NCT ID: NCT00334100 Withdrawn - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Treadmill Training in Chronic MS: Efficacy and Cost-effectiveness

Start date: April 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine whether treadmill training is safe and beneficial in patients with walking difficulty because of multiple sclerosis.

NCT ID: NCT00369954 Withdrawn - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Gemcitabine and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Persistent or Recurrent Ovarian Epithelial Cancer, Primary Peritoneal Cancer, or Fallopian Tube Cancer That Responded to Previous Cisplatin or Carboplatin

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) and giving them in different ways may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well giving gemcitabine together with carboplatin works in treating patients with persistent or recurrent ovarian epithelial cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer that responded to previous cisplatin or carboplatin.

NCT ID: NCT00385463 Withdrawn - Asthma Clinical Trials

Adolescent and Adult Subjects With Asthma and Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis Receiving Advair Diskus or Placebo

Start date: April 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The four respiratory drugs being researched in this study have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are currently available by prescription at your drug store. One of the drugs is for the treatment of asthma alone, one is for treatment of SAR alone, and one is for treatment of both SAR and asthma. In addition, you will also receive one asthma rescue drug (albuterol) that is to be used for any breakthrough asthma symptoms that you may experience throughout the study. The purpose of this study is to see how well your asthma and SAR are controlled when taking one of the medicine combinations

NCT ID: NCT00418431 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

Intravitreal Bevacizumab for the Treatment of Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) has been known since it was first described by Von Graefe and termed "idiopathic detachment of the macula" in 1866, is a well-characterized disorder leading to serous neurosensory elevation of the central macula. The acute form of the disease is associated with focal leakage at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) demonstrated with fluorescein angiography (FA). The disorder is self-limited in the majority of patients, who also regain excellent vision. Occasionally, the neurosensory detachment persists and leads to pigment epithelial and photoreceptor damage with visual impairment. The purpose of this clinical study is report the use of intravitreal bevacizumab is a new option in the treatment of the chronic or recurrent CSC.

NCT ID: NCT00537160 Withdrawn - Obesity Clinical Trials

Diet and Exercise in Overweight Children Postburn

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 0
Study type: Interventional

Examine clinical results of an interdisciplinary weight management program that includes medical evaluation, nutrition counseling, exercise, and behavioral interventions.

NCT ID: NCT00930189 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Subfoveal Choroidal Neovascularization

Comparative Study With Photodynamic Therapy And Triamcinolone Versus Photodynamic Therapy, Triamcinolone And Ranibizumab In Patients With Subfoveal Choroidal Neovascularization

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of photodynamic therapy with verteporfin (PDT) and IVTA vs triple therapy (TT) in patients with subfoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The investigators designed a prospective, comparative, randomized, double blind, controlled study. 15 patients with classic subfoveal choroidal neovascularization secondary to age-related macular degeneration were randomized. Triple therapy can potentially offer a new treatment modality for choroidal neovascularization in patients with macular degeneration and other diseases.

NCT ID: NCT01851408 Withdrawn - Melanoma Clinical Trials

Sorafenib and Temsirolimus in Treating Patients With Metastatic, Recurrent, or Unresectable Melanoma

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II portion of the trial is studying the side effects and best dose of temsirolimus when given together with sorafenib and to see how well they work in treating patients with metastatic, recurrent, or unresectable melanoma. Sorafenib and temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Sorafenib may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving sorafenib together with temsirolimus may kill more tumor cells.

NCT ID: NCT04558580 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Refractory Partial Seizures

Safety Study of Rufinamide Given as an add-on Therapy to Treat Patients With Seizures

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Rufinamide in reducing seizure frequency in subjects with partial seizures not fully controlled despite treatment with 1 to 3 concomitant antiepileptic drugs.

NCT ID: NCT00169923 Withdrawn - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Rosiglitazone in Patients With Stage 4 and 5 Chronic Kidney Disease

Hercules
Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study in patients with stage 4 and 5 chronic kidney disease is to determine whether rosiglitazone can reduce inflammatory markers and to investigate its effect on intima media thickness, calcification and pulse wave velocity.

NCT ID: NCT00247026 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Myelodysplastic Syndrome

The Efficacy of Coenzyme Q10 And Curcumin in Patients With Myelodysplastic Syndromes

Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To determine the clinical effects of coenzyme Q10 and Curcumin in improving the cytopenias of patients with myelodysplastic syndromes. we propose to explore the efficacy of the natural compounds curcumin and CoQ10 in MDS because these two agents possess many of the effects that are desirable in MDS.
