There are about 1254 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Peru. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a long-term continuation study to provide continuing treatment to subjects with SLE.
This study will evaluate the effectiveness of a community-level HIV prevention program in promoting safer sexual behaviors and reducing the transmission of HIV/sexually transmitted diseases among at-risk populations in China, India, Peru, Russia, and Zimbabwe.
The primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of once daily (QD) subcutaneous (SC) injections of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) versus placebo for 3 additional weeks following an initial 7 to 10-day venous thromboprophylaxis with open-label AVE5026 in patients having undergone hip fracture surgery. The secondary objective is to evaluate the safety of extended AVE5026 administration.
To compare the antihypertensive efficacy of the combination irbesartan/hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) using either a usual or an active elective titration regimen. The main efficacy criteria will be the change in mean Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), measured at doctor's office with an automatic device, after a 10-week treatment period in hypertensive patients insufficiently controlled by monotherapy.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of alogliptin, once daily (QD), compared to glipizide in elderly diabetic patients who have not received treatment or are on a single oral medication.
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the progression-free survival (PFS) with XL184 as compared with placebo (an inactive substance) in subjects with unresectable, locally advanced, or metastatic medullary thyroid cancer (MTC). Subjects will be randomized to receive XL184 or placebo in a 2:1 ratio. XL184 is an investigational drug that inhibits VEGFR2, MET and RET, kinases implicated in tumor formation, growth and migration. The Clinical Steering Committee for this study, comprised of study doctors who specialize in medullary thyroid cancer, has provided guidance regarding the design of the study. The committee includes: Douglas Ball, MD, Barry Nelkin, PhD, Martin Schlumberger, MD and Steven Sherman, MD.
The objective of this study is to compare the progression-free survival (PFS) of the drug combination ramucirumab plus docetaxel to placebo plus docetaxel in previously untreated participants with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative, unresectable, locally-recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.
To evaluate the effectiveness of study drug in improving visual acuity compared to laser treatment in the patients with diabetic macular edema
This study will evaluate the relative efficacy and safety of prasugrel and clopidogrel in a medically managed Unstable Angina/Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (UA/NSTEMI) acute coronary syndrome (ACS) population (that is, patients who are not managed with acute coronary revascularization).
The primary objective was to compare the efficacy of once daily [q.d.] subcutaneous [s.c.] injections of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) with q.d. s.c. injections of enoxaparin for the prevention of Venous Thromboembolic Events [VTE] in patients undergoing elective total hip replacement surgery. The secondary objectives were to evaluate the safety of AVE5026 in patients undergoing elective total hip replacement surgery, and to document AVE5026 exposure in this population.
