NCT ID: NCT01550042 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Extended Rhythm SCreening for AtRial Fibrillation in Cryptogenic Stroke Patients

SCARF
Start date: September 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Recent studies demonstrated that prolonged rhythm observation increases the detection of atrial fibrillation in patients prior diagnosed as cryptogenic stroke. Detection of atrial fibrillation in these patients has important therapeutic implications for the anticoagulation regimen. However, data on optimal monitoring duration and method of AF detection are limited.

NCT ID: NCT01549535 Completed - Colon Cancer Clinical Trials

Polyp Detection With The Peerscope Systemâ„¢

Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The PeerScope System consists of Peer Medical camera heads, endoscopes, video system, light source and other ancillary equipment. The system is intended for endoscopic diagnosis, treatment and video observation of the digestive tract. The PeerScope system model B is indicated for use for endoscopy and endoscopic treatment within the lower digestive tract (including the anus, rectum, sigmoid colon, colon and ileocecal valve) of adults patients. Objective:To compare the additional diagnostic yield obtained by using the PeerScope Systemâ„¢ extended view vs. the diagnostic yield obtained by the Standard view colonoscopy. In addition, time measurements including time to cecum, time for withdrawal and overall procedure time will be analyzed and reported for each group.

NCT ID: NCT01549483 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

Small Airways Disease in Asymptomatic and Symptomatic Subjects With Airway Hyperresponsiveness (AHR)

ABHR
Start date: May 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to study differences in small airways (<2mm) parameters in asthma patients, subjects with asymptomatic airway hyperresponsiveness and healthy controls.

NCT ID: NCT01549106 Completed - Healthy Volunteers Clinical Trials

IPI-145 Single Ascending, Multiple Ascending, Food Effect and Drug-Drug-Interaction Study

Start date: August 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of IPI-145 after single and repeat oral administration, and to evaluate the effects of food and ketoconazole on the plasma pharmacokinetics of IPI-145.

NCT ID: NCT01548703 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

A Multiple Ascending Dose Study of BCI-838 in Healthy Volunteers

Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of BCI-838 and its metabolite BCI-632 in healthy male and female subjects.

NCT ID: NCT01547039 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Platelet Reactivity and MES During CEA

Start date: June 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to analyze the association between aspirin efficacy and general platelet reactivity in relation to microembolic signals (MES) during carotid endarterectomy (CEA).

NCT ID: NCT01546922 Completed - Clinical trials for Adrenal Insufficiency

Hydrocortisone Replacement in Patients With Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency (SUPREME CORT)

SUPREME CORT
Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to investigate whether a physiologically low hydrocortisone (HC) dose is better for cognition as compared to a physiologically high HC dose. In addition, quality of life, metabolic profile and somatosensation will be described in relation to HC dose.

NCT ID: NCT01546688 Terminated - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability and Explore the Efficacy of Zonisamide as add-on Therapy in Elderly Patients With Refractory Partial Seizures

Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

A two arm, randomized, double-blind study comparing zonisamide with placebo. The zonisamide arm will consist of 100 subjects and the placebo arm of 50 subjects. Study medication will be administered as an add-on treatment to the subject's current 1 or 2 anti-epileptic (AEDs).

NCT ID: NCT01546532 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Heart Failure (CHF)

Renal Hemodynamic Effects of RLX030A in Subjects With Chronic Heart Failure (CHF)

Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will assess the renal hemodynamic effect of RLX030 infusion in subjects with chronic heart failure. In addition safety and effects on renal function and biomarkers will be assessed.
