NCT ID: NCT03052192 Active, not recruiting - Aging Clinical Trials

Biological Aging, Medication, Malnutrition and Inflammation Among Acutely Ill and Healthy Elderly.

FAM-CPH
Start date: November 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this study, the investigators will investigate and characterize acute medical patients in order to optimize patient courses in the acute care departments, especially with regard to polypharmacy and undernourishment. In addition, the investigators will investigate underlying immunological mechanisms of chronic inflammation and biological aging in this population to improve the current knowledge and possibilities for preventing chronic diseases and acute hospitalization.

NCT ID: NCT03049553 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN)

Trial23 - A Method Study on Cervical Screening in Women Offered HPV-vaccination as Girls

Start date: February 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In Denmark, the first birth cohorts of women offered HPV-vaccination as girls are entering the cervical screening program. These women are expected to be better protected against cervical cancer. It has not yet been decided how to screen these women. This method study will investigate a possible screening scheme that could provide a reduced burden of screening for HPV-vaccinated birth cohorts.

NCT ID: NCT03049007 Active, not recruiting - Grief Clinical Trials

The Aarhus Bereavement Study

TABS
Start date: February 7, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Psychological distress is a natural reaction following the death of a loved one. Nevertheless, research has shown that for a significant minority of bereaved individuals the grieving process is disturbed. These individuals experience an intense grief reaction that persists across time characterized by longing for the deceased or persistent preoccupation with the deceased. It has been suggested that this intense, persistent grief reaction meets criteria to be considered a distinct mental disorder. Prolonged grief disorder (PGD) has been proposed to capture this condition and will be included in the forthcoming ICD-11. The proposed project aims to prepare healthcare services to use the diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder (PGD) by determining the frequency of PDG in a population sample of bereaved spouses and their adult children. It will also identify early predictors of PGD and trajectories of natural and prolonged grief as well as investigate the specificity of PGD in relation to other common loss-related reactions. Thus, the project will provide a prognostic tool to identify individuals with high versus low risk of developing PGD.

NCT ID: NCT03041012 Active, not recruiting - Hiv Clinical Trials

Early Administration of Romidepsin and 3BNC117 in Treatment-naïve HIV Patients Starting ART

eCLEAR
Start date: January 20, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the effect of early viral reactivation by latency reversing agents (LRA) and/or administration of potent broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAb) on the size of the latent HIV-1 reservoir in treatment naïve HIV-1 patients initiating antiretroviral therapy (ART)

NCT ID: NCT03039751 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Adenovirus Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor D (AdvVEGF-D) Therapy for Treatment of Refractory Angina Pectoris

ReGenHeart
Start date: October 19, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of catheter mediated endocardial adenovirus-mediated vascular endothelial growth factor-D (AdVEGF-D) regenerative gene transfer in patients with refractory angina to whom revascularisation cannot be performed.

NCT ID: NCT03036280 Active, not recruiting - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

A 24-Month Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Elenbecestat (E2609) in Subjects With Early Alzheimer's Disease_

MissionAD2
Start date: December 29, 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The name of this trial is MissionAD2. This phase 3 study consists of a Core and Open Label Extension (OLE) Phase in participants with Early Alzheimer's Disease (EAD), and will be conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of E2609. The Core is a 24-month treatment, multicenter, double blind, placebo controlled parallel group study. The OLE is a 24-month treatment, one group study. The data for end points for the studies E2609-G000-301 (NCT02956486) and E2609-G000-302 (NCT03036280) will be pooled for a combined total of 1900 participants.

NCT ID: NCT03036098 Active, not recruiting - Urothelial Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Nivolumab in Combination With Ipilimumab or Standard of Care Chemotherapy Compared to the Standard of Care Chemotherapy Alone in Treatment of Participants With Untreated Inoperable or Metastatic Urothelial Cancer

CheckMate901
Start date: March 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether an investigational immunotherapy nivolumab in combination with ipilimumab or in combination with standard of care chemotherapy is more effective than standard of care chemotherapy alone in treating participants with previously untreated inoperable or metastatic urothelial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03027856 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

The BIFSORB Pilot Study II

The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility and safety of the Magmaris BRS for treatment of coronary bifurcation lesions.

NCT ID: NCT03022344 Active, not recruiting - Diabetes Clinical Trials

DD2-Coronary Plaque Morphology and Plaque Progression

DD2plaque
Start date: November 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

However, there is only very sparse information regarding the atherosclerotic burden and cardiovascular biomarkers in the early stages of type-2 diabetes, as the vast majority of studies have concerned diabetes populations with more than 5 years average diabetes age or high-risk subgroups, who at inclusion already had atherosclerotic disease manifestations. Consequently, this study aims on evaluating the occurrence of early-stage subclinical atherosclerosis in newly diagnosed type-2 diabetes with special emphasis on coronary plaque characteristics by modern imaging techniques. These findings will be compared to the functional status of various peripheral arterial segments and biomarkers in the cross-sectional part of this study. The 5-year follow-up study intends to describe relationships between these selected measures for general atherosclerotic involvement and the progression of the coronary atherosclerotic burden by contemporary techniques.
