There are about 13446 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Belgium. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab + epacadostat vs pembrolizumab + placebo in participants with cisplatin-ineligible urothelial carcinoma.
This is an open label, single-arm, multicenter, Phase 2 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of bb2121 in subjects with relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma. A leukapheresis procedure will be performed to manufacture bb2121 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) modified T cells. Prior to bb2121 infusion subjects will receive lymphodepleting therapy with fludarabine and cyclophosphamide.
The main purpose of this study is to assess the safety of the combination of JNJ-63723283 and daratumumab (Part 1); to compare the overall response rate (ORR) in participants treated with JNJ-63723283 in combination with daratumumab versus daratumumab alone (Part 2); and to compare progression-free survival (PFS) in participants treated with JNJ-63723283 in combination with daratumumab versus daratumumab alone (Part 3).
This work aims to describe the characteristics and methods of management of patients suffering from a solid tumor treated with immunotherapy admitted to intensive care.
The study has a phase Ib and a phase II part. - The phase Ib aims to evaluate the safety and tolerability of durvalumab in combination with a dose- dense EC regimen in a neoadjuvant setting for early breast cancer. - The phase II aims to explore the efficacy of durvalumab in combination with a dose-dense EC regimen in a neoadjuvant setting for early breast cancer.
Gastroparesis is a disorder triggered by numerous causes and it is defined by symptoms and with an objective evidence of delayed gastric emptying in the absence of obstruction. Effective treatment for gastroparesis is challenging especially in patients with severe symptoms. In refractory gastroparesis, endoscopic or surgical treatments may therefore be considered. Endoscopic treatments include intrapyloric injection of botulinum toxin and transpyloric insertion of a metallic stent. Surgical options involve implantation of a gastric "pacemaker" (gastric stimulation), pyloroplasty and subtotal gastrectomy. Recently, a new endoscopic technique, gastric endoscopic per oral pyloromyotomy (G-POEM) has been introduced with promising preliminary results. The aim of this prospective, sham-controlled, cross-over study (cross-over for patients randomized to the sham arm) is to compare short and long-term efficacy and safety of G-POEM in patients with refractory gastroparesis. Symptoms and objective parameters of gastric emptying will be the main outcome criteria. The reason of using a sham protocol is to control for the potential confounders (therapeutic effects of touch and belief, which are components of the placebo effect).
XIENCE 28 Global Study is a prospective, single arm, multi-center, open label, non-randomized trial to further evaluate the safety of 1-month (as short as 28 days) dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in subjects at high risk of bleeding (HBR) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with the approved XIENCE family (XIENCE Xpedition Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System [EECSS], XIENCE Alpine EECSS, XIENCE PROX EECSS, XIENCE ProA EECSS or XIENCE Sierra EECSS of coronary drug-eluting stents
A stroke occurs when the blood circulation is hampered due an ischemic or hemorrhagic event. Previous, a stroke was treated only with anti-aggregation. Over time, multiple studies have showed a positive effect of intravenous thrombolysis with rt-PA (recombinant tissue plasminogen activator) in comparison with the standard treatment (anti-aggregation). Since 2015, thrombectomy was proven to have an added value in combination with thrombolysis. Thrombectomy is an endovascular technique where the thrombus is removed or fragmented. Diagnosis and treatment of stroke will have a significant impact on the health-economic status of the patient. However, little data is known. Unfortunately, the outcome after diagnosis with a stroke is not well documented. Therefore, this follow-up study over a time period of one year, will give us a sufficient amount of data to evaluate patients diagnosed with a stroke in the hospital of Genk.
Study to investigate if the study drug ticagrelor and ASA is more effective than Placebo (inactive tablet) and ASA in preventing new stroke events
This is an interventional comparative study at the Department of Reproductive Medicine at Ghent University Hospital. Patients with previous embryo developmental problems are eligible for the study. Patients will undergo an ICSI-AOA treatment and will also be screened for genes important in the oocyte activation and embryonic development process. Also, the calcium releasing pattern of the patients' spermatozoa will be investigated.
