There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Central sensitization is as increased response to normal or sub-threshold stimuli of central nervous system and its close relationship with in many musculoskeletal diseases with chronic pain has been demonstrated in several studies. However, the effect of central sensitization on disability in these patients is not fully known. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the frequency of central sensitization and its effect on patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain who were admitted to physical medicine and rehabilitation outpatient clinics.
This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of CoronaVac vaccine, which is more than 90% protective in healthy people, in cancer patients receiving active chemotherapy. In this study, to collect information to measure the amount of antibodies produced by the vaccine in the blood of volunteers with the CoronoVac vaccine and to compare it with healthy volunteers.
This study is a Non-Interventional Study (NIS) with secondary data usage. It is designed as a multi-center retrospective cohort study in which the data of adult locally advanced HER2-positive breast cancer patients, who are treated with as neoadjuvant therapy, who underwent breast surgery in participating centers, were taken from hospital records. The source population is academic or community oncology centers treating patients with breast cancer from Turkey. The study population is planned to be the subgroup of breast cancer patients, who are treated with trastuzumab plus taxane with or without pertuzumab as neoadjuvant therapy, and underwent breast surgery at the participating centers. The study is anticipated to include approximately 1500 patients from 20 sites.
This study was planned as a single blind randomized controlled type in order to examine the effect of yoga on sexual function in primipara pregnant women.150 pregnant women will be randomized. The data will be interviewed online with pregnant women and online yoga training will be held for the intervention group
Neuromuscular diseases caused by disruption of the normal conduction relationship between nerve system, neuromuscular junction, and muscles cause scoliosis as a secondary deformity. Neuromuscular scoliosis progresses due to muscle weakness and characteristic features of disease. The risk of complications associated with increased progression. Morbidity and mortality caused by scoliosis in neuromuscular diseases can be reduced by increasing the knowledge and awareness of the caregivers and physiotherapists. In this study, it was aimed to determine the risk of neuromuscular scoliosis and the factors which can cause in children with disabilities. It is also aimed to reveal inferences related to education levels, awareness of caregivers and professionals working in this field to determine cases with a high risk of scoliosis. Thus, it is expected to leading future research to develop preventive treatment approaches. For this purpose, 288 children who are diagnosed with the neuromuscular disease between 3-18 years of age, attending Rehabilitation Center in Istanbul and willing to participate in the research permitted by their caregiver will be included in this study. Cerebral Palsy Follow-Up Program (CPUP), Parents and Professionals Awareness Questionnaire related to Neuromuscular Scoliosis which is prepared by researchers, Early Onset Scoliosis 24 Questionnaire, Scoliosis Research Society 22 Questionnaire to assess QoL, demographic and clinical data also will collect for all sample. Patients will be examined for musculoskeletal system, scoliosis analysis will be performed radiologically. Data obtained to determine the problems, risk factors, and awareness of the caregivers and physiotherapists will be analyzed statistically.
To compare the two different approaches of infraclavicular brachial plexus block in forearm, wrist and hand surgery in terms of perfusion index, tissue oxygenation, sensory and motor block onset time and total effect time, first analgesic time, side effects and complications, and duration of block application.
This study aims to characterize the clinical management and outcomes of participants diagnosed with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are being treated with alectinib in real-world clinical practice.
In neurogenic or non-neurogenic bladder disorders, the removal process after the catheter is inserted into the bladder and the urine has been drained is called Clean intermittent catheterization (CIC). After 1972, Lapides started using CIC in the treatment of people who cannot empty their bladder on their own. The decision to apply CIC to patients is made by the doctor. After CIC application, patients's increase body image, self-confidence development and quality of life. CIC application to children is done by caregivers. CIC use has negative effects as well as positive effects for patients. If the caregiver has not received enough training about CIC application and does not pay attention to CIC performing hours and procedure steps, urinary tract infection can be seen in children. Common urinary tract infections in children cause permanent kidney damage. Studies conducted to prevent complications that may develop in patients using CIC emphasize the importance of patient education. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of based on the roy adaptation theory supported android phone application CIC training, on the knowledge / skills, coping / adaptation and anxiety level of caregivers and the development of urinary tract infection in children.
Non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) is a heterogeneous disease with a wide range of treatment options from the medical follow-up to early invasive treatment due to complete occlusion of the culprit artery. Non-ST elevation myocardial infarction acute coronary syndrome (NSTEMI-ACS) is one of the subcomponents of NSTE-ACS, which has an increased mortality rate, and for which early intervention can be vital. Yet, most of these patients require invasive treatment. In fact, some of them are patients who require very early invasive treatment and have a complete occlusion in the culprit artery. Unfortunately, risk scoring systems are not sufficient enough to differentiate these patients. Therefore, the discovery of markers that can be used in the differentiation of NSTEMI-ACS patients with an increased need for invasive treatment and/or complete occlusion of the culprit's vessels, especially during pandemic periods such as the COVID-19 pandemic, has gained importance. Inflammation is known to play an important role in the etiopathogenesis of coronary artery disease. To the best of our knowledge, there is a lack of literature on the relationship between the need for invasive treatment strategy and/or complete occlusion of the culprit's vessel, and the hematological markers in patients diagnosed with NSTEMI-ACS.
Background: The faces version of the Modified Child Dental Anxiety Scale (MCDASf) is less time consuming and an easy to understand tool for measuring dental anxiety. The aim of this study was to develop the Turkish version of MCDASf and to analyze its validity and reliability.
