There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To detect comparatively the extent to which physical impairments are observed in patients with lung cancer awaiting lung surgery, comparing exercise capacity, pulmonary functions, muscle strength, physical activity, dyspnea, fatigue and quality of life between the patients with lung cancer and healthy individuals was aimed in current study.
In clinical practice, Bladder Training (BT) and Magnetic stimulation (MS) are frequently used together in the treatment of women with idiopathic overactive bladder (OAB). Up to our knowledge, there is no study evaluating the combined effect of magnetic stimulation and bladder training in women with idiopathic OAB in the literature. Moreover, there is no recommendation on conservative treatment combinations in the guidelines due to insufficient data. At this stage, studies are needed to determine whether it will be effective to use MS in combination with other conservative treatment options. In addition, in the light of our clinical experience, we think that this issue is still open for research. In our study, adding MS to BT in women with idiopathic OAB is thought to contribute additionally to the efficacy of treatment with BT. Our study is the first prospective randomized controlled trial that compares the efficacy of BT and BT plus MS in women with idiopathic OAB. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of MS added to BT on incontinence-related QoL and clinical parameters in women with idiopathic OAB.
Nowadays, due to the demands to improve life and health conditions of osteoarthritis patients, more effective surgical treatment methods are needed to obtain satisfactory results when performing total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Fast-track surgical protocols are evidence based multidisciplinary approaches targeted on multimodal patient care and primarily focused on enhancing rapid functional recovery of the patients. These protocols recommend use of minimal invasive approaches for TKA patients to enhance rapid recovery. Although studies in the literature has been reported similar results in medial para-patellar approach (MPP) and minimal invasive approaches in long terms, better surgical outcomes in short term in favor of minimal invasive approaches also encouraged fast-track protocol builders to prefer minimal invasive approaches. However, this recommendation is not evidence based and there is no study comparing surgical outcomes between minimal invasive approaches and MPP approach in terms of pain, length of hospital stays and functional recovery in fast-track TKA patients. Therefore, we aimed to compare the effects of mini mid-vastus (MMV) and MPP approaches on postoperative clinical results (pain, quality of life, functional outcome, and length of hospital stay) in fast-track TKA patients, and to decide whether any additional achievements are obtained with MMV approach in this patient group.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has brought about a requirement of intensive care and mechanical ventilation for a significant portion of patients. Percutaneous tracheostomy is performed in order to reduce the complications that may develop due to prolonged endotracheal intubation.
Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCABG) is a bypass method performed on the working heart. Pain is a frequently seen side effect experienced following this surgery. Erector spinae plane block is our analgesia method that the investigators routinely perform prior to the surgery to overcome this problem. In this method, analgesic medication is given via a needle in between the two superficial muscle groups (erector spinae muscles) located in participants back. The investigators believe this method not only provides pain relief, but also is beneficial (dilating) on the vessels that will be used for bypassing the clogged vessels during the surgery. The investigators aimed to measure some parameters in this routine procedure before and after performing the analgesic method with an ultrasound (imaging with sound waves).

General anesthesia and regional anesthesia can be chosen in cesarean operations. Endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation are components of general anesthesia. Endotracheal intubation has been shown to cause increased intracranial pressure. There is not enough information about the effect of spinal anesthesia on intracranial pressure during cesarean operations. Increased intracranial pressure can cause neurological complications by disrupting brain perfusion. For this reason, the investigators think that the safe anesthesia method should be determined especially in pregnant patients who are at risk of increased intracranial pressure.
Aim: The aim of the present study is to examine with B-type natriuretic peptide (pro-BNP) and echocardiographic parameters and to measure life quality the effects of the 12-week Tai-Chi exercise program on cardiovascular responses in patients with heart failure in Turkey. In addition, four basic research questions have been identified for the purpose of the research: Methods:Randomized controlled trial will be carried out in the cardiology outpatient clinic in Turkey. The research will include two groups, an intervention (n=23) and a control (n=23). Cardiovascular responses will be measured with Pro-BNP, transthoracic echocardiography and six minutes walking test; Quality of life measurements with Left Ventricular Dysfunction Scale (LVD-36).Tai-Chi exercises will be carried out for a total of 12 weeks, with 2 sessions each week and one hour each session for intervention group. In addition, initially, approximately 45 minutes of heart failure education will be given to both the intervention and control groups.
