NCT ID: NCT00326976 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Efficacy of FX06 in the Prevention of Myocardial Reperfusion Injury

Start date: August 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether FX06 is capable of limiting infarct size following balloon catheterization for acute myocardial infarction.

NCT ID: NCT00326534 Completed - Sarcoidosis Clinical Trials

Rickettsial Genesis to Sarcoidosis in Denmark

Start date: September 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

One study has suggested a connection between an infection with Rickettsia species and sarcoidosis finding molecular evidence of rickettsial deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in two patients. Another study found no antibodies in twenty Swedish patients with sarcoidosis. This study will further enhance the subject by three different approaches in Danish patients. The purpose of this study is to find serological and molecular evidence of an infection with Rickettsia species in Danish patients with sarcoidosis.

NCT ID: NCT00325780 Completed - Clinical trials for Hypercholesterolemia

Long-Term Extension Study of Pitavastatin in Patients With Primary Hypercholesterolemia or Combined Dyslipidemia

Start date: July 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a long-term follow-up protocol for patients who participated in study NK-104-3.01EU or study NK-104-3.02EU.

NCT ID: NCT00324233 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Residual Urine After Intermittent Catheterisation

Start date: April 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Intermittent catheterization is a well-known method used for emptying the bladder. The objective of this study is to compare the residual urine after intermittent catheterisation with 2 different, hydrophilic coated, intermittent catheters. The study is a randomized, single blinded, crossover study including 24 healthy males.

NCT ID: NCT00324012 Completed - Clinical trials for Adrenocortical Carcinoma

Trial With Taxotere and Cisplatin in Non-operable Adrenocortical Carcinoma

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The trial is a phase II trial in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), a rare malignancy with poor prognosis. It will provide results leading to the establishment of the effect of the included drugs. The regimen consists of cisplatin plus taxotere. Over a period of 1-2 years this national trial will include 19-36 patients with advanced ACC from different centres in Denmark. Patients not responding to the first line treatment will be switched to the alternative regimen. The primary objective of this trial is to investigate response rate. Secondary endpoints are survival, time to progression, best overall response rate and duration of response.

NCT ID: NCT00323401 Completed - Pregnancy Clinical Trials

The Influence of Antenatal Classes on Pregnancy, Birth and Parenthood

Start date: May 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

1. To study the influence of antenatal classes for first time parents and their effect ob pregnancy, birth and parenthood. 2. Randomized into two groups (a. 3 courses in midpregnancy and b. no courses) 3. Data on pregnancy, birth and parenthood are collected from register and questionaire

NCT ID: NCT00322660 Completed - Hypoglycemia Clinical Trials

Adrenaline Injections to Children Born at Elective CS

Start date: June 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Children born after elective C-section have a greater risk of respiratory problems and hypoglycemia - most likely due to a lower concentration of stress hormones compared to children born vaginally. Hypothesis: can we eliminate or reduce the risk of respiratory distress and hypoglycaemia by administrating adrenaline to the newborn.

NCT ID: NCT00322595 Completed - Clinical trials for Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Efficacy and Safety Study of Seroquel SR in the Treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder

SILVER
Start date: May 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of (SEROQUEL SR™ ) quetiapine fumarate sustained-release (SR) compared to placebo in the treatment of anxiety symptoms in patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). PLEASE NOTE: Seroquel SR and Seroquel XR refer to the same formulation. The SR designation was changed to XR after consultation with FDA.

NCT ID: NCT00321919 Completed - Anemia Clinical Trials

A Study of Treatment With NeoRecormon (Epoetin Beta) in Patients With Chronic Renal Anemia

Start date: July 2000
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate whether anemia prevention with NeoRecormon has an additional impact on reducing cardiovascular risk over conventional anemia treatment in patients mostly with stage IV chronic kidney disease and renal anemia. The anticipated time on study treatment is 2+ years and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.

NCT ID: NCT00321321 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

The Beta Cell Responsiveness to Glucose-dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide (GIP) With and Without Sulfonylurea in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: May 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The investigators hypothesize that the impaired insulinotropic effect of the incretin hormone GIP may be due to inadequate sensitization and ATP induced closure of beta cell K-ATP channels. By closing the channels through the use of sulfonylurea (SU) we hope to restore the insulinotropic effect of GIP.
