Ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury during liver transplantation is one of the major causes of mortality and morbidity associated with transplantation. Remote organ ischemic preconditioning (RIPC) is one of the most investigated practices to reduce IR injury. In this study, for the first time in the clinic, the effect of RIPC will be evaluated via both systemic inflammation parameters and also parameters showing glycocalyx integrity, on living-donor liver recipients.

Caudal Epidural Block and DPNB in Hypospadias

Hypospadias, seen in every 200-300 births, is one of the most common congenital anomalies of the penis and is defined as the urethral meatus being located in the ventral part of the penis instead of its normal place. The surgery of this anomaly is very painful in the postoperative period and requires long-term analgesia. Regional anesthesia methods combined with general anesthesia play an important role in providing effective and long-term postoperative pain control in pediatric penile surgery. These methods also reduce postoperative morbidity, enable early mobilization and significantly decrease the need for narcotic analgesics. The investigator's hypothesis is peripheral nerve blocks are superior to neuraxial blocks as the blocks provide longer-term analgesia and have fewer side effects.

Effect of PSSE on Spine Reposition Sensation in Scoliosis

The main aim of the investigator's study is to investigate the effect of Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis-Specific Exercises (PSSE) on spine joint reposition sense and also to investigate the effect of PSSE on vertebral rotation, pain, posture, body image and quality of life in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS). Twenty-six patients with AIS will randomly allocated to two groups. 'Schroth' exercises will apply to the PSSE group for 8 weeks (16 sessions). The control group wiil teach basic elements. Patients' spinal pain (Visual Analogue Scale), posture parameters (PostureScreen Mobile, Posterior Trunk Asymmetry Index (POTSI) and Anterior Trunk Asymmetry Index (ATSI)), cosmetic perception (Walter Reed Visual Evaluation Scale (WRVAS)), joint reposition sensations (dual-inclinometer), quality of life (Pediatric Quality of Life Scale and SRS-22) will assess at the first session and at the end of 8 weeks.

Inspiratory Muscle Training Versus Calf Muscle on Venous Function

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of exercise training in addition to compression therapy on quality of life, venous return time, muscle strength, clinical severity, functional capacity in venous insufficiency compared to compression treatment alone. Fourty-two volunteer patients with venous insufficiency will include in the study were randomly divided into three groups as inspiratory exercise, calf muscle exercise and control. While the control group will receive only compression therapy, the inspiratory exercise group will apply inspiratory muscle training consisted of strengthening exercise in addition to compression therapy; kalf muscle exercise group will apply strengthening exercise for calf muscle in addition to compression therapy for 2 days/week with physiotherapist and 3 days/week by themselves, 8 weeks. All the patients will assess with Chronic Venous Disease Quality of life Questionnaire-20 (CIVIQ-20), Nottingham Health Profile, Photopletismograph, Venous Clinical Severity Score (VCSS), hand-held dynamometer, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), circumference measurements, 6-minute walk test (6MWT), before and after the treatment.
