NCT ID: NCT06105125 Recruiting - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

Autologous Micrografts From the Palatal Mucosa for Periodontal Regeneration

Start date: November 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Some research studies have demonstrated that autologous micrografts made out of different oral tissues may enhance tissue regeneration. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of a combined approach using an autologous micrograft derived from the palatal mucosa with an alloplastic scaffold for periodontal regeneration of intrabony defects in terms of clinical attachment level gain (primary outcome) and other secondary outcomes (probing pocket depth reduction, radiographic bone fill) compared to a scaffold alone. Moreover, this study aims to compare early wound healing and patient-reported outcome measures between the two groups.

NCT ID: NCT06105112 Recruiting - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

Periodontal Regeneration With Hyaluronic Acid or Enamel Matrix Derivatives

Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To date, the quest for ideal biological inductors for periodontal regeneration is still ongoing, especially when facing non-containing defect anatomies. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical and radiographic performance of a bone graft combined with either enamel matrix derivatives or hyaluronic acid for periodontal regeneration of non-containing intrabony defects in terms of clinical attachment gain (primary outcome) and other secondary outcomes (probing pocket depth reduction, radiographic bone fill). Moreover, this study aims to compare early wound healing and patient-reported outcome measures.

NCT ID: NCT06104163 Completed - Partial Edentulism Clinical Trials

Impact of Cantilever Design on Clinical, Radiographic, and Volumetric Parameters: a Retrospective Study

Start date: January 1, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The present retrospective study aims to evaluate the impact of cantilever design in the posterior areas of the mandible on clinical, radiographic, and volumetric parameters with an 8-year follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT06103864 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Phase III Study of Dato-DXd With or Without Durvalumab Compared With Investigator's Choice of Chemotherapy in Combination With Pembrolizumab in Patients With PD-L1 Positive Locally Recurrent Inoperable or Metastatic Triple-negative Breast Cancer

Start date: November 23, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase III, randomised, open-label, 3-arm, multicentre, international study assessing the efficacy and safety of Dato-DXd with or without durvalumab compared with investigator's choice chemotherapy in combination with pembrolizumab in participants with PD-L1 positive locally recurrent inoperable or metastatic TNBC.

NCT ID: NCT06103604 Recruiting - Fever Clinical Trials

Tympanic Thermometers Accuracy

Start date: December 28, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of the present study is to evaluate the measurement precision and accuracy of the third-generation tympanic thermometer in relation to the measurement modalities considered gold standard. The evaluation of the instrument will be conducted in relation to the different calibration times of the tympanic thermometer, the level of re-training of healthcare personnel in the use of the instrument and the adult and paediatric population subjected to the measurement. Finally, the diagnostic capacity of the instrument in correctly identifying states of hypothermia and febrile elevations will be assessed.

NCT ID: NCT06103357 Recruiting - Coronary Syndrome Clinical Trials

Identification of Biomarkers in Subjects With Coronary Syndrome (PLAQUE Study)

PLAQUE
Start date: March 6, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study will to test the levels of innovative biomarkers, such as miRNAs, in the blood of subjects underwent to angioplasty procedure according to standard clinical practice.

NCT ID: NCT06103175 Active, not recruiting - Liver Steatoses Clinical Trials

Observational and Prospective Study of Hepatic Steatosis and Related Risk Factors Using Ultrasound and Artificial Intelligence

ST-AI
Start date: January 15, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Fatty liver is the most frequent chronic liver disease worldwide and ultrasonography is widely employed for diagnosis. The accuracy of this technique, however, is strongly operator-dependent. Few information is available, so far, on the possible use of algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ameliorate the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography in diagnosing fatty liver. This study showed that the use of AI is able to improve the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of fatty liver

NCT ID: NCT06102590 Recruiting - Blood Transfusion Clinical Trials

Oxygen Extraction-guided Transfusion

OXYTRIP
Start date: November 4, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In critically ill patients, optimized strategies for red blood cells transfusion (RBCT) are still controversial. Most recent guidelines suggest that clinical practice in ICU setting should follow a restrictive approach to RBCT (i.e., hemoglonim level < 7.0 g/dL).In our previous study, oxygen extraction ratio (O2ER) has shown good performance as a marker to identify the correct timing for RBCT, potentially affecting 90-day mortality in non-bleeding, critically ill patients [11]. Moreover, our data suggested that an individualized strategy for RBCT may reduce the incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI), which is possibly related to a better delivery of oxygen and organ perfusion.

NCT ID: NCT06102356 Recruiting - Psoriasis Clinical Trials

Impact of Clinical and Psychological Factors on Treatment Satisfaction in Psoriatic Patients in Biological Therapy

PsoSAT
Start date: September 13, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aims to identify, through the use of questionnaires, demographic, clinical and psychological factors that could better correlate with the satisfaction of psoriatic patients in systemic therapy with biological drugs for more than a year belonging to the Dermatology Clinics of the A. Gemelli-IRCCS University Hospital

NCT ID: NCT06101758 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Ultrasound Assessment of Sarcopenia in Patients With Chronic Liver Disease: the SARCOLIVER Study

SARCOLIVER
Start date: October 20, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Sarcopenia is a complex multifactorial syndrome which could be present in older age (primary sarcopenia) or earlier in chronic disease (secondary sarcopenia). Even if in patients with chronic liver disease an association among sarcopenia and poor clinical outcomes is well known, the data available about the prevalence of sarcopenia in patients with liver cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma are very variable according to the populations in object and, furthermore, few data are available regarding the use of muscular ultrasound to detect this condition. The aim of this study is to define the prevalence of sarcopenia in patients with liver cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma in follow-up at our center and the clinical outcomes associated with this condition, and to determine the reliability of muscular ultrasound to diagnose the condition of sarcopenia through a comparison with other validated techniques such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry.
