There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will look at the treatment effect of DiaPep277 on preservation of beta-cell function, as defined by meal-stimulated secretion of insulin. DiaPep277 is a peptide that changes the way the immune system behaves, stopping its attack on the beta-cells. Adults (>20 years) with newly diagnosed (<6 months) type 1 diabetes will be treated with 10 injections of DiaPep277 or Placebo over a 2-year treatment and follow-up period.
The purpose of the extension study was to provide patients completing the 28-week core study (NCT01095250) with an opportunity to receive an additional 22 weeks of continuous treatment.
The study hypothesis is that continuous ND0611 increases the bioavailability of levodopa and therefore the levodopa area-under-the-concentration-curve values, half-life, and trough concentrations The study will help determining the safety and tolerability of ND0611 and determine the pharmacokinetic profile of levodopa following multiple oral dosing of levodopa/carbidopa (LD/CD) and continuous delivery of ND0611
The purpose of this study is to determine whether disease management program is effective in preventing acute exacerbations in patients with unstable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a difference between cortisol levels in fetal blood of babies who were born while using a unipolar needle opposite to using a bipolar needle, and compared to the control group (infants who were born in a vaginal birth).
The objective of this study is to evaluate the clinical tolerability of the NUVANCE⢠Facial Rejuvenation System for correcting neck, mid-face and/or jowl ptosis.
This is a single-center, prospective, randomized, comparative, double-blind controlled clinical study mend to assess the effect of enteral feeding with Oxepa (a fish oil-based nutrition), compared to an isocaloric control, on oxygenation and clinical outcomes in mechanically ventilated trauma patients. The study population will be adults admitted to the ICU due to multiple-trauma or head trauma as a result of a gun shut, motor vehicle accidents, fall, workplace accident etc.
Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Nurofen and Advil, is a commonly used drug in children. There is very limited data about Ibuprofen concentrations in the cerebro spinal fluid (CSF). The objective of the current study is to describe concentrations of ibuprofen in the CSF of infants and children after administration of ibuprofen. We will study infants presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) with fever who received ibuprofen. A complete sepsis workup including sampling of blood and CSF is conducted in cases of suspected meningitis. We will measure ibuprofen in the blood and CSF obtained during the sepsis workup. A better understanding of the pharmacokinetics of ibuprofen and its penetration into the CSF will unable us to suggest more accurate dosing guidelines, and to better predict the effects of this commonly used drug.
This randomized, double-blind, active-controlled study evaluates the efficacy and safety of a weekly dose of albiglutide as compared with sitagliptin. Subjects who are renally impaired with a historical diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus and whose glycemia is inadequately controlled on their current regimen of diet and exercise or their antidiabetic therapy of metformin, thiazolidinedione, sulfonylurea, or any combination of these oral antidiabetic medications will be recruited into the study.
We propose a study which will combine multiple modalities in evaluating the treatment response of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) to acetyl-choline esterase (AChE) inhibitors and choline supplements. The primary objective of the study is to examine the efficacy of this treatment in improving core autistic symptoms. The Secondary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the treatment protocol in ASD children. Exploratory objectives include evaluation of the influence of the treatment on linguistic performance, comorbid behaviors, adaptive functioning and executive functions.
