NCT ID: NCT04381182 Terminated - Stress Clinical Trials

Heart Rate Variability and Stress Management Enhancement

Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will be conducted by using two devices (Apollo and Biostrap) for monitoring of baseline physiologic variables and heart rate variability. The biostrap will be worn by residents and will monitor heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, sleep patterns, steps, etc. The Apollo is a pulse generator device aimed at modulating heart rate variability for (hopefully) reduction in stress and improving performance in and around the hospital. Resident neurosurgeons will wear the biostrap for a two week cycle and follow that with the addition of the Apollo device for heart rate variability modulation.

NCT ID: NCT04381052 Terminated - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Study for the Use of the IL-6 Inhibitor Clazakizumab in Patients With Life-threatening COVID-19 Infection

Start date: May 18, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In this study, the investigators propose to administer clazakizumab to patients with life-threatening Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection manifest by pulmonary failure and a clinical picture consistent with a cytokine storm syndrome. This is a single-center randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in which 30 patients will be enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to two study arms and receive clazakizumab at a dose of 25 mg or placebo.

NCT ID: NCT04379375 Terminated - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Nudges to Improve Health Behaviors That Limit COVID-19 Spread

Start date: July 27, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This investigation is a randomized intervention trial that evaluates behavioral nudges (BN) to increase hand washing behavior and subsequently reduce COVID-19 spreading to a targeted high-risk patient population based in Wisconsin.

NCT ID: NCT04379024 Terminated - Clinical trials for Focus of Study is Healthy Women at Risk for Breast Cancer

Pilot Study of Effects of Duavee® on Imaging and Blood Biomarkers In Women With Menopausal Symptoms

Start date: June 1, 2020
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Pilot study to test feasibility of 6 months of Duavee® vs wait-list control in post-menopausal women symptomatic for hot flashes.

NCT ID: NCT04378426 Terminated - PTSD Clinical Trials

Nitrous Oxide for PTSD

N2OP
Start date: October 7, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) seriously disrupts the lives of many Veterans. Current first-line treatments, serotonin reuptake inhibitors or prolonged exposure therapy, take weeks to months to bring meaningful improvement, leaving Veterans experiencing prolonged suffering. A promising new treatment approach for rapidly reducing PTSD symptoms is nitrous oxide, an inhalation anesthetic and putative glutamate modulator that diminishes depression symptoms within 1 day and has limited side effects. If shown to be similarly effective in PTSD, nitrous oxide may add dramatically to the treatment armamentarium by bringing rapid symptom decrease before longer-term therapies take hold. The proposed projects test the efficacy of nitrous oxide in relieving Veteran's PTSD symptoms and, in parallel, explore how nitrous oxide may modify cognitive and pain outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT04378062 Terminated - Pain Clinical Trials

Pain After Proximal Digital Amputation Prevention

PAPDAP
Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Finger amputations are common and may be complicated by debilitating nerve pain. This study seeks to determine if nerve pain after digital amputation can be more effectively prevented with either of two new surgical techniques-targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) or regenerative peripheral nerve interfaces (RPNI)-compared to standard treatment by traction neurectomy (TN).

NCT ID: NCT04378010 Terminated - Clinical trials for Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis

A Randomized, Double-blind Study to Assess the Safety and Efficacy of EDP-305 in Subjects With Liver-biopsy Proven NASH

Start date: January 27, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A randomized, double-blind study to assess the safety and efficacy of EDP-305 in subjects with liver-biopsy proven Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)

NCT ID: NCT04377945 Terminated - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

Study in Parkinson's Disease Patients With Dyskinesia With Combinations of JM-010 and Its Individual Components

SHINE
Start date: April 28, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a two-part, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, multicenter Phase 2 clinical trial of JM-010 in patients with Parkinson's Disease.
