There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This randomized phase III trial studies the side effects of paclitaxel when given together with cisplatin or topotecan with or without bevacizumab and to compare how well they work in treating patients with stage IVB, cervical cancer that has come back or is persistent. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, cisplatin, and topotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether paclitaxel is more effective when given together with cisplatin or topotecan with or without bevacizumab in treating patients with cervical cancer.
Multi-center, single-arm Phase 1b study designed to evaluate safety and tolerability of ARQ 197 in cirrhotic patients with HCC.
The goal of this randomized observer-blind trial is to further refine the formulation of vaccines containing GSK1437173A in older adults by comparing the cellular and humoral immune responses and the safety profiles of the different formulations.
Prospective, double-blind, double-dummy, 2-arm, parallel-group, design. Flexible dose regimen for solifenacin succinate, fixed dose treatment regimen for tolterodine. Assessment of OAB symptoms by patient diaries.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a single administration of QPI-1002 (also known as I5NP) can prevent DGF in patients undergoing deceased donor kidney transplantation. In this Phase I /II study, patients who are undergoing renal transplantation with organs from DCD donors, ECD donors or SCD donors with ≥ 24 hours of cold ischemia time who meet study entry criteria will be studied to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetic profile of I5NP (Part A) and clinical activity of I5NP administration (Part B). Data from this study will be used to identify doses of I5NP to be used in follow-on efficacy studies. Part A will be a randomized, dose escalation study to determine the highest or maximum tolerated dose (MTD). Part A will enroll 40 patients at approximately 20 sites; patients will be randomized to receive either I5NP or placebo in a ratio of 8:2 in each cohort (cohorts 1-4). Part B will utilize the dose identified in Part A to further evaluate, in a double-blind manner, the safety, and clinical activity of I5NP. In Part B, up to 326 patients will participate at approximately 60 sites; up to 163 patients will be randomized to receive I5NP and up to 163 patients randomized to receive placebo.
Our working hypothesis is that patients undergoing "in vitro" fertilization (IVF) with higher response to ovarian stimulation protocols recover a higher number of oocytes and, this elevated response could be translated into increased incidence of chromosomally abnormal embryos. Our objective is to develop a prospective study on healthy young donors, with a previous cycle with high ovarian response (>20 oocytes and/or E2 levels the day of the hCG injection >3000 pg/mL), but without developing mild or severe hyperstimulation syndrome. After signing a proper written consent, these donors would agree to undergo two subsequent stimulation cycles following two different protocols. In one cycle the stimulation pattern would be similar to the previous one, with elevated response and, in another cycle the amount of gonadotropins would be cut down in order to obtain lower ovarian response. Oocytes obtained in each cycle would be donated to anonymous recipients and after fertilization, embryo quality and chromosomal status of the resulting embryos would be evaluated. Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) will be performed on day-3 embryos and chromosomes 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, X and Y would be analyzed by fluorescence "in situ" hybridization (FISH).
Prospective, double-blind, double-randomised, 2-arm parallel group study. Optimal dose increase. Primary efficacy assessment of OAB symptoms by patient diaries.
The purpose of this uncontrolled, multi-center, open-label trial was to investigate the feasibility of using degarelix as intermittent androgen deprivation (IAD) therapy in the treatment of prostate cancer.
This single arm study will provide treatment or re-treatment with PEGASYS as monotherapy or in combination with ribavirin (Copegus), to patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) who have participated in a previous Roche or Roche partner protocol where access to treatment or re-treatment was promised or deemed appropriate following completion of the original protocol ('donor' protocol). Patients who qualify for treatment or re-treatment will begin PEGASYS monotherapy, at a maximum dose of 180 µg weekly, or combination therapy with Copegus, 800-1200 mg daily, as continuation of treatment after the wash-out period defined in their donor protocol. PEGASYS treatment is not to exceed the approved treatment duration of 48 weeks in genotype G1 with a treatment-free follow up period of 24 weeks.
This trial will assess the safety of defibrillator testing and the influence of defibrillation testing on the efficacy of clinical shocks. The trial will test the hypothesis that implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation without defibrillation testing (DT) is non-inferior to implantation with testing against the composite endpoint of ineffective first appropriate clinical shock or arrhythmic death. It will also test the hypothesis, that defibrillation testing increases the peri-operative (30 days) complication rate of ICD implantation.
