There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether LY2140023, when added to standard-of-care antipsychotic treatment, will improve negative symptoms.
This partially randomized, multi-center parallel-group study will evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics and the effect on viral load and viral shedding of Tamiflu (Oseltamivir) in patients with influenza. Adult and adolescent patients will be randomized to receive either 100 mg or 200 mg of study drug intravenously every 12 hours. Investigators and patients are blinded to knowledge of the assigned dose of Tamiflu. There is an option to convert to oral Tamiflu after 6 intravenous infusions. The anticipated time on study treatment is 5 days, with an optional treatment extension of a further 5 days, if necessary. There will be a non-randomized, open-label treatment group for patients with moderate/severe renal impairment or renal failure. Intravenous dose levels and frequency will be adjusted appropriately to their renal situation.
The purpose of this study is to determine wether NP031112 is safe and effective in the treatment of mild to moderate Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
BACKGROUND: Between 3-4% of pregnancies carried to term, the fetuses are in breech presentation. The external version is a maneuver gynecological used to turn a breech in cephalic presentation. For treatment of pain suggests the use of μ agonist remifentanil for fast action and elimination. OBJECTIVE: To compare the effectiveness of remifentanil for pain management in external version. PATIENTS: Pregnant for 36 weeks or more with breech presentation who met the inclusion criteria and sign the consent. Participants will be randomized into two groups before the procedure. Group intervention: paracetamol and remifentanil Control group: paracetamol and placebo DETERMINATIONS: VAS pain level, percentage of success of the maneuver and adverse events. Statistical Analysis: Comparison of pain recorded by VAS in both groups and comparison of adverse events
- Primary objective is to evaluate time to onset of effect of formoterol, 9 μg single dose, compared with salmeterol, 50 μg single dose, in patients with moderate COPD.Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1) measured by spirometry 5 minutes postdose. - Secondary efficacy variables: Average FEV1 during the first 15 minutes (area under the FEV1 curve from 0 to 15 minutes), Average FEV1 during 120 minutes (area under the FEV1 curve from 0 to 120 minutes)
The purpose of this clinical trial is to characterize drug interactions between one medicinal herb widely used by HIV infected patients: Echinacea sp. and the protease inhibitor darunavir/ritonavir.
This open-label study will assess the pharmacodynamics, safety and efficacy of RO5083945 as compared to cetuximab in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Patients will receive at least 2 infusions of either RO5083945 or cetuximab. Anticipated time on study treatment is up to 3 months, and target sample size is <50.
This trial compares the pharmacokinetics of palonosetron administered subcutaneously and intravenously.
Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody with proven efficacy in WM but responses are slow. Bortezomib has shown significant and rapid activity in WM. Combinations of bortezomib with rituximab nad dexamethasone with rituximab have shown synergistic activity in laboratory studies and clinical trials. This is a Phase II multicenter study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the combination of Bortezomib , Rituximab and dexamethasone (BDR). BDR will be administered in one 21-day treatment cycle followed by four 35-day treatment cycles to patients with WM. Bortezomib will be administered as an iv push over 3 to 5 seconds at a dose of 1.3mg/m2/day on days 1,4,8 and 11 of cycle 1. On cycles 2-5 bortezomib will be given at a dose of 1.6mg/m2/day on days 1,8,15 and 22 of each cycle. Only on cycles 2 and 5, following the administration of Bortezomib, dexamethasone 40mg iv and Rituximab 375 mg/m2 iv will be administered. A total of 8 infusions of rituximab will be administered. Subsequently patients rated as CR, PR, MR or SD will be followed without any treatment until there is evidence of progressive disease.
This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of this trial is to compare the efficacy and safety of NN5401 (insulin degludec/insulin aspart (IDegAsp)) with insulin glargine (IGlar), both as add-on to subject's ongoing treatment with metformin + at least one OAD (oral anti-diabetic drug). The main period is registered internally at Novo Nordisk as NN5401-3590 while the extension period is registered as NN5401-3726.
