Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is the first evaluation of edoxaban in pediatric subjects. In this Phase 1 study, a single dose of edoxaban will be given to pediatric subjects who require anticoagulant therapy to see what the body does to the drug (pharmacokinetics) and what the drug does to the body (pharmacodynamics), and to compare if these effects are similar to those observed in adults.

NCT ID: NCT02302807 Completed - Bladder Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Atezolizumab Compared With Chemotherapy in Participants With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Urothelial Bladder Cancer [IMvigor211]

Start date: January 13, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase III, global, multicenter, open-label, two-arm, randomized, controlled study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab compared with chemotherapy in participants with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial bladder cancer (UBC) who have progressed during or following a platinum-containing regimen. The anticipated time on study treatment is based on continued clinical benefit, i.e., until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. The target sample size is 931 participants.

NCT ID: NCT02302326 Completed - Clinical trials for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Involvement of Reticulum Endoplasmic Stress in the Physiopathology of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

PI12/1984
Start date: January 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main objective of the present project is to evaluate the relevance of reticulum stress in the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), focusing particularly on the underlying mechanisms of insulin resistance, which is the origin of metabolic comorbidities. Furthermore, the investigators will assess the potential of insulin sensitizers as a treatment to control endoplasmic reticulum stress markers in PCOS patients.

NCT ID: NCT02301988 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Ipatasertib (GDC-0068) in Combination With Paclitaxel as Neoadjuvant Treatment for Participants With Early Stage Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Start date: February 17, 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, pre-operative Phase II study designed to estimate the efficacy of ipatasertib combined with paclitaxel chemotherapy versus placebo combined with paclitaxel chemotherapy in women with Stage Ia - IIIa triple-negative breast adenocarcinoma. The anticipated time on study treatment is 12 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT02301975 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

An Efficacy and Safety Study of Fluticasone Furoate/Vilanterol 100/25 Microgram (mcg) Inhalation Powder, Fluticasone Propionate/Salmeterol 250/50 mcg Inhalation Powder, and Fluticasone Propionate 250 mcg Inhalation Powder in Adults and Adolescents With Persistent Asthma

Start date: March 1, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group, multicenter, non-inferiority study. The study will enroll adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects who are currently receiving mid dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) plus long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) (equivalent to fluticasone propionate [FP]/salmeterol 250/50 microgram [mcg]twice daily [BD]), either via a fixed dose combination product or through separate inhalers. The study consists of a LABA washout period of 5 days and a run-in period of 4 weeks, followed by a treatment period of 24 weeks, and a follow up contact period of one week. The total duration of the study is 30 weeks. Approximately 1461 subjects will be randomized to one of the following three treatments (487 per treatment): fluticasone furoate (FF)/vilanterol (VI) 100/25 mcg once daily (OD) in the evening (PM) via ELLIPTA™ inhaler plus placebo BD via ACCUHALER™/DISKUS™; FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler; FP 250 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler. In addition, all subjects will be supplied with albuterol/salbutamol inhalation aerosol to use as needed to treat acute asthma symptoms. This study will determine if FF/VI 100/25 mcg OD via ELLIPTA inhaler is non-inferior to FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler in adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects already adequately controlled on a twice-daily ICS/LABA. SERETIDE, ELLIPTA, ACCUHALER, RELVAR, and DISKUS are trademarks of the GlaxoSmithKline Group of Companies.
