There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of oral eleclazine on mean daytime QTcF interval after 24 weeks of treatment with elecalzine in participants with long QT syndrome Type 3. During the single-blind treatment period (24 weeks), participants will receive eleclazine and/or eleclazine placebo. Following the single-blind treatment period, participants who have not permanently discontinued study drug will be eligible, at the discretion of the investigator, to continue receiving eleclazine during an open-label extension (OLE) phase.
Diarrhoea is the most commonly reported adverse event (AE) associated with Lapatinib treatment, and is also commonly associated with Capecitabine treatment. Although these events are generally mild to moderate in severity, diarrhoea adversely affects the tolerability of cancer treatment, and in severe cases diarrhoea has the potential to affect the efficacy of treatment due to poor compliance, or treatment interruption or withdrawal. The efficacy of Octreotide in the management of cancer treatment-associated diarrhoea has not been extensively evaluated in large, well-controlled studies. This is a randomised, multi-centre, open-label Phase II study in subjects with Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive metastatic breast cancer which has progressed following prior therapy, which must have included anthracyclines and taxanes and therapy with Trastuzumab in the metastatic setting. This study is not placebo controlled, and there is no active comparator. The study evaluates whether the prophylactic use of Octreotide Long Acting Release (LAR) offers a clinically meaningful benefit by reducing the frequency and severity of diarrhoea associated with treatment with Lapatinib and Capecitabine. Study completion for a subject is defined as the completion of 24 weeks of treatment with Lapatinib and Capecitabine, or progression of cancer or the death of the subject during treatment, whichever occurs first. Approximately 140 subjects were planned to be randomized out of which 70 were planned to receive octreotide and 70 were planned to receive no Octreotide.
The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate the superiority of retosiban to prolong pregnancy in females with spontaneous preterm labor compared with atosiban. This objective is based on the hypothesis that prolonging the time to delivery in the absence of harm may benefit the newborn, particularly in women who experience spontaneous preterm labor at early gestational ages (GA). This study is designed to test this hypothesis through a direct comparison with atosiban, a mixed oxytocin vasopressin antagonist indicated for short-term use to delay imminent preterm birth in women between 24^0/7 and 33^6/7 weeks' gestation in preterm labor. This is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy study, which consists of 6 phases: Screening, Inpatient Randomized Treatment, Post Infusion Assessment, Delivery, Maternal Post Delivery Assessment, and Neonatal Medical Review. Approximately 330 females will be randomly assigned to retosiban or atosiban treatment in a 1:1 ratio. The duration of any one subject's (maternal or neonatal) participation in the study will be variable and dependent on GA at study entry and the date of delivery.
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of eleclazine (GS-6615) on exercise capacity as measured by Peak oxygen uptake (VO2) achieved during cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), in participants with symptomatic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
The QP ExCELs study is designed to confirm safety and efficacy of the BIOTRONIK Sentus OTW QP left ventricular leads to satisfy FDA requirements for regulatory approval of the leads in the US. The Sentus OTW QP leads received FDA approval on May 4, 2017. Long-term safety of the BIOTRONIK Sentus OTW QP left ventricular leads will be confirmed during the ongoing post approval phase (US sites only). A protocol update was implemented on September 6, 2019 to transition the long-term follow up for the ongoing Sentus QP Study to a new EP PASSION real-world data methodology.
Stroke is defined as a sudden vascular accident that causes brain damage and neurological impairment. Literature shows that a stroke has a negative effect on participation. Self-Management (SM) is defined as health promotion and education programs used mostly for people with chronic diseases, which aim at helping patients to maintain a feeling of wellness. The primary aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a group-based SM program for post-stroke patients in a community setting, and its contribution to improving participation, compared to standard care.
The objective of this study was to assess efficacy and safety of radium-223 dichloride in subjects with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2 negative) hormone receptor positive breast cancer with bone metastases treated with hormonal treatment background therapy
Doppler signals can be recorded from the lung parenchyma by means of a pulsed Doppler ultrasound system incorporating a special signal processing package; i.e. the transthoracic parametric Doppler (TPD) (EchoSense Ltd., Haifa, Israel). Systemic sclerosis patients often develop pulmonary vascular disease leading to pulmonary hypertension. The TPD system may provide important insight into pulmonary blood vessels characteristics by the LDS signals that are related to pulmonary hypertension. The TPD performance in detecting PAH in SSc patients will be assessed in the study.

Ischemic stroke of the spinal cord is a rare disease accounting for about 1% of all ischemic events in the central nervous system (CNS). In most cases the consequences are catastrophic, with a high rate of severe functional disability and mortality rate up to 30%. Ischemic stroke of the spinal cord can arise from: 1. Dissection of the aorta. 2. Aneurism in the aorta. 3. Atherosclerotic disease of the aorta or vertebral arteries. 4. Spinal surgeries. 5. Spinal AVM. 6. Embolism from cardiac origin. 7. Occlusion of radicular artery. Onset is usually sudden, reaching maximal intensity in hours until the patient becomes paralyzed in two or in all four limbs. In most cases the damage is in the Anterior Spinal Artery (ASA). The disease is expressed with motor weakness accompanied by disturbance of temperature and superficial sensation, urinary retention or bowel disorder, with preserved position and vibration sense. The differential diagnosis of ischemic spinal cord includes diseases such as acute myelitis of the spinal cord or acute demyelinating polyneuropathy like Guillan Barree Syndrome (GBS). Therefore in order to reach the appropriate diagnosis in most cases an urgent MRI of the spinal cord is necessary upon arrival in the emergency department. One of the treatments to acute ischemic stroke is providing thrombolysis. As tested and validated in numerous studies for ischemic events in the brain, until today no validated study in ischemic spinal stroke using thrombolysis has been completed.
