Examining the Effect of Breastfeeding Education Given to Mothers Based on Postpartum Awareness Practices on Breast Milk and Cortisol Hormone at the Newborn Circadian Level

Start date: April 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In addition to being an easily accessible and ready-made food for babies in the first years of life, breast milk plays a major role in transmitting information about the time of day to newborn babies and therefore in the formation of the circadian rhythm, thanks to the hormones and various immune elements it contains. The main theme of mindfulness-based programs is mind and body meditation by focusing on the present moment, directing perception to inner experiences and observing these experiences.Regular practice of this type of meditation contributes greatly to increasing happiness and developing positive attitudes such as insight, compassion, awareness and stress management.Cortisol is the main stress hormone in the human body and is therefore a promising benchmark for investigating the effects of mindfulness programs. The purpose of mindfulness-based breastfeeding training to be given to mothers; It is to contribute to a healthy and safe postpartum period and breastfeeding experience for the mother and the newborn by minimizing the negative effects of the postpartum stress level in the mother and the cortisol hormone levels transferred from the mother's milk to the baby on the circadian rhythm. For this purpose, the sample size was planned to be a total of 54 people, 27 people per group, in the experimental design, with G power 3.1 analysis. The research will be conducted on healthy breastfeeding mothers who applied to Erzurum City Hospital and Kars Selim District State Hospital between 15.05.2023 and 15.06.2024.Subjects to be included in the study will be randomly selected among the pregnant women who applied to the clinic according to meeting the inclusion criteria. Breastfeeding: 'The Key to Sustainable Development'. For this reason, it is planned that the determination of the relationship between breast milk and circadian rhythm can be supported by cognitive methods, it will be important in terms of promoting breastfeeding and achieving development goals in a short time, and it is planned to contribute to the literature.

NCT ID: NCT06238505 Not yet recruiting - Pes Planus Clinical Trials

Acute Efficacy of Exercises Applied With Xbox and Biodex Devices in Pes Planus"

Start date: February 6, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

.Pes planus; It can be defined as the valgus of the hindfoot while loading the foot, the disappearance of the medial longitudinal arch in the midfoot, and the supination of the forefoot relative to the hindfoot. It may also occur due to the fact that the medial longitudinal arch in the foot is lower than the required height according to the anatomical position. The parts of the foot that touch the ground are anatomically healthy in a person; They are the heads of the calcaneus tuberositas calcanei on the back of the foot and the 5 metatarsal bones on the front of the foot. In the standing position, 25% of our body weight is on the tuber calcanei, while 25% is on the 5 metatarsal bones. In individuals with pes planus, convergence of the sole of the midfoot to the ground may even result in the sole of the midfoot touching the ground at its advanced levels. It is one of the common foot deformities.

TAPSE/PASP Anesthesia

TAPSE/PASP
Start date: February 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

TAPSE, one of the methods for evaluating right ventricular systolic function; It is a bar parameter that can easily measure apex-basal shortening and provides specific information about global RV function. TAPSE/PASP can be calculated as load-independent parameters to evaluate RV function. Because RV function is sensitive to change in afterload, known as the RV-pulmonary circulation (PC) connection. This study aims to identify patients who are candidates for hypotensive events due to general anesthesia in a hemodynamically stable population.

Feasibility of SOLAR Group Program Among MHPSS Workers After the Earthquake

Start date: February 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this intervention program is to provide the feasibility of a culturally adapted version of the SOLAR program among mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) workers who provide psychological or psychosocial support to the survivors of the earthquakes on February 6, 2023, in Türkiye. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Will the SOLAR Group Program reduce psychological distress at the post-test and follow-up compared to the pre-test? 2. Will the SOLAR Group Program reduce secondary traumatic stress at the post-test and follow-up compared to the pre-test? 3. Will the SOLAR Group Program reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms at the post-test and follow-up compared to pre-test? Participants will be asked to sign a consent form. Upon accepting it, they will fill out: - a demographic form, - the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10), - Assessment of Suicidal Thoughts for the screening. Before the SOLAR intervention program, participants will be asked to complete: - the Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale (STSS), - Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), - the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) if they approve participation in these surveys. After collecting their pre-test scores, they will receive the SOLAR intervention program. During the program, they will be asked to participate in each session, lasting 5 weeks. After the program, they will be asked to participate process evaluation interview.

NCT ID: NCT06224439 Not yet recruiting - Regional Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Comparison of Regional Anaesthesia Methods for Femoral Neck Fracture Surgery

Start date: January 25, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Femoral fracture surgery is frequently performed especially in geriatric population. Compared to general anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia is preferred to general anaesthesia in the geriatric patient population due to lower postoperative pulmonary complications, reduced frequency of delirium and analgesic requirement, intraoperative haemodynamic stability, early postoperative mobilisation and early discharge. Central and peripheral regional anaesthesia methods have advantages and disadvantages. This situation causes difficulties in the choice of anaesthesia method. Central regional anaesthesia techniques have more haemodynamic effects and higher frequency of complications compared to peripheral methods. The disadvantages of peripheral methods are that they require ultrasound, block needle, nerve stimulator and require knowledgeable and skilled practitioners. Since there is no study showing the comparison of peripheral nerve blocks and hypobaric spinal anaesthesia with objective nociception values and there are difficulties in the choice of anaesthesia method in this regard, a study was deemed necessary.

NCT ID: NCT06221384 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for We Aim to Compare Modified Tricuspid Annular Plane Systolic Excursion With Tricuspid Annular Plane Systolic Excursion

Transesophageal Echocardiography Transthoracic Echocardiography TAPSE

TAPSE
Start date: February 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Modified TAPSE (m-TAPSE) is a new method in which TAPSE is measured by taking the difference between the apical and lateral tricuspid annulus distance during diastole and systole. It can be measured using transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in the mid-esophageal four-chamber (ME 4CH) view and is an alternative easily measurable parameter for intraoperative assessment of RV systolic function as long as optimal imaging quality is achieved. In this prospective observational study, between 01.02.2024 and 01.01.2025, patients between the ages of 1-18 will undergo transcatheterization procedures using TTE and TEE under anesthesia by a pediatric cardiologist. TAPSE of these patients will be measured by TTE and TEE. TAPSE of the patients will be evaluated with TTE and TOE.
