This trial aims at comparing two strategies currently used to address acute ischemic stroke of the middle cerebral artery : medical treatment without endovascular treatment on the one hand, and medical treatment plus endovascular treatment on the other hand. The efficiency of the strategies will be assessed in terms of early neurological clinical recovery. The study will focus on three particular situations : (1) tandem internal carotid and middle cerebral artery occlusion, (2) situations where patient cannot benefit from fibrinolysis because of high risk of haemorrhage, (3) situations where fibrinolysis is not recommended because of a delay superior to 4.5 hours. The hypothesis to be tested is that medical approach plus endovascular treatment is superior to medical treatment alone
Patients benefitting from a lung transplantation are subject to long-lasting and often severe post-operative pain. Self-hypnosis has been proven effective in the management of acute pain. The study hypothesis is that pre-operative training in self-hypnosis given to patients awaiting lung transplantation, will result in a reduction of post-operative pain one month after surgery.
This study is an open label, randomized, multicenter trial of MM-302 plus trastuzumab. The trial is designed to demonstrate whether MM-302 plus trastuzumab is more effective than the chemotherapy of physician's choice (CPC) plus trastuzumab in locally advanced/metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer patients. Patients may not have been previously treated with an anthracycline in any setting. Patients must have received prior treatment with trastuzumab in any setting, have either progressed or are intolerant to ado-trastuzumab emtansine in the metastatic or locally advanced setting, have either progressed or are intolerant to pertuzumab in the metastatic or locally advanced setting or had disease recurrence within 12 months of pertuzumab treatment in the neoadjuvant or adjuvant setting.
Anemia in patients with cancer is a common problem associated with an impaired quality of life. Treatment with erythropoiesis stimulating agents (ESA) allows an increase in hemoglobin levels in 40-70% of patients and decreased transfusion requirements. Absolute or functional iron deficiency is also common with about 30% of cancer patients with all histologies combined iron deficiency and anemia. Several studies have shown the benefits of the combination of intravenous iron to erythropoiesis-stimulating agents in improving hemoglobin. However, none of them, to the investigators knowledge, has not been specifically performed on a population of patients with functional iron deficiency. In addition, in clinical practice, this association is not carried out in particular because there is no dosage or consensus sequence for the administration of iron associated with ESAs.
The proposed work is part of a multidisciplinary approach to continuity of care in the particular context of the palliative phase of cancer. In conducting this study, we would like to characterize, at the regional level, satisfaction with the care of patients and their families in their care home situations palliative cancer. This evaluation will be based on questionnaires adapted versions in French language satisfaction questionnaires recently validated for patients in palliative situation and supported home care. It will also identify the challenges faced by both patients, caregivers attending physicians. The evaluation of these elements is a prerequisite to propose ways of improving at a hospital palliative care for output relay and anticipate the coordination of care for optimal care of the patient at home, to meet the expectations of different stakeholders, or even prevent certain readmissions "avoidable".
This was an open-label, phase Ib, multicenter clinical trial to determine the MTD/RDE of the orally administered c-MET inhibitor INC280 in combination with cetuximab. This combination was to be explored in c-MET positive mCRC and HNSCC patients whose disease progressed on cetuximab or panitumumab treatment. The dose escalation part was to be guided by a Bayesian Logistic Regression Model with overdose control. At MTD/RDE, additional mCRC and HNSCC patients who progressed on cetuximab or panitumumab treatment were to be enrolled in two expansion groups to further assess the anti-tumor activity and the safety and tolerability of the combination of INC280 and cetuximab. Patients were to receive INC280 on a continuous bid dosing regimen and cetuximab every week. A treatment cycle was defined as 28 days with no scheduled break between cycles. The trial was terminated because of difficulties in identifying patients who met the eligibility criteria.

This is a Phase 1b, open-label, non-randomized, multicenter study to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of orally administered venetoclax (ABT-199) combined with decitabine or azacitidine and the preliminary efficacy of these combinations. In addition, there is a drug-drug interaction (DDI) sub-study only at a single site, to assess the pharmacokinetics and safety of venetoclax (ABT-199) in combination with posaconazole.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Lotus™ Valve System and LOTUS Edge™ Valve System for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in symptomatic subjects with calcific, severe native aortic stenosis who are considered at extreme or high risk for surgical valve replacement.
Right posterior parietal cortex is involved in spatial cognition. Blindfolded patients suffering right posterior parietal lesions fail to update their own position after a body rotation. Right cathodal galvanic vestibular stimulation activates right posterior parietal cortex and reduces symptoms of spatial neglect, another disability frequently encountered after right posterior parietal lesion. The aims of this study are to confirm posterior parietal involvement in automatic updating of body-centered spatial relationships and to evaluate therapeutic effects of galvanic vestibular stimulation. Performances of three groups of adults are compared before and during galvanic vestibular stimulation on a pointing task: a healthy control group, a brain-injured control group with stroke lesions sparing right posterior parietal cortex and a group of stroke patients with right posterior parietal lesions.
