APPLES
Start date: May 25, 2005
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational study to assess the long-term safety of Protopic® Ointment for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Patients whose ages are/were < 16 years at the time of first tacrolimus ointment exposure are eligible to participate. No drug is distributed during this observational trial.

NCT ID: NCT00473486 Terminated - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Non-Small-Cell Lung

Study in Patients With Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Treated With Pemetrexed and Carboplatin Plus or Minus Sorafenib

PECASO
Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The majority of patients with advanced NSCLC treated with standard platinum based chemotherapy regimens ultimately develop disease progression. Active therapies with improved toxicity profiles are clearly needed in this setting. The primary objective of this trial is to assess the toxicity profile and to determine the effect on progression free survival and time to progression in patients with advanced NSCLC treated with sorafenib in addition to carboplatin and pemetrexed.

NCT ID: NCT00471744 Terminated - Epilepsy, Rolandic Clinical Trials

HEAD-Study Optimizing the Treatment of Children With BECTS

HEAD
Start date: June 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The investigators hypothesize that Levetiracetam is as effective as Sulthiame in the treatment of children with BECTS. Patients entering the HEAD-Studie are either treated with Leveitracetam or Sulthiame over a 6 months period. Patients are equally randomised to one of the two treatment regimens. Administration of medication as blinded capsules.

NCT ID: NCT00471237 Terminated - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

A Phase II Study Evaluating SB-751689 in Post-Menopausal Women With Osteoporosis.

Start date: May 14, 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a 12 month study designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of SB-751689 in the treatment of osteoporosis in post-menopausal women, in comparison with 2 active comparators and placebo.

NCT ID: NCT00469404 Terminated - Healthy Clinical Trials

Single Dose Trial Comparing the Plasma Levels of Two Different Analgesic Transdermal Patch Formulations (Protocol ID 297307)

Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the plasma levels of two different analgesic transdermal patch formulations lead to same plasma levels of the active ingredient after single dose application.

NCT ID: NCT00469053 Terminated - Healthy Clinical Trials

Multiple Dose Trial Comparing the Plasma Levels of Two Different Analgesic Transdermal Patch Formulations (Protocol ID: 855509)

Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether two different analgesic transdermal patch formulations lead to same plasma levels of active ingredient after multiple dose application.

NCT ID: NCT00464061 Terminated - Clinical trials for Sleep Initiation and Maintenance Disorders

Efficacy an Safety of Volinanserin on Sleep Maintenance Insomnia With a Sub-study on Stable Type II Diabetes Mellitus

SAMS
Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess efficacy and safety of volinanserin in the population of patients complaining of sleep maintenance insomnia. The objective of the substudy is to assess glycemic control in the subgroup of patients with type II diabetes mellitus.

NCT ID: NCT00458276 Terminated - Heart Diseases Clinical Trials

Study of the Efficacy and Safety of Tezosentan in Patients With Pre-operative Pulmonary Hypertension, Due to Left Heart Disease, Undergoing Open Heart Surgery

Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Endothelin-1 is a powerful substance that may be involved in causing hemodynamic instability (problems related to unstable blood pressure) during and after open heart surgery. Tezosentan is an investigational intravenous drug that blocks the endothelin receptors. This clinical trial will assess the potential benefit of tezosentan compared with placebo in the treatment of patients undergoing open heart surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Treatment time is from the start of surgery up to 24 hours.

NCT ID: NCT00457951 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

A Study Designed to Evaluate ODSH in Subjects With Exacerbations of COPD

COPD
Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether ODSH, when added to conventional treatment, is more effective in treating COPD exacerbations than conventional therapy alone.

NCT ID: NCT00457431 Terminated - Cardiac Arrest Clinical Trials

Hypothermia After In-hospital Cardiac Arrest

HACAinhospital
Start date: April 3, 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

ILCOR Recommendations "On the basis of the published evidence to date, the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Task Force of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) made the following recommendations in October 2002: Unconscious adult patients with spontaneous circulation after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest should be cooled to 32°C to 34°C for 12 to 24 hours when the initial rhythm was ventricular fibrillation (VF).Such cooling may also be beneficial for other rhythms or in-hospital cardiac arrest" (Circulation. 2003;108:118-121). This study ist to investigate the efficacy of mild therapeutic hypothermia on mortality and neurological outcome in patients after in-hospital cardiac arrest.
