There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This 6 arm study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of 5 doses of RO4998452 compared to placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Patients will be randomized to one of 6 groups to receive RO4998452 at doses of 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, 20mg or 40mg po daily, or placebo daily. Patients pre-treated with stable metformin will continue to take their usual dose of metformin throughout the study. The anticipated time on study treatment is <=3 months
This study will test whether darapladib can safely lower the chances of having a cardiovascular event (such as a heart attack or stroke) in people with coronary heart disease.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety of Humira® in Adult Patients with Chronic Plaque Psoriasis (Ps).
Interventional study to assess the effect of early detection and treatment of bacterial vaginosis in pregnancy on preterm delivery rate.
Teduglutide is an investigative medicine being evaluated as a possible treatment for people with parenteral nutrition (PN) dependent Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS). Teduglutide is similar to a protein the body makes. When people have SBS, their bodies do not make enough of the protein and they have trouble getting nutrients and fluids from the food they eat and drink. This study was designed to provide evidence of efficacy, safety, and tolerability of teduglutide 0.05 mg/kg daily in SBS subjects.
The drug being studied, fesoterodine fumarate helps prevent the bladder neck opening at unwanted times and has been shown to help patients with overactive bladder syndrome pass urine less frequently than before treatment. It is postulated that this drug will also prove effective in elderly patients (aged > 65 years) and that the ability to change dose between 4 and 8mg will allow each patient to have an optimised treatment.
This trial will evaluate the safety and efficacy of microplasmin, administered as an intravitreal injection, in subjects with focal vitreomacular adhesion. In previously performed clinical trials, some patients treated with intravitreal microplasmin have had resolution of their underlying condition, including macular hole closure, without need for vitrectomy. This clinical trial is justified because the sponsor believes the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks.
A great controversy exists about which is the best method to perform the evacuation of the collection. The purpose of this study is to evaluate which is the best initial treatment to drain complicated parapneumonic empyema (stages II and III) in children: the present study raises a hypothesis of equivalence between both arms of treatment (chest drainage plus intrapleural urokinase or videothoracoscopic debridement).
The aim of this study is to assess the current management strategies in a pan-European "real-life" setting to uncover the unmet need in this area: non-variceal gastrointestinal bleedings.
Compare the glycemic and insulinemic responses of a standard nutritional product with two diabetes-specific nutritional products in patients with type 2 diabetes.
