NCT ID: NCT04822181 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis

Research Study on Whether Semaglutide Works in People With Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)

ESSENCE
Start date: April 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Semaglutide is a medicine studied in patients with NASH. Semaglutide is a well-known medicine, which is already used by doctors to treat type 2 diabetes in many countries. Participants will either get semaglutide or a dummy medicine - which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Participants will need to inject themselves with medicine under the skin. Participants will need to do this once a week. The study will last for about 5 years. Participants will have up to 21 clinic visits and 9 phone calls with the clinical staff during the study. Some of the clinic visits may be spread over more than one day. Participants with other chronic liver diseases cannot take part in this study. Women cannot take part in the study if they are pregnant, breast-feeding or plan to become pregnant during the study period.

NCT ID: NCT04821622 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Talazoparib With Enzalutamide in Men With DDR Gene Mutated mCSPC

Start date: May 12, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of talazoparib in combination with enzalutamide compared with placebo in combination with enzalutamide in participants with DDR-deficient mCSPC.

NCT ID: NCT04821284 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer AJCC v8

Sonoporation and Chemotherapy for the Treatment of Pancreatic Cancer

Start date: December 6, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/II trial studies the effect of sonoporation in addition to standard of care chemotherapy in treating patients with pancreatic cancer. Sonoporation is a novel method that uses ultrasound and microbubbles to increase therapeutic effect by increasing uptake or enhance sensitization. Sonoporation together with chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with pancreatic cancer compared to chemotherapy alone.

NCT ID: NCT04819503 Terminated - Neuropathic Pain Clinical Trials

Mechanisms and Treatment of Post-amputation Neuropathic Pain

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Phantom and residual limb pain are types of peripheral neuropathic pain that are difficult to treat and where the underlying mechanisms are still not fully understood. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) of the motor cortex is an increasingly studied technique for the treatment of neuropathic pain and has shown modest effects in pain intensity reduction for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Newer rTMS coils provide the opportunity to stimulate larger brain areas, which could provide a better treatment option compared to conventional coils. The aims of this study are to investigate whether the peripheral nervous system is a necessary driver of phantom limb pain and/or residual limb pain in patients with lower limb amputation using spinal anaesthesia, and to assess the analgesic efficacy of deep H-coil rTMS compared to sham stimulation in the same patients.

NCT ID: NCT04819100 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Non-Small-Cell Lung

A Study of Selpercatinib After Surgery or Radiation in Participants With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

LIBRETTO-432
Start date: December 20, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The reason for this study is to see if the study drug, selpercatinib, compared to placebo is effective and safe in delaying cancer return in participants with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), who have already had surgery or radiation. Participants who are assigned to placebo and stop the study drug because their disease comes back or gets worse have the option to potentially crossover to selpercatinib. Participation could last up to three years.

NCT ID: NCT04818502 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Mitral Valve Regurgitation

Real World Study of the Tendyne™ Mitral Valve System to Treat Mitral Regurgitation

RESOLVE-MR
Start date: May 4, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To evaluate the safety and performance of the Tendyne™ Mitral Valve System when used as intended in a contemporary, real-world setting.

NCT ID: NCT04817956 Recruiting - Cancer Metastatic Clinical Trials

Improving Public Cancer Care by Implementing Precision Medicine in Norway

IMPRESS-N
Start date: April 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

IMPRESS-Norway is a prospective, non-randomized clinical trial evaluating efficacy of commercially available, anti-cancer drugs prescribed for patients with advanced cancer diagnosed with potentially actionable alterations as revealed by molecular diagnostics. IMPRESS-Norway is a nation-wide study and all hospitals with an oncology and / or hematology department will be invited to participate in the study. The study will use a combined umbrella and basket design and a Simon two-stage model of expanding cohorts to follow up potentially effective combinations of biomarker and drug on specific indications. Sampling of biological material will be performed at presentation, during treatment and upon progression. Additional biomarker and translational analyses including whole genome sequencing (WGS) on tumour material and liquid biopsies, identifying mechanisms underlying drug sensitivity versus resistance will be performed.

NCT ID: NCT04815044 Enrolling by invitation - Pregnancy Related Clinical Trials

Experiences From Pregnancy and Post-partum Period in Women With a History of Eating Disorders.

PREG_PED-t
Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Women with the eating disorder bulimia nervosa (BN) have been found to have a higher risk of unplanned pregnancies than healthy women, and experience greater miscarriage, premature birth, birth complications, and postpartum depression. Other studies have found that women with eating disorders seem to find motivation to refrain from the eating disordered behavior for the sake of the fetus, but that it is highly different whether this gives sustained or only a temporary remission. Eating disorders are rarely detected in the primary health care service, nor during pregnancy or during follow-up in fertility clinics. Meeting a health care provider in the pregnancy care service who does not know about the eating disorder or who does not understand the disease well enough, can also make the management and experience of pregnancy and weight gain extra difficult. The aim of this study is to increase the knowledge on how women with a history of eating disorder experience their bodily changes, and how they experience the health service in pregnancy care and post-partum period.

Teriflunomide vs. Placebo During Gluten Challenge in Celiac Disease

Start date: April 16, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The investigators will see if the drug teriflunomide (which is in use in other immune disorder (multiple sclerosis)) can inhibit the immune activation in celiac disease patients during a 3 day gluten challenge. This will be measured in a blood sample.
