There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary objective with this study is to investigate the short-term efficacy (primary endpoint at week 3) of Internet-delivered cognitive behavior therapy (ICBT) provided soon after trauma. The secondary objective is to investigate the long-term efficacy (primary endpoint at week 7) of ICBT. 100 participants recently exposed to a potentially traumatic event will be randomised to either ICBT or assessment only.
The study investigates whether patients treated for neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD), with intravitreal injection with bevacizumab (Avastin) after two years need more injections with retained therapy response compared to patients being treated with intravitreal injection with aflibercept (Eylea). The study also aims to evaluate if there is a difference in best-corrected visual acuity, macular thickness, recurrence interval, durability, cost efficiency, as well as vision-related quality of life.
Evaluation of the effects of the parental support intervention "For our children's sake" on positive parenting outcomes when conducted with incarcerated parents in prisons in Sweden.
Can tumor cells and tumor DNA be sampled from blood samples from prostate cancer patients? Is it possible to understand the causal relationship between the occurrence of the tumor cells and the tumor DNA in the blood by reviewing the patient's medical records, including information about investigations, analytical reports or diagnoses? Can gene defects that may be useful in predicting the best treatment be detected by sequencing individual tumor cells or plasma from blood samples?
Randomized, multi-center, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study. Eligible subjects will be randomized to receive either 0.33 mg AD04 or placebo orally twice-daily for 24 weeks in conjunction with brief psychological counseling. Randomization will be stratified by: 1. Level of alcohol consumption prior to enrollment in the study (heavy drinkers averaging <10 drinks per day of drinking or very heavy drinkers averaging ≥10 drinks per day of drinking), and 2. Gender (male or female).
Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a common disease. The genetic background to FH is not yet fully understood. In the present prospective cohort study we aim to study the association between different clinical characteristics, gene mutations and prognosis.
The SyncAV Post-Market Trial is a prospective, randomized, multi-center trial performed to determine if cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices programmed with SyncAV ON improve long-term CRT response compared to devices programmed with conventional CRT through evaluation of changes in left ventricular (LV) reverse remodeling.
This study will assess the safety and effectiveness of fimaporfin-induced photochemical internalisation (PCI) of gemcitabine complemented by systemic gemcitabine/cisplatin chemotherapy compared to gemcitabine/cisplatin alone, in patients with inoperable cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the treatment groups and will receive study treatment for 6 months, followed by assessments every 3 months, as applicable.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of nivolumab adjuvant immunotherapy compared to placebo in adults and pediatric participants after complete resection of Stage IIB/C melanoma with no evidence of disease (NED) who are at high risk for recurrence.
This study will evaluate respiratory function in people with fibromyalgia and whether or not breathing patterns in this patient group can be explained by stress, emotional or biomechanical variables. In addition, examine the relationship between physical ability and lactate values.
