NCT ID: NCT01510093 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Diurnal Variation of Exogenous Peptides (Endogenous Insulin Jurgita II)

Start date: May 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an exploratory trial with two cross-over arms investigating pharmacokinetic profiles of endogenous and exogenous insulin in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients treated with continuous subcutaneous Insulin Aspart infusion and combined with or without intravenous glucose infusion. The order of treatment session will be randomised. Hypotheses: 1. Secretion of endogenous insulin depends on exogenous insulin supply 2. Secretion of endogenous insulin is depends on plasma glucose levels

NCT ID: NCT01510028 Completed - Clinical trials for Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD)

Multicenter Study of HGT-1110 Administered Intrathecally in Children With Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD)

IDEAMLD
Start date: February 2, 2012
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of ascending doses of HGT-1110 administered by intrathecal (IT) injection for 38 weeks (20 injections) in children with metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD).

NCT ID: NCT01509755 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Comparison of Liraglutide and Glimepiride on Blood Sugar Control in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: October 2000
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this trial is to establish the dose response relationship on glycaemic control of five dose levels of NNC90-1170.

NCT ID: NCT01509729 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Topical Lidocaine After Major Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

Start date: June 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Pain after major arthroscopic surgery is dependent on an optimal multimodal analgesic treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01509677 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Trial to Assess the Anti-inflammatory Effects of Roflumilast in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Start date: February 1, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The objective of the Biopsy trial is to investigate the effect of roflumilast 500 µg tablets once daily versus placebo on inflammation parameters in bronchial biopsy tissue specimen and additional in sputum and blood serum. Also data on safety status will be obtained. Patients to be included required to have moderate to severe COPD associated with chronic bronchitis. The total duration of this randomized, multicentre, phase III trial is 24 weeks maximum.

NCT ID: NCT01509521 Completed - Clinical trials for Complications; Cesarean Section

The Oxygenation of the Brain During Caesarean Section

OBDUC
Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of phenylephrine versus ephedrine on organ perfusion, in women undergoing caesarean section receiving spinal anaesthesia. The organ perfusion is estimated by measuring the maternal cerebral oxygenation by NIRS(Near-infrared spectroscopy)and the foetal heartrate.

NCT ID: NCT01509430 Completed - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

DAHANCA 25B: Progressive Resistance Training as Intervention for Regaining Muscle Mass After Radiation Therapy in Patients With HNSCC

Start date: October 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Head and neck cancer patients often experience a critical weight loss of around 10% following radiation therapy. Of this up to 70% is muscle mass and is an independent predictor of mortality, lowers muscle strength and functional performance. The purpose of this study is in a randomized controlled trial to investigate the effects of progressive resistance training (PRET) on changes in muscle mass, muscle strength and functional performance in head and neck cancer survivors. The investigators hypothesize that PRET has a positive effect on all primary endpoints and increases muscle mass, muscle strength and functional performance.

NCT ID: NCT01508949 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Effect of Liraglutide on Weight and Appetite in Obese Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: June 2001
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of the trial is to investigate the effect of NNC 90-1170 (liraglutide) on weight and appetite in obese subjects with type 2 diabetes treated with diet and/or sulphonylurea or repaglinide.

NCT ID: NCT01508923 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Effect of Liraglutide on Glucose Profiles and Gastric Emptying in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: May 2001
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this trial is to determine the effect of NNC 90-1170 (liraglutide) on glucose and hormonal profiles, fasting gluconeogenesis and insulin secretion in subjects with type 2 diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT01508039 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Immunological Effects From Intranasal Chitin Micro-Particles

INCA
Start date: April 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is: - To investigate whether chitin can effect healthy adults, the nasal mucosa in a direction that will enhance the immune response to infection - To investigate whether chitin influence of the nasal mucosa is well tolerated, and that there is no inflammation, as it seen with exposure to endotoxin.
