Rationale: Histological inflammation of the prostate is a common finding in the results of the histopathological examinations after a prostate biopsy or a transurethral or open prostatectomy. Several studies have investigated the role of prostatic inflammation in the development of prostatic enlargement and pathogenesis of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). Therefore, prostatic inflammation could be a potential treatment target for men with LUTS. Objective: The aim of the study is the development and the validation of a nomogram based on clinical parameters that could predict the presence of prostatic inflammation. Study design: Non-interventional, multicentric, cross-sectional, observational prospective study. Study population: Men, age ≥ 40 yrs, with LUTS who will undergo any prostatic surgery for BPH (Open, laparoscopic, robotic, transurethral resection/enucleation, laser prostatectomy) or TRUS-biopsy according to the standard clinical practice of the participating urologists Intervention: All included males receive standard care for their symptoms according to the physician's practice. For this study, baseline demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients are recorded and correlated with the histological outcome. Main study parameters/endpoints: Development and validation of the Prostatic Inflammation Nomogram Nature and extent of the burden and risks associated with participation, benefit and group relatedness: No additional treatment or intervention related to the study is required. Therefore no negative outcomes are expected as the standard treatment is unchanged. There is no additional burden for the patients.
The patients included in this study were followed up in the Internal Medicine and Paediatrics Departments of the Lille CHU, the Paediatric Rheumatology and Immunology Department of the Necker Enfant Malade Hospital in Paris and the Paediatric Rheumatology Department and Internal Medicine of the Bicêtre Hospital in Paris. All patients selected presented one of the 3 CAPS clinical phenotypes (CINCA/NOMID, Muckle-Wells or Cold Urticaria). The mutation and the determination of the variant had to be confirmed by genetic analysis. Patient data were collected from their medical records, retrospectively. Data collected concern childhood period from appearance of symptoms, adulthood period, in the last year and patients' way of life and quality of life upon the assessment. In addition, we collected demographic data related to the patients' lifestyle (intoxications, living arrangements, level of education) and we conducted individual telephone interviews lasting 15 minutes to complete a quality of life questionnaire including the SF36 questionnaire. The study aimed to describe the clinical symptoms of patients in adulthood and to assess quality of life. We also wanted to compare the clinical phenotypes of patients according to their genetic variant.
In the 1970s-1980s, Dr. Donald Lalonde (surgeon, Canada) developed an anesthetic technique for hand surgery called WALANT (Wide Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet). This technique is based on the joint administration of a local anesthetic (lidocaine) and epinephrine (adrenaline), which limits bleeding and makes it possible to dispense with a tourniquet. In addition, and contrary to truncal anesthesia, this combination of drugs infiltrated opposite the surgical site preserves the mobility of the limb. However, this technique is not without risk and some adverses events have been reported: intoxication by local anesthetics due to overdose and digital necrosis with the use of procaine or cocaine. Currently in France, truncal anesthesia with a pneumatic tourniquet on the arm is often preferred for hand surgery (axillary block or BAx). In this case, the pneumatic tourniquet is used to minimize intraoperative blood loss and improve the visibility of the operating field. However, it can be a source of discomfort, pain, or transient neurological deficit. To date, few studies comparing WALANT and BAx are available and none have evaluated the perioperative experience of patients and the incidence of paresthesias in the short and long term. In order to measure the perioperative satisfaction of patients undergoing hand surgery with BAx or WALANT, we conduct a prospective observational non-randomized study evaluating the EVAN-LR satisfaction score at D0. The secondary objectives of the study are to evaluate postoperative adverse events (digital necrosis, paresthesias, local anesthetic intoxications, infection of the operated limb), consumption of postoperative analgesic treatments in both groups.
Patients with moderate traumatic brain injury (mTBI) are 1,5 times more frequent than those with severe TBI and some of them will develop secondary neurologic deterioration (SND) within the first 7 days. However, identifying at risk patients of SND is still challenging. This study aimed to determine risk factors associated with SND after mTBI.

