There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Observational and perspective study with acute and chronic endpoint.
This is a first-in-human, open-label, multicenter, dose-escalation, safety, PK, and biomarker study of PBI-200 in subjects with NTRK-fusion-positive advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
All consecutive patients from January 2009 to december 2019 who underwent minimally invasive partial gastrectomy for gastric cancer at thirteen high volume institutions will be retrospective analysed to assess the better way to fashion a handsewn intracorporeal enterotomy closure after a stapled anastomosis.
The aim of the study is to compare the 6 months clinical outcome of the treatment with a single injection of Homologous PRP versus single injection of placebo (saline solution) in the infiltrative treatment of knee osteoarthritis in over 65 years old patients. The evaluation will be performed through clinical, subjective and objective assessments.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety of long-term therapy of bimekizumab in study participants with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)
The temperature on selected points of the hands has been monitored during meditative practices. The practitioner is in complete rest for the time of the measure, and only mental activity is carried out. The purpose is to verify if the heat sensation, that is normally felt, is a real, measurable physiological effect, or if it is just a subjective feeling. Quantitative data analysis is foreseen.
Currently, in the treatment of bladder cancer the use of robotics has entered in clinical practice, therefor robotic radical cystectomy with or without reconstruction is offered to patients during counseling procedures, if deemed appropriate and possible. The aim of the study is therefore the long-term evaluation of the peri-post-operative, oncological and functional results of patients undergoing radical cystectomy, both with an open and robotic approach. This study will thus help to clarify the actual impact of robotic surgery
This randomized, double blinded, clinical trial compares two different parameters setting of micropulsed laser trabeculoplasty for open angle glaucoma. Group one is treated with 1500 mW of Power, Group two with 1000 mW. The other settings (300 micron of diameter, 300 ms of duration, 15% duty cycle) are the same for both groups, and the laser is applied for 360°. The main outcome is to evaluate the IOP (IntraOcular Pressure) lowering effects of both treatments and the safety on the corneal endothelium.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of GSK3640254 + DTG relative to lamivudine (3TC) + DTG in treatment-naïve adult participants living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1. The participants were randomized to one of the three doses of blinded GSK3640254 (100, 150, or 200 milligrams [mgs]) or a reference arm of blinded 3TC-each in combination with open label DTG.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of non-surgical periodontal therapy with supportive home oral care for the treatment of peri-implant mucositis. Patients with bilateral implants with peri-implant mucositis will undergo professional dental hygiene with ultrasonic handpiece and manual scaler, followed by the application of glycine Airflow powders. Then, patients will be randomly divided into two groups: the Trial Group will undergo a split-mouth application of chlorhexidine gel 1% for quadrants 1 and 4 and of Biorepair Periogel 0.12% for quadrants 2 and 3, with one daily home application for the following 15 days after the visits and the use of Biorepair Parodontogel toothpaste; the control Group will not use any gels. The improvement of peri-implant mucositis will be evaluated between the two groups and differences between the two gels will be assessed, if present.
