There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This open-label, multicenter trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of treatment with AMN107 in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) patients that are resistant and/or intolerant to imatinib mesylate therapy.
Nitrous oxide analgesia is used routinely for the dental treatment of anxious or uncooperative pediatric patients. In many instances it is used alone without any supplemental oral premedication. A controversy exists among pediatric dentists and pediatric dental departments regarding the need to apply pre-procedural fasting (PF) or other limitations on children undergoing dental treatment with nitrous oxide alone. The purpose of this study is to investigate the association between PF and the frequency of vomiting in pediatric patients receiving dental treatment with nitrous oxide analgesia.
Fasting is a known trigger for headache. People who fast to comply with religious edict have been shown to be prone to headache which becomes more likely to occur with increasing length of fasting, and in people prone to headache. This has been documented as 'Yom Kippur Headache' and 'First of Ramadan Headache.' We performed a study to test the hypothesis that Rofecoxib, a pain medicine and anti-inflammatory, with a prolonged duration of action would prevent or attenuate headache when taken just prior to the complete (no food or drink) 25 hour fast of Yom Kippur.
The purpose of the study is to determine the efficacy of lapaquistat acetate, once daily (QD), to lower cholesterol in subjects with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia undergoing lipid-lowering treatment.
The primary objective is to show whether rimonabant reduces the risk of a heart attack (MI), stroke, or death from an MI or stroke in patients with abdominal obesity with other cardiovascular (CV) risk factors. The secondary objective is to show whether rimonabant reduces the risk of MI, stroke, CV death, or CV hospitalization in these patients.
The primary objective of this trial is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of dabigatran etexilate in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism.
Patients receiving BNP or nitroglycerin (IV) during the angioplasty procedure. 24 h after the procedure, vascular reactivity will be re-examined using the brachial artery flow-mediated dilatation study. Blood assays for ET-1, pro-BNP, and various inflammatory markers will be checked before and 24 h after the procedure. It is our hypothesis that endothelial function will be better in the BNP treated patients compared to the NTG treated patients
The reason for having a higher incidence of preeclampsia in primiparas may involve angiogenesis imbalance in these patients.
This is a study evaluating the long-term safety of infliximab (Remicade)
We hypothesize that inhaled Furosemide will be an effective treatment in infants with acute bronchiolitis.
