There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The design of our study is a prospective. It is planned to be completed in twenty-four weeks with 34 participants. The main purpose of this study is to examine and compare the effects of two different bike exercises on knee joint and lower extremity muscles by ultrasonographic method.
This study was conducted as a pre-test and post-test randomized controlled single center study to evaluate the effect of ear plugs and eye mask application on sleep quality in patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit. 120 patients who received inpatient treatment in Siirt State Hospital general intensive care unit constitute the sample of the study. The sample consist of four groups: ear plug group (n=30), eye mask group (n=30), earplug-eye mask group (n=30) and control group (n=30). Data were collected using the "Patient Identification Form, Glasgow Coma Skale, Visual Analog Scale, Richards-Campbell Sleep Questionnaire (RCSQ), ear plug and eye mask". As a preliminary test, RCSQ was applied in the morning of the second day after the first night sleep of the patients. Then, according to the group they were assigned to, the patients were allowed to sleep by applying only ear plug, eye mask only and simultaneous ear plug-eye mask between 22:00-06:00. As a final test, RCSQ was readministered to patients on the morning of the third day after the second night's sleep. During the analysis of the data, frequency, number, mean, Student t test and/or Mann- Whitney U test, ANOVA and/or Kruskal- Wallis test, t test or Wilcoxon Sign test, chi-square test were used.
The positions of the air bubble and the tip of catheter will be measured by transabdominal utrasonography among patients who have undergone high-quality frozen blastocyst transfer. The aim of this study is to compare pregnancy rates according to air bubble's final location in endometrial cavity. It is expected that the ET technique will be improved and live birth rates will increase by determining the optimal position of the embryo in the endometrial cavity during ET in patients who have achieved pregnancy.
In literature review, many studies have been found to support the positive effects of various nonpharmacological methods in the alleviation of pain and fear created by invasive procedures. This study was carried out to determine the effects of kaleidoscope and cartoon watching using the virtual reality glasses on the pain and fear states of children during blood draw procedure.
High intensity laser therapy (HILT) has been considered as a treatment option for shoulder pain. In randomized controlled studies with high-intensity laser therapy (HILT), there are publications showing its effectiveness in conditions such as shoulder pathologies such as subacromial impigment syndrome and adhesive capsulitis. However, there are few studies in the literature that focus on the effectiveness of HILT, especially in hemiplegic shoulder pain. In this study, we intended to investigate the effectiveness of HILT on pain, disability, function and quality of life in patients with HSP accompanied by PTRCT.
Clinical pharmacists in the healthcare system are experts in therapeutics and the use of drugs. They routinely provide medication reviews and recommendations to patients and healthcare professionals. Clinical pharmacists are a scientifically valid source of information and give advice on the safe and appropriate use of medicines and pharmacoeconomics. Clinical pharmacist researchers produce, distribute and apply new information that contributes to improving health and quality of life. Thus, it is ensured that many of the drug treatment errors that occur after inappropriate therapeutic decisions are made at the point of prescribing are prevented In this investigation, the effects of clinical pharmacists on respiratory would be investigated. This research area will cover lower respiratory tract infections and chronic lung disease exacerbations with ICD-10 codes J05, J9-22, J40-47, J69, J85 -J86. In this study, two groups, control and intervention groups, were identified. In the control group; There will be no intervention done by the Clinical Pharmacist. Hospital stay, antimicrobial suitability, microbial resistance development, antimicrobial induced nephrotoxicity, infection-related mortality, pharmacoeconomic evaluation, re-hospitalization within 30 days after discharged, medication reconciliation report will be created, patients will be monitored for the detection and management of drug-related problems will be recorded in both control and intervention groups. In the intervention group; recommendations will be given to the physicians by the Clinical Pharmacist on the selection of antibiotics, drug suitability, dosage and route of administration advice, and determination of drug-related problems related to drugs used simultaneously.
The investigators aimed that the Comparison of effectiveness of the intra-articular steroid injection and radiofrequency thermocoagulation of the sensory branches of the femoral and obdurator nerves in coxarthrosis patients
The purpose of this study is to provide continued access to treatment for participants who continue to benefit from treatment.
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common nerve entrapment syndrome. It occurs as a result of compression of the median nerve as it passes through a restricted osteofibrous canal in the wrist. Known as the carpal tunnel, this canal contains the wrist bones, transverse carpal ligament, median nerve, and digital flexor tendons. Edema, tendon inflammation, hormonal changes, and manual activity can contribute to increased nerve compression and sometimes cause pain. In this research, the investigators aim to present the virtual reality-mediated exercise program to patients non-immersive. It is planned to use the Leap Motion motion sensor to detect hand and wrist movements and to monitor the gamified setup on the computer screen. In the system that will be presented via computer and hand motion sensor, the patient will be asked to perform therapeutic exercises for the diagnosis of CTS in a scenario developed through virtual reality. The investigators predict that patients will actively participate in virtual reality-mediated therapeutic exercise program with high motivation and their functional results will be better than classical exercise programs. In our research, the investigators aim to present the tendon and nerve gliding exercises with proven effectiveness in patients with CTS, with non-immersive virtual reality systems, and to compare their effectiveness with the classical exercise program.
Applications of non-operating room anesthesia for diagnosis and treatment are required in a variety of disciplines nowadays. Although it is not painful, sedation may be required in the gastrointestinal unit during procedures that put the patient through discomfort and stress, in order to reduce anxiety and provide analgesia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the sedation used in our hospital's gastrointestinal endoscopy unit in light of intraoperative hemodynamic variables and perioperative problems. There are studies about non-operating room anesthesia in the literature, but there aren't many of them in our country, and none of them include a number of participants. The size of this study will exceed any study in Turkey.
