DORADO-EX: Long-Term Safety Extension Study to the Phase 3 DORADO Study (Protocol DAR-311) of Darusentan in Resistant Hypertension

Darusentan
Start date: September 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

ASSIST-5
Start date: May 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research study is to determine if Telcyta® given in combination with liposomal doxorubicin is more effective than liposomal doxorubicin alone in treating women who have recurrent ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer or primary peritoneal cancer that is refractory or resistant to platinum chemotherapy.

[S,S]-Reboxetine Long Term Safety Study In Chronic Painful Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.

Start date: July 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the long-term safety and tolerability of [S,S]-Reboxetine in patients with chronic painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy

NCT ID: NCT00348712 Terminated - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Efficacy and Safety of Inhaled Pre-prandial Human Insulin in Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: October 30, 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this research study is to compare the efficacy of adding inhaled preprandial insulin to metformin compared to adding rosiglitazone to metformin for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and to verify its safety (hypoglycaemia, pulmonary function, body weight, insulin antibodies and side effects).

NCT ID: NCT00335660 Terminated - Clinical trials for Overactive Bladder Syndrome

Safety and Efficacy of AV608 in Subjects With Idiopathic Detrusor Overactivity

Start date: June 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of AV608, a neurokinin 1 (NK-1) antagonist, in subjects with Idiopathic Detrusor Overactivity.

NCT ID: NCT00334685 Terminated - Pain Clinical Trials

[S,S]-Reboxetine Add-On Trial

Start date: August 22, 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of adjunctive treatment of pregabalin with [S,S]-Reboxetine against pregabalin monotherapy in patients with PHN

NCT ID: NCT00334568 Terminated - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Effects Of Rosiglitazone (Extended Release Tablets) On Cerebral Glucose Utilisation And Cognition Alzheimers Disease

Start date: December 2004
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Clinical features in patients with the familial early onset forms and the sporadic forms of Alzheimers disease are similar, although the course of deterioration may be different. It would be very informative to examine the drug response of patients with Alzheimers disease by a certain genotype to find evidence favouring genotype-specific drug responses that may indicate genetically defined phenotypic differences in alzheimers disease.

NCT ID: NCT00332826 Terminated - Asthma Clinical Trials

Inhaled Technosphere Insulin in Subjects With Diabetes Mellitus and Asthma

Start date: June 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The clinical trial is designed to evaluate the safety of inhaled Technosphere/Insulin compared with non-inhaled anti-diabetic therapies in subjects with type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus and concurrent asthma.

Safety and Efficacy of Inhaled Insulin in Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: August 31, 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe and South America. The aim of this research is to compare the efficacy (reduction in HbA1c and blood glucose) and pulmonary safety (pulmonary function tests, chest x-rays) of mealtime inhaled insulin with subcutaneous insulin aspart both in combination with insulin detemir in Type 2 Diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT00327470 Terminated - Clinical trials for Macular Degeneration

An Open Label Trial to Investigate Macugen for the Preservation of Visual Function in Subjects With Neovascular AMD

PERSPECTIVES
Start date: July 2006
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the benefits of treating subjects with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) at an earlier stage of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) as compared to those with established CNV. Additionally, the study would like to determine the efficacy of Macugen in preserving visual function in those subjects having CNV secondary to neovascular AMD.
