardial scar assessment. All participants will be selected from the investigators previous CMR study cohort with double-dose Dotarem T1 mapping and LGE images. Ten participants without scars will be recruited for the Phase I dose evaluation. Five for 0.05 mmol/kg and five for 0.075 mmol/kg. The investigators have identified 15 participants with LGE findings from double-dose Dotarem CMR acquired in the years 2021, 2022, or earlier years. This study was performed in August 2022. The same protocol will be used for single-dose Elucirem.
this is a trial evaluating three chemotherapy agents in patients with newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients that are Stage III or Stage IV prior to surgery to remove the tumor. After surgery there will be additional chemotherapy given.
The study aims to investigate the relationship between fasting insulin and Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) across various demographic factors, including age, sex, race/ethnicity, BMI, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis. By analyzing these variables, the study seeks to identify potential variations in insulin levels, which could provide valuable insights into the impact of different factors on metabolic health and the development of insulin-related conditions.
A study to assess the effect of the Dry Eye Drink on eye dryness
To evaluate the effect of graded exposure and mindfulness meditation after ACLR, the investigators will determine the effect of graded exposure and mindfulness meditation to 1) decrease self-reported injury-related fear and reinjury anxiety, and 2) improve lower extremity reaction time when compared to a waitlist control group.
Over the past decade, the investigators have developed and tested a toll with the potential to enhance PROs at the individual level- embodied conversational agents (ECA), which are computer characters that simulate face-to-face conversation using voice, hand gestures, gaze cues, and other nonverbal behavior. The investigators have successfully used ECAs in behavioral interventions for populations with limited health literacy, elderly patients, and patients with cancer. Face-to-face encounters, in conjunction with written instructions supported by pictures, remains one of the best methods for communicating information in general but is particularly effective for individuals with limited health literacy. The investigators have also demonstrated that ECAs can be used as valid alternatives to standard paper-based surveys for substance use screening, and that the display of empathy for patients and other relational behavior by ECAs leads to increased engagement by patients over time.