Many of these systems adhere to the skin with an adhesive in place between 2 and 14 days. The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence and consequences of skin reactions to skin adhesive systems for the treatment of diabetes.
Hereditary epidermolysis bullosa (HEB) are rare genodermatoses, clinically characterized by epithelial and subepithelial fragility leading to the formation of blisters and spontaneous erosions on skin at the slightest contact, with possible mucosal damage. The care of these patients consists of therapeutic baths leading to renew bandages that sometimes covering the entire integument. These are difficult, delicate and painful moments that patients experience daily at home. For an unexplained reason for 70 to 80% of them, the weak or strong opioid analgesics, deemed necessary and prescribed for good pain control, are not taken on a regular basis as a premedication for baths and dressing changes. The aim of the study is to understand the child's brakes on taking weak or strong opioid analgesics at the time of care and the parents' difficulties in giving these treatments by means of individual interviews.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an emerging infectious disease that was first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. Infection with this new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 can lead to fatal pneumonia associated with high rates of hospitalization in intensive care units (ICU). Hospitalized patients with hematologic malignancies have a higher mortality rate than patients without hematologic malignancies (62% vs. 8%). The severity of Covid-19 may be related to their treatment, in particular anti-CD20 used in B lymphoid hemopathies. In fact, anti-CD20 antibodies induce rapid and prolonged depletion of B cells, but they are necessary for development. humoral immune responses. But currently, no immunogenicity data are known for patients with hemopathy or in those on anti-lymphocyte immunochemotherapy.
In December 2019, infection with a new coronavirus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) emerged in China and has since spread throughout the world. Forms of varying severity of COVID-19, a disease induced by this emerging virus, have been described in pregnant women. In addition to the direct effects of the virus on the pregnant woman and the fetus, the pandemic context itself is likely to act as a psychological risk factor and to alter the protective factors for mental disorders. This pandemic context is in itself anxiety-provoking, even traumatogenic, particularly because of the potentially lethal infectious risk that it conveys, all the more so in psychologically vulnerable populations. In addition to the fear of viral contamination, the fear of childbirth and the postpartum period, which includes a more or less important part of anxiety-provoking uncertainty, is added to the fear of viral contamination in the perinatal period. This addition of stress factors is likely to increase the prevalence of perinatal depressive disorders and anxiety disorders, particularly the psychotraumatic experience of childbirth. Sanitary and social measures, such as quarantine, restriction of access of accompanying persons to maternity unit, or contagious isolation of mothers suspected of being infected or infected, which may furthermore impose a separation of mother and child, are also likely to have psychopathological consequences. In this context, three maternity wards of the PREMA University Hospital Federation (UHF PREMA) : Groupe hospitalier Paris Saint-Joseph (GHPSJ), Louis Mourier Hospital (APHP) and Port-Royal Hospital (APHP), in partnership with the "Centre de Psychopathologie du Boulevard Brune (CPBB)" and the psychiatry department of the Louis Mourier Hospital have set up a care protocol consisting of a systematic screening offered to women following childbirth on the first day of their pregnancy, aimed at identifying those with perinatal anxiety and depressive symptoms. Women presenting symptoms are then treated according to the modalities adapted to the organization of each of these three centers.
To evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of intravenous administration of OAV101 (AVXS-101) in patients with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) with bi-allelic mutations in the survival motor neuron 1 (SMN1) gene weighing ≥ 8.5 kg and ≤ 21 kg, over a 12 month period.
Objective : To explore the diagnostic contribution of the 18F-FDG-PET/CT in a population of patients with classical fever of unknown origin (FUO), to precise its place in the diagnostic decision tree in a real-life setting and to identify factors associated with a diagnostic 18F-FDG-PET/CT. Methods: All adult patients (age≥18 years) with a diagnosis of classical FUO who underwent a 18F-FDG-PET/CT in the University Hospital of Montpellier (France) between April 2012 and December 2017 were included. True positive 18F-FDG-PET/CT which evidenced a specific disease causing FUO were considered to be contributive.
